Yessss. Tomorrow is 70's dress down day at school and I was thinking bell bottoms and a groovy top but with sneakers. But I wanted to wear a dress and here you come with inspiration for my denim dress. I loved everything.
That sounds like an incredibly fun day! I'm a huge fan of the 70s. I do love a pair of great bell bottoms and sneakers. Glad you enjoyed the video and found some inspiration. Would love to hear about what you wear.
@@dorlevanos3480 Thank you so much for following along! 💛I truly appreciate it. That dress is pretty fantastic. I'm so glad that I restyled it to better fit my style. 🤩
Just goes to show there's clothes in the closets that will be turn into a gems of today rather than keep on buying to keep up the trend..loved your style 😊
YES! Honestly, I get way more joy out of creating new looks from what I already own than I do buying something new. It really allows me to get creative.
Hey Rebecca, I'm a local (#Somerville4eva) and while I don't shop vintage clothes, I am a thrifter, for sure. I went to Canal Street in Lawrence this week. They've rearranged and have a lot more vintage clothing than before. Might be worth a visit. Make sure you hit both locations (within walking distance of the other). There's also an excellent lunch spot in the building where the New Balance outlet is, a short drive away. Maybe I'll see you there!
Thank you so much Nico! I'm new-ish to Boston, so I appreciate the recommendation. I will 1000% check out both locations. And feel free to send me any other thrift or vintage places to check out. Love Somerville, btw! I try to hit up all the vintage and flea markets in Somerville. And I can totally see our paths crossing!
New subbie here❤ you’ve got great style and tips. Found you after I searched for ThredUP Hauls. I’m totally new to the world of thrifting and vintage. Glad I found your channel! 😊
Hello & welcome!! Thank you so much for that lovely compliment. I'm so happy that you're getting into the world of thrift and vintage, there are so many preloved clothes out there that need the right home. Plus, it's so much more creative and fulfilling having those unique pieces in your wardrobe. Let me know if there's anything that you would like to see on my channel. Also, would love to hear about your experiences shopping 2nd hand.
@@TheRELMCo thank you! So far I’ve only tried Thred up for thrifting because I’ve found it easy to search for things and the prices seem great. I’ve tried to set some guidelines for myself- go for natural fabrics, go for mid to higher end brands, go for things that i absolutely love. There’s only a few colors that I gravitate to so I’ve tried to stick to pieces that’ll fit in my closet’s color story. Also regarding patterns- I try to go for classic things like stripes. One thing that I find challenging is buying jeans online. I’d love to know if you have any tips for buying jeans online. Whether new or thrifted. Knowing how to measure oneself and checking the description online. Also a pet peeve I have is when you’ve worn your pair of jeans all day and they stretch out and lose shape. What fabric composition is necessary to avoid that from happening? Thanks and I wish you continued success on your channel!!
@@jennie.29.c I love that! It sounds like you understand your style and the pieces that fit your lifestyle. Denim jeans are comprised of cotton and synthetic elastin. The higher the elastin, the more stretch the jeans. This will also cause the jeans to lose their shape after wear. I would look for something with a higher percentage of cotton. I generally prefer my jeans with no stretch. As for finding the right fit, I recommend trying different brands to see which works best for you and your body type. Each brand uses a different fit model, which is why the fit and sizes vary between brands. And don't settle, only keep the jeans that fit you best. The other thing to think about when buying jeans is to lean towards quality. The higher quality of the fabric and the construction will create a better fit and ultimately improve the wear. Another thing to consider with jeans is the care. You don't want to wash your jeans after every wear and utilize the dryer as little as possible. The dryer will break down the fabric and take years off the lifespan of your jeans. I hope this was helpful! Keep me updated on your search and your thrifting journey. 🥰
You look really good with that shade of green, it goes with your skin color ❤
Thank you so much! I think the darker greens works best on me. Lighter and brighter shades really wash me out.
The green dress look is 🙌🏽🙌🏽stunning!! Love all of them all!!
Thank you! I really enjoyed creating new ways to wear these dresses. It really allows me to get more use out of my clothing.

I think you did a great job styling all of them, many options 😊
Thank you! Sometimes all you need is a little refresh of the pieces that you already own.
All are cute, but look three wins! 🎉
Thank you! I love reimagining my pieces.

Love all the looks but my fave was the denim dress with cord jacket
Thank you! I really think the layering style components really elevated the dress.
