Reef and Wreck Dives with Beqa Lagoon Resort, Fiji

Bula! Finally, I was able to compose a video of our reef and wreck dives at Fiji Beqa Lagoon! We enjoyed dives at Fiji's Scissors and ET Reefs with beautiful reef fish including schools of Anthias (Hawk, Purple, Lyretail, Redfin Magenta Anthias) fish swimming over Fijian soft and hard coral reefs. We saw pairs of black, white and yellow striped Moorish Idol fish with their long snouts that allow them to seek food deep in sponges. We dove the reef, the swim throughs at John's Tunnel's and swam a fair distance to visit the 1994 sunken Japanese Trawler wreck with a pair of circling bull sharks.
I love diving wrecks! The surreal beauty of an underwater wreck as it peers at you from the ocean’s dark depths is ghostly, appealing to your curious nature and drawing you to explore it deeper. Later, we visited another wreck, the Tasu II, a 100 ft. Longliner fishing vessel, sunk in the late 1990s to create an artificial reef at the Seven Sisters dive site.
We also dove Pearl Reef and Circus Circus Reef. It was my first time seeing Barberi Clownfish. And, are they so cute, darting around, in and out of a rather long carpet sea anemone. You wish you could just sit there and watch them all day long.
Jacques Cousteau put Fiji on the diving map after stating that, "Fiji was the soft coral capital of the world." There are over 600 species of coral here and fish unique to the Indo Pacific Ocean. What a fantastic trip, at a fantastic resort, the Beqa Lagoon Resort, and diving with fantastic friends!
