I still have hope for this world that there are kindness and helpful people out there, I was literally in tears when I saw so many homes on the news and RUclipsrs destroyed or flooded. Lots of people are homeless or building there homes. Hearing lots of pets or humans dead or getting rescued literally made me cry. God bless Florida and everyone in Florida who got hit by Ian

This is how people from all sides and all beliefs react to a real emergency, helping each other and coming to each others aid. When they act divisive, it’s not a real emergency… Like conspiracy theories.

All the animals that lost their lives either swept away or stuck in a home that flooded. So sad. Why did people get them in the first place if they were just going to abandon them in an emergency situation which they were warned about plenty of time in advance but people thought they could ride it out and be ok. But those who left their pets behind, no excuses. Our pets are our family, they’re our life, we owe it to them to protect them from a bad situation also, just as they’d do for us. I just don’t get it. If I knew a hurricane was coming and it was going to get bad, my dogs ARE GETTING THE HELL OUT OF THERE WITH ME! Period.... People can say whatever they want to this, it’s true and u know it. Of course I feel for the ppl in this situation too, but they KNEW what was coming, the animals didn’t. 😞
i SO AGREE WITH YOU.....never, ever leave pets behind, the anxiety alone , can you imagine, and noone there to comfort them.... always take them with you and evacuate early so you don't have to deal with traffic, long lines for gas, etc.... when will the residents of these hurricane states ever comprehend this?!?!?! ugggh.
That cat may have belonged to the guy or the woman recording. Another possibility is, maybe the cat got outside and the owners couldn't catch it before they evacuated. The video was out of context.
Say what you want about Americans, but when the chips are down we come together and help each other. Religion, politics, race or gender doesn't factor into the equation. WE STAND TOGETHER AS ONE.

We used to have a place in Naples, so sad to see all this. Hoping people and pets are okay.
This is painful to watch. What's happening in our world. Plague, Natural Disasters, War and Violence. Scary times ahead for all.
I’m going to say what everyone is probably thinking - Why the hell were people in a BOAT during a hurricane??
Also, why were people driving during a flood? Oh, that's right. We ignore evacuation orders around here. People think they're smarter than the government without checking their elevation vs the storm surge.

People ignoring the mandatory evacuation alerts and waiting until it gets too bad and THEN try try to leave, put first responders and others at risk when they have to go save them. All these rescuers should have statues instead of a memorial for the people who died, ignoring the orders.
No matter how the 😈👹👿👺 always will try to divide. When needed good will always win. These people have lost everything and need everything. Working together no matter. Patriots and the real American. It will take time to get better but it will 🙏
So sad but that brings people togehter for one and each other also pets find comforting at humans cuddle them just as humans find it by cuddle the pets too.
So true. Pets are such a comfort to us I don’t know how anyone could leave them behind. People say they are like family and yet so many leave them on their own when danger comes. No excuse for that !! 😡

4 months before Ian hit, condo owners in Fort Myers Beach unleashed a pack of separate lawsuits trying to stop the 'Low-light Turtle Law' which for some years has required all lights on the beach to be fitted with yellow/amber lenses for the benefit of baby sea turtles emerging from their nests. When sea turtles are born, they instinctively run toward the light. Historically, the land was dark and the ocean was light from the reflections of the moon and stars. With the condos and hotels bars and businesses all lighting up the beach, baby turtles have been running to the highway. The yellow and amber lenses helped the turtles. So do not feel sorry for these nasty selfish inconsiderate people of Fort Myers Beach. Thank Ian instead that the turtles may yet live.

Some of these people were extremely lucky that they were saved, but in truth the man and the woman in their cars, and the two on the sailboat, should NOT have been out at all.
Not a call you can actually make. The hurricane didn't go where it was projected to go. Some people expected to be perfectly fine and then suddenly found themselves in the middle of it.
Or any other number of scenarios ...
@@melodiefrances3898 All I know is, we got evacuation alerts, 24 hours before it hit. Looks to me like they decided to ignore that until it was too late.
@@melodiefrances3898 you are right. Hurricanes often don’t go where they are projected to go, &. You can run right into a hurricane while trying to run from one. That’s happened to so many people & I think that’s why many choose to stay in their homes. Also, The weather alerts kept saying that this was definitely going to hit Tampa & that was their main concern. I happen to live in Placida, (which was one of the hardest places hit , & I thought I would be safe until the last minute when they changed their forecasts. ) so I decided to stay, because I have been here for 26 years & i’ve never seen any thing remotely like this happening. I lost my pool cage & how do you have a new roof put on, but compared to so many others I feel very fortunate. God bless everyone that was affected by the storm. ❤️ 🙏

What were you doing there to begin with? You knew, well in advance, that a CAT 4 was coming AND your were told this BUT YOU KNEW BETTER. You could have just driven away! Cost to leave: 1 tank of gas Causalities=0. Cost to stay? Billions: to fish your out, to feed and water you in place... Causality= Unimaginable.
Please get off of your high horse. You have no idea what situations people are in & and why they choose to stay. I’ve spoken to many who said that if they had not stayed their homes would’ve been destroyed. Don’t be so quick to judge people.

Indeed. selfless acts to help people who had a adequate time to evacuate when there was a mandatory evac order. Now we have to spend taxpayer dollars rescuing them. Forgive me if I have little sympathy.
Some people want to stay. Look at Ukraine they had months to evacuate while Russian troops were on the border and now our taxes have to bail them out with aid
And all the animals who didnt have time to evacuate or proper "directions"?!

Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for?
In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look.
It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world.
We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet..
Please 🙏 Come back to the true path by repenting in the court of Almighty Allah, Lord of the worlds. Then you will get liberation in this world and hereafter.
