I had my stylist emulate this haircut yesterday, 25-Mar-2022. After a 3-year hair growth saga, I am overjoyed with happiness with yesterday's French girl bob haircut! I've always dreamed of and aspired to a chin-length bob, and with my thick hair Sam Villa's brilliant "take" on the layered style is youthful, playful, iconic and superbly feminine!
I have followed this tutorial three times and cut my own hair. It’s a bit tricky but I took my time. I love the results and have gotten many compliments on my hair. Thank you for your wonderful video!
I roughly followed this tutorial on myself. Didn't have a razor so I used cheap texturing shears instead. The sectioning REALLY helps. The final result isn't perfect but my hair has been messed up by stylists so many times that I figured I should just do it myself, and I'm pretty happy with it.

Excellent cut and instruction! I'm going to try this. I love this cut but never knew what to call it. I'm glad you styled it smooth and with a diffuser. I have naturally wavy hair and I suspect my hair would look a lot like the diffused version. I hope so! 🙂

Love this! The other tutorials I’ve found for a French bob just show a very minimally layered blunt bob with bangs. This cut is beautiful!
Think about techniques that minimize the effort to maximize the impact.

Absolutely. This will work with no modifications down to shoulder length at least. Just want to increase the length of the layers an equal amount.
