And that is probably because Bombay was the only city that let him be. Himself, without judgement. Futhermore, it's cosmopolitan, live and let live spirit, is what nourished his rooh. Personally, I think some of his best work are his stories and pieces set in Bombay. I also think, he pined bitterly at having to be separated from his favourite city. I don't think he fared well in any other place after that. Kaash aap log Bambai a paate. Yahan ek bahut khoob Manto walk hota hai, jis mein aap us har ek maqam dekh sakte hain, jo Manto Saheb ne apne afsano mein zikr kiya hai... Mostly writers n poets who have broken family past or not happy family concept they projected their misery on face of society why didn't the take action to change such face of society despite of just WRIITING in drunk state n smoking. Manto ne actually sex education dene ki koshish ke hai. or is society mai aisi education dene ka sochna bhi ghalat hai. laikin jo kuch hota a raha wo lack of sex education ke waja sy hi hai. jis mulk mai biokogy ki book mai reproduction ka chapter fahashi ky leye ihtajaj bun jaye wahan manto jesy free spirit logon ko ghalat hi samjhat jata rahy ga.
