- Couple of tunes from the loveable Aussie punks THE CHATS from their Electric Ballroom gig recently.
Tracks are: Nambored and Bus Money. Lost a bit of footage during Bus Money, but hopefully made up for it with gratuitous crowd shots tacked on the end. If you were there, good chance you can spot yourself and say helll yeah! Filmed by Lou Smith.
God damn he gets some killer bass sounds.
Yeah! Proper rip snorting.
it’s cos he has a bass with a pj pickup configuration and he probably has his amp cranked to get it to distort like that
Sir Henners doesn’t he only use the p pickup? That’s what it sounds like to me but I’m not sure
@@LouSmith right proper
You youngsters have no clue how old school these boys are. They are AWESOME DAMN.
Australia seem to be having an old school proper punk revival!
2:55-3:20 is the best audio ever recorded in human history
Haha. Good job I was there then!
I wish the whole video was that honestly
@@bobthesalesclerk I looked at my audio level meters during the intro to Bus Money and they were way hot, as in solid red the whole time, so I knocked them back to minimum. It did turn out that overcooked actually sounded alright. At least I caught that bit.
1:53 the photographer in the front row ahahah
As someone who's done live music photography this is like 70% of us at punk shows
Probably did it just to get in shows lolol
Like the rest of us.
@@LouSmith hell yaa buddy smartest way to do it
@@vhsplays3560 Aman!
Imagine being that talented that you can stick your middle finger up to today's music, do what you want, absolutely shred and be successful at the same tine! BRING BACK PUNK MUSIC!!
He plays the bass like he is Malcolm young playing his Gretchen firebird......I think it gives this band their sound.
He sure does.
I would watch but I'm on Smoko.
No worries mate! I'll leave you alone.
Discovered them yesterday a month after they were in the uk aww my life 😂😂😂
They played in my sons boozer last year Lou. Excellente my man !
Some boozer that would've been that night! Thanks!
This is the kinda shit I wouldnt put on my spotify playlist, but I'd lose my mind to it live lol
Haha. Me too if I'm honest.
Does it get any better than this?
I didn't have time to listen. I'm on Smoko.
3:20 why did you lower the audio level it was so good..
The audio was solid red on the camera VUs which meant that everything was distorting like mad. It turned out that didn't matter for the intro which sounded great anyway but it would also have shredded all the vocals and everything else if I'd left it high.
Don't know how I missed viddying this one till tonight, Lou. (I have 2 YT acct's.)
Great job given the conditions. Middle sized venue or converted theatre?
LOVE these guys. Australia has so many excellent bands now, it's stupid.
Thanks Mike. Middle sized venue I guess. It's been a music venue for eighty years at least. Prior to that I have no idea. I was hired to take stills, so I'll mainly concentrated on that. Our boy Charlie from Shame joined then onstage fire a song too.
Aw yea nice
Oh fuck yeah
Haha! That's fast becoming the standard response.
Lou Smith oh yeah that’s how this video makes me feel in 3 words
Haha. That'll be why alright.
Aw fuck ya! Come to U.S!!!!!!
Fuuuuck yes
bean trees that's all there is to say..
@@LouSmith they make other modern punk bands look like boy bands.
@@suburbansymbolism Sweet though. A friend of mine's autistic fan boy son got invited to be at their soundcheck just now. I only saw them this once. I do love a bit of Amyl too!
hope he found his go card and got some more golden oak
🤔
I thought nam bored was being bored about talking about nam.
have you ever been to Nambour?
@@Blissbomb2 I don't even think he's Aussie aye
Not a phone in sight awsome!!!!
They saw I had it covered!
Bass is out of Tune on the first song. . Or is it just me?
Bass sounds out of tune
