Labor nurse here! The shakes and vomiting are super normal. And it's from your hormones and adrenaline flowing like crazy for your delivery. I've had patients have it with or without the epidural or any medications. You did absolutely amazing! Congrats!

The nausea and shakes are 100% natural! I have had a 100% intervention free home birth, and had it. I've had it with every baby, and I'm about to have #4! :)

Vomiting and feeling shaky are totally normal signs of transition, which is the third stage of labor (7-10cm) right before pushing.
Highly recommend the witch hazel "Tucks" pads for once your stitches start getting itchy. They are a life saver.

From my experience (mom of 5, 2 with epidural 3 without) the epidural causes drowsiness so the tiredness probably was from being exhausted but also from the epidural!
The throwing up and shakes are totally totally normal and common! Pain and a surge of hormones

I've had five kids, never got the shakes never threw up but I hear it's very common to vomit during labor. Glad you and baby are doing well congrats, she is beautiful!

Gosh that is an ADORABLE baby. She looks like she's smiling all the time!
And yeah no one warned me about throwing up either. Lol That's normal for labor in general but the shakes were definitely from the epidural (worst part of my c-section).
The shakes happen after unmedicated births too. It's the release of hormones and endorphins.

Congratulations! What a cutie! Back in the 80's if you were going to have an epidural they wouldn't administer it until just before transition. By transition the whole laboring process was almost over anyway, so I didn't bother for 4 pregnancies. If they'd allowed it at the beginning that might have been a different story. Although, back then we were all doing Lamaze and felt pretty pressured to avoid epidurals.
Ah mama, my first baby was born 26 hours after my very first contraction. The fatigue is by far the hardest part .
My third baby I had the shakes SO bad! It's transition before starting to push. I had no epidural but also had the shakes so I doubt it was the medicine.
Congratulations! I believe the shaking was due to the epidural. I had it too in my experience.
Happened to me too and that was one of the reasons I went unmedicated the second time
I’ve had 6 children, first 2 I had an epidural, last 4 were all natural and I had the shakes for every delivery.
Congratulations! Now this is the easy part. You don't have to worry until she starts walking and talking. Mine will be 20 this year and I have happy memories of when he was little.
