The Siegfried at 36:38 still baffles me. He walks forward while you're still in blockstun, then decides "Now's the time" and then bets everything after putting himself in 1 Brave Point Danger
I got cooked by Djeeta with pan and I've never felt so humiliated. That pan demoralize you when you losing, its psychological warfare.

Also just noticed if you're on the temple stage and not using Anila, she appears in the background with the rest of the generals. It's a nice touch. Can't wait for the to add more of the generals like Dog or Rabbit.

I don't even play this game, but there really needs to be a mod that replaces the frying pan BONK with the Scout's "BONK!"
The only way I'm fine with the Pan ban is if the item was changed to have high chance of doing a crit with the TF2 Pan SFX. Then it would be funny enough to make up for the ban.

When I used to play Smash, I played Peach and loved getting the pan. Never thought I'd miss hearing a good bonk sound again.
So I'm on team unban the pan.
The Pan also has an unusual shape which probably makes the sight reading of space a bit weird, the bonk however is very very good, unban the pan let her cook

for a while now i've been using yuel's fans which also make a distinct noise on hit but honestly i can't tell if i'm hit confirming any better. the hit noise is already pretty distinct with the regular swords. i do think it would be cool if they added the same hitsound accessibility feature that sf6 has. but i'm not sure it actually offers any competitive advantage.
Something like this will vary from person - person but its undeniably an advantage but I don't think it's that big of one. Hitconfirming is not especially hard in this game imo, but I understand the reasoning.

I wish there were good Djeeta guides out there because I've had a hard time getting her to Masters.
There are a bunch of Gran guides out there that you can follow, you'll just have to skip the parts where they talk about the boot and figure out how to utilize rekka. You could look at some top player matches in the in-game match finder to see how they're using that instead.

Honestly Djeeta doesn't really need a guide, none of her kit is all that complicated. All you really have to do is use fireball to cover your approach, and be ready to antiair people who don't respect it. Everything is just comes from just playing the game well.
There is also the GBVSR:Dustloop which gives you plenty of tips on how her normals/specials work and some ways to use them.
The pan noise only comes out by the end of the move. Even though auditory human reaction is faster than visual reaction, is it by such a little margin (about 20 milliseconds fasters) that its like 1/6th of one frame.
In other words, players are getting their hit/block confirms visually before the audio cue. If you only go by audio cue it may actually be too late to choose your string route.
Always cool to see yourself in a video. I was autopiloting heavy in our set, but I think my Cag is slightly better now 😅 ggs

There needs to be more research into the genre of comedy sound effects. Its underused in games in general, to say nothing of fighting games.

I legit lost it with this one 😂. Also after trying 5 different characters, the most satisying thing for me in granblue is to hit f.H into full combo with Djeeta. One of the most fun shotos I've played ever. Now I just need to grind to join the pan nation.

It's a small advantage, but an advantage still. If they changed it to the pan making that *bonk* sound on hit and on block, it would be fine.^^

Considering Lowain is actually the chef of the Grandcypher alongside his bros, dual wielding pans wouldn't be out of character for our lad.

Abouth the move where Yuel comes at you charging from stance: check her with your 5M or get her with your your own rekka. The hurtbox of Yuel on that move is very short.

But to be serious for a second, games in general gotta up their sound design game. We've got em crunchy, we've got em bass boosted but damn does something distinct and satisfying still seem so rare. Hell Pizza Tower used a stock sound effect but it's wormed into peoples minds so well that it is now associated with that game any time they hear it. That's power, a power few games can achieve with all the professional experience in the world.

I guess the real issue with the pan is that it's not unlocked by default, right? Players gonna get real annoying if they're allowed to use a competitively advantageous weapon, but only some setups had enough Djeeta games run on them for the pan to be available. Gonna blame their losses on being made to play on the panless setup instead of holding up the tournament for people to finish using the other setup first.
You can just buy it in the shop for pretty little, or just ignore the players that whine about the fact that they can't play their character unless their character happened to be leveled significantly.
Man I wanna play Yuel so bad but every Yuel player I see makes her look like the sweatiest non fundamental character ever, is she just rushdown or are the Normals as good as Lancelot who does pretty much the same?

Yean unban it, who cares if she's maybe 1% more effective with it. It's not like it affects the opponents gameplay and it's not like enables anything frustrating or unfair.
Still an advantage. And it does extra mental dmg to opponent too
Issue is other characters don’t have access to that advantage no matter how insignificant it might be. It’s like banning the Vega stage just because Vega gets an extra move on it despite how incredibly bad it is it’s still something other characters don’t get to have.
Give all the players loud and obvious hit noises. Make them all obnoxious.
