Hi, you can use your yarn how ever you please. It certainly would be great as a weft yarn. Or it can just sit around looking fabulous :-)

i've been doing this kind of thing by spinning my singles on either my Quebec production wheel or another of my high ratio wheels, then plying the corespun singles on a low ratio wheel. It would be so AWESOME to do all the work on one wheel!!

Does she do the plying without setting any of the singles, and only sets the twist at the very end?

Is she plying the yarn that was spinned previously? I am using an Ashford super Jumbo e spinner and I want to know after I spin the yarn should I do this method on the ply s or spin z?

    Hello,
First, I would like to say I love your videos. :-) I'm a beginner, and I have a question. With those yarns, how do you set them ? You wash them ?? Cold water or hot water ? Or steam them ? When I put mine in water, it's not a very beautiful result. But, as I say, I'm a beginner. And I have issues with the washing part. My fibers don't like this part (I use vegetal and synthetic fibers).
    Can you advise me ?
    Sylvie

Lovely! ....but what do you do with such thick yarns?

I made a scarf from a thick to thin roving yarn on size 12mm needles 10 years ago (first knit) and it still looks great and feels so soft! I used Colinettes Point 5 (now discontinued). I imagine you could use yarn like this for the same, or a blanket or cowl or whatever...theres ton of patterns of Ravelry that you can search to see what others have made with chunky yarns for ideas.

I just bought a country spinner at the Bendigo Sheep show but it only came with one bobbin. Surely it needs to be supplied with two or even three bobbins?

Will this actually be used in a weave? Will it be a wall hang or a rug?
