    Such a good breakdown as always. I say it all the time. Alè’s bass playing allows the band to do so much as a 3 piece. There are not a lot of bands that drop the guitar out completely and still sound full. It’s her bass and their harmonies that carry so much of those moments. It’s one of the things that make them so unique

    • @RamonRodriguez-wp2wk
      @RamonRodriguez-wp2wk Месяц назад +3

      Agree. A lot of people don't realize how hard it is to be in a power trio band. If one just screws up the whole song falls apart. Fails can not be masked. If Ale screws up on those parts you mentioned pau's drums can not recover the song.

      Well said, 3 member bands (the good ones) could not exist without an awesome bass player. Her tone, her technique, her stage presence, her bass lines with personality, it all helps have that full sound the Warning is known for. Of course, Dany using the harmonizer also helps.

    Just coming back from the concert in berlin ... Gosh - you need to hear Ale playing this five string live - what a sound. It feels like an earthquake coming over you, but still clear and precise. What a wonderfull instrument. And she plays it like a godess - changing between finger and pick like a wizard - once played smooth and in the next moment hard as being hit by concrete... Damn that girl is good at it - breathtaking...

    • @TheWarningSoundscape
      @TheWarningSoundscape  Месяц назад +1

      I'm so jealous you got to experience them live. Sounds like it was a memorable experience. If the 5 string bass sounds great on video, I can only imagine how great it sounds in person.

    So, so, so, so, so good indeed! & yea, it’s hard to beat Dust to Dust…. but Disciple is SO good…. & who doesn’t love MORE funk…. but Survive is so iconic…. Ok, they’re ALL my favorite (along with the next 5 as well… and 50 others😂)

    The Warning son tan excelentes en vivo ,sus temas están llenos de fuerza y energía son maestras de la composición y estructuras musicales pueden crear un buen tema con solo 3 acordes inteligentemente mezclados ,su rock es energético y sus riffs muy pegajosos y todos sus temas tienen ganchos adecuadamente colocados para que el publico participe en vivo,el rock de TW llego para cambiar la historia del rock ,sus riffs no son facíl de olvidar se meten en tu cabeza ,sus solos cortos y de calidad cuando el tema lo requiere ,la fuerza de TW esta en la composición de sus temas

    Guessing Error is in Part 2, the switching between pick and finger style mid-song is something to behold if you can find a video where she stays in frame the whole time.

      At this time not sure if it’ll be on the video cause there is so many to choose from! However, I do plan to make a full analysis of Error in which I’ll explore the entire song including the bassline.

    MORE is the most intricate of them .... little slides / hammer on and pull offs are hard enough on guitar ... but She nails everything on a 5 string Bass.... those strings are like cables..... Ale Rocks !!!!

    • @TheWarningSoundscape
      @TheWarningSoundscape  Месяц назад +1

      Agreed. From the technical point of view, MORE has more intricacies. Her being able to play those hammer ons, pull offs, slides while singing is even more impressive. She rocks indeed.

  • @mikex4941
    @mikex4941 Месяц назад +3

    Simple yet highly effective basslines which sit in the mix well when needed, but steps up and stands out when the guitar drops out or plays simpler. Not gonna lie, I miss her PJ bass growl from the earlier days, as her 5-string Spector with soapbar pickups only gets that growl when she uses a pick, as she doesn't really dig in when finger plucking and plays with a lighter, more controlled touch. Regardless, Ale has many little bass fills, licks and riffs sprinkled all throughout TW's music that really make up their signature sound.

    • @TheWarningSoundscape
      @TheWarningSoundscape  Месяц назад +1

      That's one of the things I like about her playing. She's a smart musician. She knows when to step back and play the supporting role in the right moments of the song. Always giving priority to the whole priority instead of showing off. She's got the skills to play complicated lines in all of her songs but she knows beautiful music relies on balance and she does it perfectly.

    Thanks this is cool!
    On CHOKE, during the verse, right after the intro and monstrous main riff - there's a beautiful l'il "In the pocket" bass pattern that she does, just gorgeous! And don't you dare not give an 'honorable mention' to that beautiful, but wicked bass slide in ANIMOSITY. 😂
    Lookin forward to seein the next five.

    I may always love Ale's bass in Dust to Dust the most - it is right up there with Alice In Chains' Would as my all-time favorite. And thank you for showing everything Ale is doing during the song More, I think a *lot* of fans completely overlook it.

    I am Ale’s number one fan. How can I choose when almost all are epic? And on top of all the other accomplishments she is very precise. There is a live performance kicking around RUclips on which she makes a mistake and both Dani and Pau look at her in surprise.

    • @TheWarningSoundscape
      @TheWarningSoundscape  Месяц назад

      You're right; they're all epic! The bass is a lot harder to play than what many may think. While it may not be flashy like a guitar/drum solo, playing it requires it a high level of concentration. Mistakes on guitar and drums can be dressed up easily; when one makes a mistake on the bass; even if its minor; EVERYONE notices it. So yeah, more props to Ale for not only playing entertaining lines but having perfect timing and accuracy playing her instrument. A true craft.
