Thank you so much!!! I never want these uploads to end. I’m a 19 year old lad, also an artist. These are hugely inspiring musically and in general. I love this band and I can’t imagine what it was like to witness them at their peak. Don’t get me started on Hessie. Thanks so much Peter. You’re a legend.
Hey Peter ty for doing this. Makes me sad tho😢.miss Paul he was really an exceptional drummer and harmony w/ band is unparalleled. Glad I got to see them w him from the hard rock hotel grand opening in Hawaii as a 3 piece up to last tour w/ him in San Diego with Sheryl Crow. Love to you and Mark
This is utterly phenomenal - beyond the rare footage of a live performance of "Left Hand", just a great example overall of how FANTASTIC they are as a live band, something I'm always left marveling at with all of their performances. When I saw Neil roundabout 2014, same thing - constantly amazed at the musicianship. And these clips are great! A real sense of being there with them, and I love the banter ❤
Loved it, loved it, loved it! My favourite Crowded House line up and great close ups of Tim and Paulo! I still can't watch Paul on video without getting emotional. Such a loss. Congratulations Peter and Mark on another excellent production! Keep up the great work!
Yes UK out second bite of the cherry, it seemed to change quickly, from UK music press hating the first two albums, candy suddenly a love affair with Woodface
How wonderful, I was there in Ghent, somewhere in the front. Great to have footage from a pre mobile phone time. I remember Paul was in good form that night.❤
glorious these are; thank you (& to the man that did something magical with old tape!)). I won’t ever forget seeing them live (nyc in the early 90s?).. a club announced a one night one show thing; we got in! just a wonderful show. (packed w/ record co people no doubt) but that band was wonderful! CBGBS.
Love it! I saw the Woodface tour in Montreal. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and it’s still one of my favorites. I was never able to see Split Enz live, so this was as close as I got!
Thank you Mr. Green and Mr. Goulding. i find myself wishing "unplugged" material with the added voices of Mr. Hart and brother Brian Timothy could have been further explored.
Peter green and associates. You are a treasure for uploading these. Thank you for your work over the years for the fans. Still remember being allowed to attend a sound check in Newcastle as part of frenz of the enz.
Love it Peter! Brings back some fantastic memories with everyone. Thanks for zooming in on me during Left Hand, never knew what I looked like during the concert, glad I was dancing 😊❤ 8:10
Hey Peter, just wanted to say thank you so much for this regular delve into the archives. You’re a legend. Neil’s voice was spectacular around this period. I always wonder what would have happened instead of having the finality of breaking up if they’d just said ‘let’s take a few years out, explore some different stuff and see where we are in 5 years’ IMO I think they would’ve become the biggest band in the world, especially if you look at what came next. Coldplays early albums were very much a less accomplished sounding Crowded House. I’m a pretty successful songwriter and session musician and I can see so much of the Crowdies as an influence through a lot of those 90’s/early 00’s bands and acoustic movement stuff.
Love this so much! Thanks Peter & Mark! I wish that Crowded House will play the Paradiso again in the near future, such a great venue, such good vibes!
Our pleasure glad you enjoyed it. I do keep saying that Tim Finn and Andy White should consider the Paradiso for their upcoming duo album, such a good venue.
Desperate to get a copy of this - I was at the last night T&C show and it was one of the greatest I've ever seen - Hester was in fine form and as any veteran of early Crowded House knows, Hessie was the heart & soul of the group; when he was "on" they were untouchable and was he ever "on" that night - "Goldie Hawn was loosely based on me" :), My wife & I still quote some of his little excursions from that night. No Tim sadly, but I think it was a jet lagged Eddie Rayner on keyboards. I have the individual songs released on the singles but missed out on the whole show. They really should do a full complete release.
What fantastic viewing and listening material, thanks. Extra special for me because this was the tour when I saw them for the first of what has turned out to be many times, at the Bierkeller in Bristol. Actually remember them opening with Tall Trees - featured here - although my personal highlight was a little later in the set and I Feel Possessed, the chorus of which basically drew me in for the long haul! That happened to be one of their first nights sans Tim Finn. Have heard/read a lot about the sometimes uncomfortable dynamics on stage when Tim was a member and kind of wish I’d got to see that short-lived incarnation, but that Bierkeller date really showed how the original trio + Mark Hart really clicked as a live unit.
Hey Peter! Memories of the show in Austin, sans Tim😢. Was a great time My first chance ever to see "the boys". Most of the audience ended up on the stage! We stayed down below so we could see what was going on!
@@petergreen2534 Don't think Nick was into Tim being in the band. Saying he wasn't a fan of his music and wanted him just to guest, rather than join the band proper.
Thanks incredibly for sharing this! And absolutely phenomenal audio!! I know the video is really rare but I do wonder, was the audio of the entire gigs recorded seperately and is there any chance it'll ever be released?
@@petergreen2534 Will they ever (in full) see the light of day, or can we just look forward to being tantalized by occasional wonderful droplets like these?

A total pleasure Chris, glad you enjoyed them a huge credit goes to Mark who went beyond the call of duty around these .
Balm for the soul, Peter *thank* *you* ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

I have so much love for this. Saw them so many times, then, before, after, and again in Chicago and Nashville this year. I feel so lucky. 💜

Not all gigs were recorded, chunks of these 3 were, mostly Gent on our tiny dat player.
