    Excellent video, thanks! Wow! Who knew the Mirider was so capable😮 i love the idea of bike packing in the Highlands...not sure which bike to get but with a setup like the one you used, the possibilities are endless...Scotland is so beautiful.❤

      Definitely convenient and impressive little bike for what it is! I am very much enjoying e-bike packing in the highlands, I have some other Scotland e-bike packing videos with different e-bikes which you can find on the channel.

    Well done on completing it - love the challenges you do - always a great watch and a little different - looks like a great route (certainly the bits in the daylight 😀:)
    Hope you got back to the van ok - have a lovely weekend, all the best, David 👍

    Worth a try for sure, lifes too boring without trying slightly mad stuff. I've wondered about carrying a power station for on the go charging so thanks for trying that. Ive got the carrera e folder and thats pretty decent and not expensive so might try a similar adventure!
    All the best 👍

    great test , but too short a range , I will stick with my much cheaper little folder that easy does over 100 miles on one battery without all the extra powerbanks lol , Fiido L3 Long Range Electric Bike , I was tempted with the one you are testing a while back when another van lifer recommended it but the price put me off .

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      Fun adventure for sure. But it wouldn’t be to fair to compare a MiRider to a Fiido L3 long range on range. The Mirider is made for commuting and has a 252wh battery with a advertised 45mile range on PAS 1, the Fiido L3 is make for long range with over 4 times the battery at 1113Wh and advertised 120mile range on PAS1

    • @uptowndisco2
      @uptowndisco2 11 месяцев назад +1

      Why are you still awake at this time ? lol , yes horses for courses , the MiRider is a much nicer bike , Fiido is much more basic with no gears etc , I enjoyed watching you trip though , take care . @@MispronouncedAdventures 🚲🙂

    Knew you had made it when you had 9 miles to go and a fresh battery, saddle sore is a pain figuratively and literally, lol, helps if you bike a few miles every day getting ready for the longer bike rides, plus no backpack, strap everything on the back.

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah. When I did last battery swap I knew I could run it on maximum assistance to power there quickly. I do imagine it’s a tolerance which you can build up for saddle sore

    Thanks for testing this, had my sights on something similar but those hills put me off. And how the Scots don't have a proper bike trail alongside the lake is beyond me, as lakeside won't have many hills.

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +2

      Don’t be calling our Lochs! A Lake! That would get you in trouble!
      I imagine others do have cycles paths. Unfortunately not in this case getting past the hills

    • @fraserthomson5766
      @fraserthomson5766 11 месяцев назад +1

      You talking about the same folks who named a lake, "Lake Lakey"?

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      @fraserthomson5766 not quite in this situation, Loch Lochy is a Anglicisation of the original name which is Loch Lòchaidh. The first loch refers to it as a body of water, the Lochy / Lòchaidh part loosely translates as a colour. A type of dark black or reflective black.
      However, there are plenty examples like that, like “Glen Dale” in Yorkshire, for example, is Valley Valley.

    doesn't south count as constantly going downhill, even if uphill bc it's down south despite gravity dragging us to the centre

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      I was right North East the whole route. So did I right hill up the whole time with that logic?

    • @MispronouncedAdventures

      I think I used about 1700-1900wh in energy in total. Looking at powerbanks used and batteries.
      No it doesn’t have regen braking. It seems regen is pretty rare in e-bikes at the moment
