  • New 2024 Suzuki GSX 8R | KNOX at EICMA 2023
Knox is back again at EICMA. As well as exhibiting on our own stand, we take a bit of time out to check out the latest new models for 2024.
The fourth video in our series from EICMA is a quick first look at the 2024 Suzuki GSX8R.
Expanding Suzuki's GSX range, the new GSX-8r has been launched. With a GSX-8s derived motor, chassis and electronics, we're sure it will be a popular motorcycle... However, we can't but reminisce of times when Suzuki produced real GSXR's that got your blood flowing and heart pumping! Maybe one day...
Hopefully, we'll get the chance to ride one soon!
For the latest spec and info, check out bikes.suzuki.co.uk/bikes/spor...
Thanks for watching, please like comment and subscribe. We'll see you on the next one.

It looks so good especially the black one. The design is like mixture of RS and R7 🥹❤️

Why review it? if your going to slate it. It's a decent bike every review it's had says it's a decent bike with bags of torque and a fun bike to ride. I love this bike and I will have no regrets buying this bike.

Dang, so I am in the market for bikes. This one really caught my eye. But I feel like you downplayed it so much versus what it really is. Granted im not some super experienced person and am looking to get a bike like this intentionally. As you said good for beginners and all that. I dont think it was ever supposed to be what you wanted it to be. IF that makes sense.

Im in the same boat, i listen a lot to a polish track racer/stunter and american racer and they both tested this bike and said its the best in its class. I was riding 125cc for 2 years then passed a full license exam on MT07 and i dont know if i should go for this class or a bit higher to something like mt 09 :D GSX-8R seems very practical - ergonomics are comfy, there is a good power low down and u've got fairing and windshield to help with the wind. MT 07 was crazy fun for me so if GSX-8R is more powerful and has better suspension i guess it should be more than fine :D

Don't worry about what Knox or anyone else says. They've missed the point of what the bike actually is compared to what they want it to be. Go to a dealer, check it out & test ride it & as many other bikes as you can too before you buy. The only opinion that matters is yours.

Completely agree. They weren't that positive about the 8s last year as well, and it was voted best bike of the YEAR by many riders. This is mostly the same with some upgraded suspension and wind protection. Unless they messed that up, it will be a great bike once again. I don't see how this could be as unexciting as Knox make it look like. Offcourse it's not a gsxr, but suzuki didn't even name it that...

The 8R is more powerful than the Yamaha R7, which I feel is the bike Suzuki was targeting with this model.

Having just bought a 2024 GSX-R750 in the US, I'm undoubtedly biased towards the old guard inline 4 configuration, but even if I was in the market for a modern middle-weight twin, the GSX-8R would be a hard pass. 205 kg isn't unreasonable, but with less than 100 hp (even if the engine's moderately torquey), the lack of top-end would be noticeable coming from a more aggressive super sport. I'm also not big on the looks and identity crisis seating position, but that's obviously subjective.
I'm sure it's a great bike, but like so many other Suzukis, it just screams "meh."

Spent too much time talking about what you have. Not everyone wants a super sport.
