Nice review. I do own a Renegade Super C, Verona LE which is about $150k more than the one you reviewed. 20k towing with a bigger engine, heavier frame and a real jake brake which lets you drive down mountain passes with confidence. For those interested in purchasing one of these units be sure to look at all the different price points and manufactures. Not all Super C's are created equal. There are also a couple of FB groups dedicated to Super C's and they are a wealth of knowledge and insights. Happy travels.
Five2Go we flat tow a1/2 ton pickup truck. It is 6500lb and we usually load an bunch of stuff in that. So we really don't come close to the max towing capacity. The other thing is that I can't tell any difference in performance with or with my toad. Maximum weight for the RV is 34,300lb; maximum GCVW is just over 54,000lb. The chance we will over load even the RV is close to zero. One thing many RVers never consider is the weight limits of their unit and as a result there are tire failures and accidents that could have been avoided because of over loading. We bought our Renegade because of safety, drivability, and quality of the build. We can go out for a few days or a month and know we will be comfortable. We have camped in 100 degree temps in the summer and down to 8 degrees in winter without any problems. They are really wonderful RVs and we have never looked back nor regretted spending the money on our unit.
Those super price tags are pretty rough, that's why we always just walk past them at shows and dealerships. At least with A's there are much cheaper options and plenty of them on the used market to browse through. They're great purpose-built rigs though.
This is pretty cool, not for your beautiful family, but cool to look at, nonetheless! I agree with you about the TV. Our first trailer was a toy hauler. It had a television, but it was only 13" and it was up really high. Not only was I straining my eyes, I was straining my neck.
That sounds awful! It's kind of like the trend a few decades back of putting TV holes over fireplaces in houses. That's the *worst* location to put a TV! 😂😂😂
Hi Guys I to like to go and look at the New RV. In most cases it Doesn't Cost anything to go and look And that's the best way to see what you want in a RV.Good Video
Thanks for the recommendation Jim! We're not considering a Super C for our family right now though. All the extra cost of that big truck chassis with huge payload and towing capacity is wasted on us. We're definitely looking for a Class A, but Bob had warmed this one up for us the other night so we couldn't resist checking it out. 👍👍
I’d like to say that I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and showing even the one’s that are above your price point. Do you know what type of licenses is required for that specific Super C ? Will a CDL be required for that type of chassis ? It probably has air brakes too. Again thanks for the tour really appreciate it. Y’all be careful out on the ice too.
We use a GoPro Hero 7 for all of our videos that aren't filmed at home. No attachments, no accessories, it's just a great little camera that fits in my pocket and out of the way when we're not filming rather than lugging around the big ole DSLR.
@@Five2Go it was nice. The rvs weren't as crowded so easier to shoot video. Pretty large but no where as big as Hershey show. Mostly travel trailers but also enough 5th wheels. Very few motor homes. A million tiffans but only 1 dynamax and it was sold. No truck campers. Our next step to full time will be looking at side by sides to verify we can step down from jeep to side by side. Then probably buying a 1 ton truck.
@@Five2Go there are two class As we wanted to see again. Canyon Star 3927 and Outlaw. We have yet to see an outlaw 38kb in person. It's most likely going to be 1 ton single wheel pulling dual axle momentum toy hauler ( g or light m ) with a side by side. But there is still the slight chance of outlaw/canyon star pulling a new jeep
We've looked at the cost of our two main options: getting a motorhome or going back to truck + trailer/fiver. We're going to be spending 3-4 weeks in each location this time around instead of 3-4 days so it makes more sense for us to keep the van and small car and drive a (used) motorhome between campgrounds. The little car that we got is a hybrid and we're spending less each month on the payment and gas than we were just spending on diesel for the truck we had, and that's not to mention the much higher loan payment on top of that. Motorhomes are a bit more than TT's and fivers, though not as much as you'd think when looking at the used market. Given all the factors it makes the most sense to us to go this route. Plus we like change! 😋
Come on, you said "beefy" at least twice in this video, LOL. Hey, ya know what? We were against having an oven in our Class A and then the dealer failed to follow through with removing it in the RV we purchased. It turned out great though - pizza comes out GREAT (they come out a bit dry in a convection oven), and we can bake bread, cakes, buns, brownies. Mmm. So don't worry if you end up with a rig that has a real oven. Just sayin'. :)
Haha, yes! I said it quite a few times in that first Cruise America video. One guy theorized that I was getting paid each time I said it... I wish! 😂😂😂

Oooh, that sounds nice! We're curious - what do you use all that towing capacity for?

That is the one I want to go to my daughters house in San Antonio that is just what I want thanks for showing it
Thanks for watching!
Super C has a super price tag. If you win any car races, it could help pay it off. After the kids move out of course. :) Beautiful RV though.

Even people in HOUSES are putting their TV up high. Craaaaazy, LOL.
That's a great Super C... I want it.. darn it! lol. Great video!
Haha! Thanks Dean!

Thanks Jim! We love looking at RVs, even ones we have no intention of buying. We learn something new every time we go in a rig though!
You might want to look toward the Entegra Accolade 37TS. It’s not as high end and a little cheaper in the 180s.

I love watching all these tours you guys have been doing as you look for your new one. What camera did you use to record this with?

We were in this exact one today at harrisburg rv show
Awesome! How was the show?

Wait so why not go back to the rig you guys had? Cause you said Erin is gonna drive the van anyway right?

Nice!!!
Thanks!
You should look at the rate of registrations at iws sales they're better ones believe me
I love the semi. I’m getting a semi right now just looking at this shit.
Haha! Super C's are really cool, and they look GREAT with that huge cab on the front instead of the wimpy little van nose sticking out. 😂😂😂

I did, didn't I? I just can't help it, haha! 😂😂😂
Definitely, people live full time in smaller things than a Super C - try a Skoolie or a Van conversion!
TV’s above a door they should make it drop down
Did you say beefy
1st.
Woohoo! 😜
Did people give you shit for saying beefy? Lol
