    I love your channel even though I’m old and already retired. I’m still working part time ( RN) and paying for a bucket load of house repairs. It’s a good feeling being able to save still, and pay for house upgrades even in my senior years.

      Yes! That is great! I have been thinking about staying on as PRN after I quit that second job. It all just depends on how quickly I actually pull the trigger to move to Sweden. 😊

    You are killing it! I vote for the thirteen month option if at all possible, it would be awesome to go out with an extra $5K. Sorry you got so sick, hopefully that won’t happen again in the next seven months 🤞. Hang in there, time will fly by and you’ll be set up for Sweden before you know it. Merry Christmas, happy new year and see you in 2025 🎉.

      Yeahhhh I do think I’ll still plan on sticking it out for the full 13 months. I think I was just feeling so worn out from being sick that I was questioning it. But in the long run, one more month of pushing it would be worth it. 😬

    You are inspiring to the nth degree! Your hustle will get you the life you deserve as I believe that you reap what you sow. I am sick from working 80 hour weeks and the doubts are starting to creep in, but I hope you keep going and try to get to that thirteenth month!

      Honestly eeeeeeverybody at BOTH my jobs has been sick. Whatever is going around is really knocking people out! So, I can’t blame myself too much I think. I’m just glad it passed pretty quickly and I was able to get back to normal.😅 Hope you can do the same!

    Glad you are on the mend. Yes we appreciate the hustle, I don't know of any FI channels where one person is working two jobs!

    • @QuesttoFIRE
      @QuesttoFIRE  24 дня назад +2

      I think this is the opposite of what most people recommend.😅 Most would say to reduce expenses as much as possible and just enjoy the journey, even if it takes longer. But I’m over here like: “FI OR DIE!!” 🤣🤣

    Merry Christmas! I’m glad you’re feeling better. I understand you. As a person working two jobs, I was so sick too… cold, upper respiratory infection… I too questioned but I know the goals are worth it

    We call it a Magic month, when we get paid the extra paycheck. In my case 3 checks in one month.

    Also I’m thinking of getting an automatic kitty litter outfit for my two cats . Just curious which one didn’t you like and do you like your new one better?

    • @QuesttoFIRE
      @QuesttoFIRE  24 дня назад +1

      I had bought an ELS PET automatic litter box. It’s the kind that has a rake style that automatically scoops through the litter for you and deposits into a separate bin container. A couple big problems with that particular style I found-
      1- the rake didn’t always get everything, and wouldnt quite scrape the bottom of the litter pan well enough, so eventually there was pretty much a layer of litter cement in the bottom of the pan that I had to deal with. 🤣
      And 2- the bin for the dirty litter it did scoop wasn’t very big. I had to empty/change the bag every 2-3 days.
      Between those two things above, it really wasn’t saving me any work. In fact I think it created more work for me because of the amount of deep cleaning of the litter box itself I needed to do.
      I’m not saying I’d never have an automatic litter box again, but I’d choose a different style based off of my experience with this one. I ended up just going for a low-tech stainless steel litter pan. Which I actually really like. The litter doesn’t stick as easily as plastic, and the stainless steel doesn’t absorb odors as much as plastic either. So, even though I have to scoop everyday myself, it’s fiiiiiine for now.😬

    Do you get used to it? I have the opportunity to do the same but I’m not sure.

    • @QuesttoFIRE
      @QuesttoFIRE  23 дня назад +1

      I would say I’ve gotten used to it. Doesn’t mean that it’s easy, but it is doable. The biggest thing that helps me is having my routine down pat!
