Thanks for all of the positivity everyone! ***** But will they actually remember that?? Actually, they probably will! Even though your kid might not remember the specific details of a family trip or outing with Dad, they will carry the emotional content of those adventures through life! There are two types of memory: explicit and implicit Explicit memory is when you consciously recall something, like the name of your first school or parents birthday. Implicit memory is when you remember something without consciously thinking about it, like how to ride a bike. This also includes more of an unconscious, emotional recollection. Your 2-year-old remembering you threw rocks in the water on your camping trip? Explicit. The warm, fuzzy feelings when you talk about going camping again? Implicit. So the next time you look at your preschooler and think, “They’ll never remember this,” you’re right, they probably won’t remember things explicitly. @@whyisitsodifficultomakeahandle are you old man or young person, it’s not clear what you say. Children in my view are supposed to be ignorant and selfish. It’s their time to take up space and sprout root, to consume everything in order to bear fruit. And it’s the parents job not to criticize but impart that missing knowledge. The parents time to shine is already over, if the child doesn’t know how to love, it’s the parents job to teach it. To say a child is ignorant or selfish is simply the adult forgetting what it meant to be a child and not taking the responsibility and time to teach but simply shift blaming the limitations of said parents onto the children. I don’t know how to clean the child, therefore he is a messy child, I don’t know how to teach him skills, therefore he is useless and stupid. I know and live longer than them but didn’t spend time to elaborate on the world, therefore they are ignorant. Like c’mon man, it’s shift blame projection. It’s the parents job to make the child more knowledgeable and capable. To simply criticize them as incapable is simply lazy 0 accountability behaviour. What you expect a child to be all knowing and do all the house chores for you? Then the roles will be switched, why would they know better if it’s never taught and why would they comply when all you do is focus on your work and criticize them every time you see them. They be clandestinely signalling their fingers. Then the parents complain you have no clue how hard I work for you, you’re so ungrateful, you don’t know how the world works, there’s kids in Africa starving. Blah blah blah. That’s guilt shaming, fake martyrdom, and blaming the child for all your woes. That’s disgusting. Abuse of power, when you’re the boss and you know your employees rely on you for paycheque you can vent all your frustrations on them calling them useless and all sorts of degrading terms because you know they won’t fight back, exactly the same dynamic is played out by the parent at home. So it’s not that the child is ignorant, it is that the parent has not done their job to bond and educate. Criticism is not education, it’s blaming when you have failed to teach prior to the task given. Stubborn is a great trait I myself have it, if placed on the correct use it’s a powerful thing, the only reason why it’s bad it’s because the parents are ridged and are just as unbending. There’s a thought, I’m older I’m the parent therefore do as told. Authoritarianism leads to rebellion. Compliment the steel instead and bend it like the sword, and it will conquer the world. So children may be ignorant but parents are ample arrogant, pretentious in knowing the best. Being green and stubborn are successful traits to be had, it’s just rubs narcissists the wrong way.

My Dad passed away earlier this year and I couldn't help but see myself and my Dad in this video. I remember camping with my Dad, him teaching me how to start a fire, how to tie some knots, teaching me about constellations, how to fish. The memories I have of him are heartwarming and are invaluable. Thanks to all Dads like this that teach their little girls to be stronger than they ever thought they could be.
I hope you will persevere. Your dad sounds like an amazing man. Sometimes good people go too soon. But that's just how life works....it's unfair. I hope you can find some peace in this world. Good luck.
I feel you so much. Wouldn’t be the person I am today without my dad. I also lost my father March this year. The pain is unimaginable. I hope you and I heal and take everything our dad taught us and live the best way we can.

Awww that's so sweet 🥹🥰 My late father was a hiking and camping fanatic, and used to take the whole family to a camping trip nearly every weekend or so. @@willwcbb , I would disagree. Surely you know how big social media/media sharing sites are, I mean you're commenting on one here.... Anyway, it's just a quick way to show how presumably this dad took his lil girl on a camping trip and they had some fun, maybe a weekend and he simply edited to pull out certain clips to convey how a simple camping trip between a parent and child can be a good thing whilst adding in some humor. To me it cheapens nothing. The only thing that "cheapens" it is focusing on anything but what he tried to convey as the point....
dads that setup cameras and use there kids for content creation. Id never put my child’s face on the internet, he’s a terrible father, teaching narcissism to his daughter.
She is not just safe now but in the future as well. Many do not realise how important it is For a father to be there with their children not just financially but emotionally as well. This bond keeps children safer from any mental and emotional trauma they can go through. Or else they will always be stuck in The loop thinking the torture they are receiving is what love actually is. I hope more children get to experience this from both their parents.
this comment. These are core memories that are necessary for her physical, mental, and emotional growth. This little girl is learning SO MUCH from her father. Yeah squeezing your daughter for cash from making online videos, isn't a standard I'd lower myself to, being there to provide and care for my kids is something I'm concerned with, not catering to an audience ☺️
@@internetuser969 ngl she seemed happy, no? how is it any different to using ur money to cater to an audience, ur family, ur pets, your skills, its called content and its always gonna base around something, funny cat videos, super duper cool climbing skills, family videos, and lets not forget that he is her dad, he pays the bills and pays for his daughter's life, and he does it happily, no strings attatched, but so what if he makes a nice family video, posts it on yt and makes a little cash out of it, some people like watching these wholesome clips and when she grows up, if she is raised as well as it looks, she wont think 'ugh, how dare he record me and use me for views.' also, squeezing for cash? what the hell are you talking about, does she look at all pressured or concerned about this?
@@justascrub8383 oh it's fine using your skills, and sure if you want to just record your cat, that animal is never going to reach a point in they're life where they realised they were used for the purposes of making content to make cash, I personally put a child's right to privacy above a cat's. As for not seeming pressured we honestly have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, I doubt this was all done in one take so very easy to chuck any clips where they don't are unhappy, though maybe currently the child is ok with it, as they don't really know what the implications are of these family youtubers (sadly their best consumers are... VERY interested in children) then the idea that daddy took her out for a camping trip, not for her sake, but the sake to display it to his audience, kind of has a messed up Truman show aspect to ones childhood. Ultimately looks can be deceiving, so you just have to ask, is he doing this special camping trip purely for his daughter, or was it for a RUclips video?
@@internetuser969 ok so i will first say that no, we dont know what behind the scenes and i have no way to argue that because im not there, but i also never said it's purely for his daughter, or denied that maybe he makes a bit of cash out of it, its a bloody child of course she will be unhappy at points, maybe when discomforted, why would he add them in when it doesn't mean that she hates being there. As a first year outdoor adventure student around the coast, trips like this where they just camp can be a core memory and a reason why we do our outdoor activities, Alex Honnold, the one who free soloed El Captain, a bloody legend, he was climbing since he was 5, he didnt just think, oh, lets go climb a mountain 2,300 metres high because why not, but because it was a memory in his childhood. This may very well be some kinda content only thing for content, but it didnt seem to me like he was giving her any discomfort. We NEED kids to go outside with their families to get active rather than staying in front of a screen all day playing fortnite and screaming on a mic bc you died. Just because of that i can tell he is doing better at showing her the world than any of those parents who allow their kids to do that. You say it as if the child is being stripped and put on an illegal porn site when you say you value her privacy, that would be a differnt story altogether.

As a Rebecca myself who doesn’t have the best relationship with my dad, this was the most wholesome father daughter video I’ve ever seen. Made me tear up when he said “goodnight, becca”
❤ I'm almost 60 but still have snippets of memories from preschool age of dad pulling me on a sled all over our property during a snowstorm, visiting a trout pond teaching me to fish, and cuddling with him in his big chair reading. Little things. But yes they will remember.
coincidentally the same generation that was out all the time and now constantly complains about kids not being outside or going out enough is the same group of parents that never took their kids on any outdoor adventures nor did they let them go outside and play on their own when they wanted to😂
You're not creating lasting memories. Youre creating an incredible strong bond of trust, curiosity, safety, exploration, bravery, and so much more. She is very lucky to have a father like you. She will become a self sufficient and confident woman one day. I wish you two an amazing journey!
My bf lost his at three, and mine was emotionally absent. Kind of one of those things we fit together about. But I remember some memories with my sisters bc my parents worked ft mom was sick alot too. People don’t want to have alot of kids to care for, but speaking as a shy quiet kid having sisters two of them was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The fact that I had someone who was close to my age, who I grew up with, ate with, played games with, who we could share secrets, talk about boys,be all silly and weird to eachother ,and get into arguments and physical fights with over her touching my stuff or wearing my socks or me going into her diary because I wanted to know if she was talking about me. 😅 Have them closer in age too. My oldest was four year older then my second sis,who was almost two years older then me. We shared a room too. If you can do that if you have two boys or girls, then that’s a plus. When the kids cooperate and don’t kill eachother, they can share some good memories.

My daughter is in her early 30s, and the time I spent with her was wonderful and went by so quickly. Even though she was young like your daughter, she remembered the time we spent together. It's important for dads to be actively involved with their children.
I'm 32 and I'll always remember my dad spending time with me more than anything. I remember him coming along on school field trips (he worked construction and was laid off in the winter months) and so do all the other neighbourhood kids. Our school took all the kids ice skating multiple times a year and my dad would come and help me and other kids get their skates on and learn. Even my classmates remember him fondly. A lot of them didn't have a great relationship with their dads and so getting a father figure even for a day meant so much. Even today my dad goes out of his way to surprise me with little gifts and favours like fixing things in my apartment or even just getting me a coffee or a treat he knows I like. Good dads are just so important.
@jennaleclaire2654 I am sure you let your dad know how special he is to you. When my daughter stop and told me how she felt, I had tears in my eyes and a "song in my heart." Remember, any fool can be a father but it takes a special man to be "dad". Give him an extra hug when you see him.

Yeah squeezing your daughter for cash from making online videos, isn't a standard I'd lower myself to, being there to provide and care for my kids is something I'm concerned with, not catering to an audience ☺️
Mhm

Have them closer in age too. My oldest was four year older then my second sis,who was almost two years older then me. We shared a room too. If you can do that if you have two boys or girls, then that’s a plus. When the kids cooperate and don’t kill eachother, they can share some good memories.

What a beautiful Father-Daughter moment 😊😊
When my daughter stop and told me how she felt, I had tears in my eyes and a "song in my heart."
Remember, any fool can be a father but it takes a special man to be "dad".
Give him an extra hug when you see him.
For sure
This is by far the sweetest thing ive ever seen with a daughter and father. We need more people like this, willing to give theyre kids the memories they need to succeed. Even if you dont remember them, they are important to have along the way.
