Its pretty funny how some "student" sitars don't necessarily reflect the tonal qualities of what would normally be considered a starter instrument. Did you break this in for a while? I feel like 15 years ago it was much harder finding a good sounding sitar for the pricing relative of today.
This sitar has not really been played much or broken in. It's helpful that I have a direct relationship with the makers in India and expect them only to send me high quality instruments. Not all importers/dealers of sitars have this relationship.
Hi Will Marsh, could you maybe help me... I have a sitar hardcase.. with a rotation lock. But the guy I bought it from didn't even wanted to explain how to pick a lock code. He said to me go to youtube. But the point is that I can't find it anywhere. I have traveled with it unsafely.. and am not sure whom to ask for help. Hopefully you can help me... 😢❤
Hello, unfortunately the locks on most sitar cases are not reliable or worth using. Are you unable to open it? Usually they are set to 0000. Best of luck!
