Advertising seems so universal. It seems so important to planners within our society that we all see so much of it every day. I think I have other reasons but just based on this fact of ubiquitousness alone I suspect a double-purpose for much of advertising and I hope this is only my paranoia.

I pay for RUclips premium so I can listen to music like Kashori Amonkar and Nikail Banerjee without ads. The ads are very disruptive to the experience
