The greatest compliment for a song to be redone is stick to the bones of it, for those of us who are nostalgic of our own memories, and have the other foot in a journey you want to take us on. Quinn, instead of the usual fret calisthenics, racing trying to impress us with his speed, slowed it down mid stream , coaxed it and, with the keyboard interplay, created a beautiful rendition. At 62 years old, and hearing countless renditions of this song, this is the BEST version I have ever heard, period.
Arabie saoudite.
clapton musta been a huge influence, he does a ton of clapton, and does them so welll.Clapton is my fav all time so its like wow, this kid is soo good.IVe been following him since he was on Ellen, like 7 yrs old he was a beast haha
I do hear a lot of Betts . On Let it Rain you can throw in some Derek Trucks too . Would love to hear some Allman Bros covers from Quinn . This dude and his band got it , get it . Just awesome
Very cool version of an iconic song. If it’s done right, It can definitely give you chills. Props to these young dudes for playing real music with real feeling, the whole band shines on this one.
I saw Quinn 7 years ago in Morristown NJ at a free show…with Buddy Guy. This kid can play everyone…Clapton, SRV, Santana note for note. Now it turns out he has a great voice too. How is he not bigger? Unlimited talent.
I was sick to find out you played 30 minutes from me FOUR dates in 2023 at Fanatics in Lima NY! Please come back there! I promise I will come and bring my people!
Gratificante .....
One thing that always impresses me is when a guitarist doesn't have to look at the fretboard while soloing. Much like Clapton that way. Excellent job, the whole band!
Beautiful - bit of a Derek Trucks influence in there, so clever....his interaction with his mate on keys shows they've known each other and played together for a long time, and long may it continue. Mr Sullivan deserves to be huge...
There are covers and there are covers. There are covers better than the original. This is one of those. The vocals and guitar are better than Eric's and I am a huge Clapton fan.
Wow, this guy and his band excite the hell out of me! Heart and soul, I feel every note. Just great musicianship and I am so glad to find this tonight. Hope to see them on the road soon and I wish them great success.
Been loving Quinn since he was about 9. Of his many gifts, honoring the players before him with his styling is paramount. His feel and nuance always seem guided by the likes of Buddy, Clapton, BB, Albert and others- but the Betts twist in this solo is so beautifully woven into the fabric, it is mesmerizing.
Quinn, I have followed you for YEARS! You have a Great Clapton sound! I've been trying for years, but no comparison to what (and how) you play! Keep on rocking and I'll be watching!😁🤘🎸
Happy Birthday Quinn, you are such an Amazing and Inspirational Guitarist, I have watched you grow up, you were always Outstanding, now you are up there with the best Guitarist in the world, special late Birthday wishes March 26 1999 making him 25 now, keep on playing, your very much needed Luv🎉❤❤❤😮😮😮
This session is undoubtedly my favorite of him playing this song It was a magic. He just keeps getting better at perfecting his craft. Quinn has been playing this song for years. It would be something to see him teamed up with Derrick Trucks doing this song Quinn definitely honors Eric Claypon's signature melodic chords and runs Clapton style along with Duane Allman's / Derrick trucks beautiful lead runs. Did anyone notice the finger picking by Quinn and that he hardly if ever looks at the neck of his guitar while playing? Damn!👍
Beautifully said and yes I see Derek’s finger picking and certainly his improvisational skills as well… this is the first time I’ve seen this video,,, soo damn good 🎼🔥
Quinn S you are amazing I have seen and heard this song played over a thousand times Eric playing, probably one of my fav versions at the Ffilmore east tapes 1970 late show and Eric playing with D Trucks is magic, its great with the Allman brothers and with Santana. But this up there with the very best of them, you have nailed the slowed down bit from 6.30, personally my favorite bit of the song. Don't stop playing and don't ever stop playing this song. I had the good fortune to hang out with Eric and the women this was written about Patti in the 70's
Yes agree!!! bc not man can id say, not cover it like that.He deserves to cover that anytime haha. That just blew me away..Clapton is my favorite all time so that touched my heart a bit there i must admit i did almost tear up lol.Beatiful song

Clapton should invite Quinn to the next Crossroads festival
Quinn has played at a Crossroads festival in the past thanks to Buddy Guy. Clapton was impressed.

I hear the influences in his playing, including Carlos Santana among others. The young man has studied the greats of the 70’s for sure!!!
They used to say when Clapton first brought this out that it had a Santana feel to it. But this young fella absolutely kills it.
well, Quinn's prove there's shortcut to the stars with that age.... sureal talent. thank you Buddy Guy for giving that kid a stage....
Love Quinn. I'm one of those who's also been following him forever. Uniquely musical feel in his solos. Better singer than Clapton, too, i reckon!
Fantastic! Just amazing! Been watching you since you were 7 yrs old with Buddy Guy!!!!
