The cartridge filter installation is not clear in the brochure.its a simple mechanism made complex ..
These new filters are rubbish. Very difficult to fit. The old design turns and makes a satisfying click when it's in place. The new one required so much force I cracked the inner compartment and it still isn't properly secure. I don't care that it fits the Brita jugs too.
Mine does not turn fully, wish I'd stuck with my Brita water filter
Neither did mine, fiddled for ages to try to get it to fit. It does work though even though it's wonky.
Could not get Optima cartridge to work in a Maxtra + jug. No water running through.

I got in touch with Optima in the Isle of Man and they sent me a small adaptor to fit in the Maxtra jug. It now works fine. They said that all their cartridges now come with that adaptor.
Since when is that clockwise????

I put this in my brita kettle. There’s water that doesn’t drain through just sits in the plastic holder. Anyone know about this?

And what about the other way? I want to use Brita Maxtra filters instead of your own with my Optima water dispenser
What are the "wings" for? They got in the way. You shouldn't have the need to look it up on RUclips! Pretty bad.
Do you have to soak the filter before fitting?
no but after fitting you need to fill with water 2 times before using
I agree filters are very difficult to fit, do not buy one

Too late! Keep thinking I have fitted the filter incorrectly as I can still detect chlorine.
It fits once you "loosen" the plastic with several tries. But still very inconvenient
Terrible filters, do not fit, and the water only trickles through, do not buy!!!
