It's the glitches version that's from the opening area that's obtained through a glitch that's only avaliable in previous patches but will endure through updates
MsgNotFound is not the master sword. It's a clone of the indestructible one you get at the beginning of the game
@tonyravioli08you can.. you just need to be on an older version. Never update games early on like this unless theres gamebreaking bugs. It leaves room for all kinds of glitch discoveries.

@@lyxee5294 The normal master sword breaks. The MNF (MsgNotFound) does not. It's indestructible. Look it up online if you want it.
You can also dupe materials like this! Just attach a material to a weapon you are gonna dupe, and then once you’ve duped it just go to Tarey town and separate the weapon/item.

There are 2 guaranteed stals in the gisa craters With a way closer shrine.
You have to kill one of them with a dazzle fruit to always have one stal to dupe weapons with

Also there are a BUNCH on Satori mountain (I think it was called), so if you accidentally kill any, there are more you can use
do dazzle's instantly kill them? and here i was backflipping off cliffs to get bullet time headshots on all the Stal enemies

@@XENSION3528it uses mineru, it’s got a lot of steps but is completely guaranteed to work if you do them right. No timing necessary

Since my save is now on 1.2.1 I can't play even on a fresh switch on 1.0
@@TrainerLeosPokemonyou can turn off the auto update in settings. I turned of mine after it unknowingly updated to 1.1.2 and never updated ever since lol😂.
This is easier to do in akkala house of bones (under skull lake) because stals are guaranteed to spawn there and they won’t despawn during the day

The glitch in botw started with menu overload, but the steps of the glitch in botw are the same as here after the warp step
@kenan-nynor No, well yes, but what they mean is there is literally a glitch exactly like this in BotW, down to the Stal enemies and picking up their arms with the right timing.

For people to know if you choose to dupe a fused weqpon the inventory icon will show that fuse item attached to the stal arm

OH FINALLY. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. alright so, i was in the Majoras Mask Arena fighting Lynals. I threw a badly damaged Boomerang at the Lynal and as it came back i picked it up from the air but it also broke on the ground. The wepon was like a ghost wepon? It said i was holding it but it didnt show i was holding anything. This was 1.2.1

Switch settings. Hover over game tile in Switch home screen and press +. Deactivate auto update. That, or just turn off wifi in Switch settings. That's what I did.

This is Awesome! It made it so i had a silver lynel horn on the arm but after i dropped it it returned to my dupe weapon
Basically we had to find a way to inventory desync without menu overload. That’s actually really promising because if we can find a way to get menu overload again we can easily dupe weapons, bows, shields, and durability transfer. It may reopen IST/WMC in TotK.
Getting the timing right is pretty hard. Then the morning comes and you have to start all over again.
This is so nostalgic, it was actually one of botw’s early dupe glitch as well! Since no one said it before me, I’m the OG 😂

I can imagine how someone accidentally stumbled across this and then had to remember step-by-step what they did to activate it. They probably didn’t want the stal arm and dropped a different weapon by accident, they picked it back up and then dropped the stal arm and TADA!
Most likely, speaking from own experience as a hobby glitch hunter, I and the others who find these glitches have a programming background. We can pretty reliable make assumptions about how stuff might be implemented and how to abuse this if the devs didn't think about certain scenarios. In this case (I don't exactly know how this glitch works, but my assumption is probably not far off) Link picks up the arm, which adds a so called pointer (a pointer in programming is telling your game where certain information is stored) to a weapon to links inventory. There however isn't only one pointer possible at a time. Links inventory can have a pointer to the weapon and the enemy can aswell. Both can read and write information to it. Most likely, after the animation finishes, the bone weapon gets updated so it isn't considered a weapon anymore, otherwise it could break when used by the opponent and stuff. Links inventory still has a pointer to that weapon though, but because most of the info got removed (like the weapon has a lot of values being overwritten which qualifies it as a "weapon") This item does not know what to render in links hand, what durability it has and so on. Now when link teleports away and drops a different weapon, this dropped weapon will overwrite the invalid bone weapon with the new one, which as a result, duplicates it.

I gotta do this before Nintendo comes in guns blazing to patch it. I wish that people would release these glitches when the game is like done being nintendos favorite/ updated. That way we could just have fun with glitches that don’t necessarily break the game ??

A side effect is that the stall arm has the fused item on the duplicated item but this doesn’t matter because you use it to duplicate.
ive never told anybody but i discovered that when you throw duplicate you can use rewind and bring it bac if you do this you can throw dupe exploding items

FINALLY THE MOMENT WE WAITED FOR
Something interesting happened when I tried this. I dropped a fused weapon to dupe but it instead fused the Boko Arm with the same material and applied the other weapon’s modifier. So instead of duping my Eightfold Blade I got a Boko Arm with a Silver Lynel Horn and Attack Up +6.

I don't know if this glitch still works but. You go near a wall (facing the wall or a big tree then save), and hold the weapon you're going to dupe then hold "R" and realease "R" then very quickly press inventory button ( + ) and go load the file you saved and you should have a duped weapon on the ground. This works on two handed weapons too like spears but it's a but hard to get the timing on claymores and other two handed swordsm

So important question: while this on its own works fine for duplicating shields and bows via fusion, is it possible to perform this glitch with any mob trying to pick up a bow, shield, or weapon? In other words, if you knock a bokoblins shield/bow out of its hand, or find one that’s sleeping with it on the ground and wake him up, pick up the shield/bow at just the right moment, then drop and equip the respective item like the rest of the glitch, will that successfully dupe the shield and or bow? Because if it were possible, that would prevent the loss of any stats on the fused item as well as duping them without the added grind of roktorok farming and traveling to tarrey town to undo the fuse, right?

I got the Hylian shield in the docks of Hyrule Castle and went to the Eldin region to find one rock octorok and I got 98 on my Hylian Shield
Somehow, i tried this, but it fused what was fused to the weapon and replaced the weapon with the boko arm. (I had a royal guard's claymore + molduga jaw, and after dropping and picking up the weapon, i had a molduga jaw on a boko arm)
I wish the master sword skip still worked but unfortunately it doesn't anymore.
Now if only we can get the msg master sword. I got my item duplication back and now weapon duplication glitch.

If you dupe master swords, does it operate like the real master sword? Also does it give you a forced additional inventory slot?

Bruh i uuuu I did it wrong and the bone combined with the material of the sword and it has a horn now XD
The only reason I uodated to the latest versions was because I expected DLC to come, and that id have to uodate anyways. But it was already too late when they revealed they had no plans to make any DLC. So now I have to rely on this

Is there one for bows yet? I have some lynel bows with x5 shot (i duped them while i could and accidentally updated the game) but id like to dupe them with the enhancement.

wait I'm confused (I don't ever use bugs/glitches so I'm not up to date on any of it) I saw this video on my home page and assumed it's very new cuz 1.2.1 is the current version, but this video is 6 months old so, what, Nintendo just never patched this duping glitch?
Also the other thing that confused me about the actual process shown to perform the glitch, which wasn't explained or even acknowledged in the video, is the fact that he had a weird Master Sword which raises so many questions
1 How/why wasn't in the top left-most weapon slot? Normally the Master Sword is _permanently_ in the top left slot
2 How/why does it show the actual base damage of 30? Usually it's invisible for the Master Sword
3 How is he even able to drop the Master Sword?
4 Why is it called "MsgNotFound" when he dropped it on the floor?
1.2.1 is the last version of totk, so yeah this is an old video but they're done updating the game so it's not going to get patched. The master sword is a glitched master sword that was only obtainable in early versions of totk
And now, when Nintendo finds this video, they’re going to get rid of that glitch because Nintendo hates fun
