Sounds like the tyres were rubbing on the shell at times. My Granite makes the same sound when the tyres balloon along with hard cornering. But the difference in grip was impressive with those Prolines 👌
I'm definitely getting a set for my Rival MT10, stock tyres are crap. I have a set of Proline Badlands on my Outlaw and they're epic so its a no brainer.
@@TheRCScotsman thanks a lot Mike, those are 1 of 2 Proline options i was looking at. Just want to be mindful of their size as to not over gear it if they are bigger than stock tyres. Nice one mate 👌
Hey there. Are you sure you're not just hearing the body rub? Not saying you're wrong, but I never picked that up. They are a lot heavier. I don't have the numbers, but they feel at least 50% - 75% heavier.
if u could not whellie on the vortex 3s there is a problem with your driving i got a vortex with the senton 3s system in it and i cant run it on 100% becus it wont stay grounded and it will whilly easy on the 75 % setting so it had to be you 100% not giving it any power
Agreed, on pavement at least. On the street my stock vorteks will live on the back tires if I’m not easy on the throttle. In grass or dirt, I agree that it lacks some traction
Bought the same truck. For those that don't catch it in the video. These tires are Pro-line trenchers in 2.8 size. Pee-glued about $80us
Good Lord that's beautiful territory!
Isn't it just!
The kraton 4s wheels in this would look sick would need 17mm hex mod
Yep, bigger wheels always look great.
I can seen to find which specific tires you are using, that I would also like to try, please share what exactly you used , thanks
excellent 😀
Indeed!
Cool truck
Thank you!

They were. I'll source some hex extenders when I get back home. Agreed, the Pro-lines are amazing!
Such a nice spot to bash 😎 hopefully now you like it more you can practice jumping.
It is! Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. At this moment, the Vorteks means nothing to me. I definitely want that to change.
What’s the name of of those tires because I’m definitely thinking about putting on my car
Pro-Line Trenchers.

You won't regret it!
@@TheRCScotsman Mike, what size tyres did you go for in the end if you don't mind me asking? Cheers

@@RuisRcAdventures They are much bigger, but with 3 teeth down on the pinion, my electronics barely got warm.
No worries!
How many teeth did you go down in the end? Never seen you with a temp gun in videos but the blx motors can get quite warm
I feel someone needs to read the video description!
Or this comment. 3. It was 3 teeth.
Does the size difference make the motor overheat faster?
It will, but I geared the truck down. If you go up wheel size, you have to go down pinion size.
Did you keep in the stock pinion?
@@TheRfts2011 Yes, I kept it in the box.
Sounds like the slipper clutch slips now and then. Probably due to the heavier tires. How much heavier are they compared to the stocks?

do the tires rub on the body at all?
They did. Axle extenders solved that.
Looks good , i have just bought the vorteks How much did you pay for 4 wheels and tyres?
Unfortunately, it's rather expensive. Once you get the set of four, plus the hex adapters, you're probably around £80.
@@TheRCScotsman thats not to bad i was looking on ebay and they were 40 per wheel
Diameter of the tires is the big difference, NOT actual traction! Throttle control will give the same results.
I enjoy the stock tires on asphalt and sidewalk where they do pretty good but definitely going to upgrade too badlands 👍😊
Truck is way faster on stock wheels.
