There is always that guy. He is this generation's version of Reggie Jackson. I don't even think Reggie got as consistently hot as Bryce in the playoffs though
I'm a loyal Nats fan to the end and was sorry to see him go, but I never understood our fans' anger at Bryce. He played his heart out every night and was great to the fans while he was here and a true credit to the organization. He plays the game the right way and is a class act. Glad to see him doing well in Philly. And damn I miss his clutch.
I think Bryce is gonna end his career as the greatest Phillie ever. Maybe not by stats, but what I mean and they cut it out in this video but the man grabs his shirt and starts kissing the Phillies logo before going back into the dugout there at the very end after getting 300. He listens to WIP on his way to the ballpark, (local sports radio for anyone outside Philly) im really not sure what we did to deserve Bryce, but this man is already a Philly legend and he’s got some years left still.
Thank you so much for using Charlie Slowes' call for the homer at 2:51. Harper's been a Phillie for a while now and is gonna go into the Hall of Fame with a P on his cap, but still can't believe Nats ownership didn't make him a National for life Edit: lol for including that meaningless homer off Strickland which came in a 5 game sweep of the Phillies at the end of September in 2019 that eliminated them from the playoffs that year, but not including his 100th or 200th career homers, any of his walk-off homers as a National, or his homers in the 2012 and 2014 playoffs and 2022 World Series
wasnt a random homerun, strickland and harper had beef from a while back. Pretty one-sided as Harper took him deep a bit, and they got into it a few times back when harper was on the nats vs strickland on the dynastic San Francisco Giants of the early 2010's.
Winning the HR Derby AGAINST Kyle Schwarber, to become his teammate and sit in the Lineup crushin Home Runs right before or after him is the BEST kind of poetic irony.
Watch the full inning highlight of that walk-off grand slam against the Cubs. There’s a shot of Schwarber leaving the Cub’s dugout while the Bank is going wild. I think Schwarber’s gotta love being on the better end of these home runs.
Everything that led to now is honestly insane. Harper may not be human. Thinking back to May of last year, knowing he'd need surgery, there were so many questions and worry. On November 23rd he would start a journey to recovery like no other, just 160 days later he would start against the Dodgers. The thought of him doing this already is mind blowing. 🤟
He's had a great Phillies career and one of my favorite things about him is he works on his game. He wants to be great. Since joining the Phillies he's become a better hitter which is great to see. No more 250 average.
@@kristopherwilson506lol. He's very consistent. He had that crazy 40 plus home run seadon but usually his around 25-30 a year. He should get 2 500 buy bot until he's about 37ish

Bonds was natural for a long time before he started using. And was better than Harper. 3 MVPs by 28. Then 4 in a row on roids. Bonds is top 10 hitter. Bryce is top 20? We'll.see how it shakes out. Bonds and Mantle are the two greatest hitters in my lifetime.
My god do I love this man to death. May go down as the most beloved Philly athlete to ever play in this city. Not only for what he's accomplished career wise, but how he's embraced this city and it's fans is like nothing I've ever seen in my lifetime. Contract was worth it and then some. Now let's go get that ring, MV3.
He's 30 and has 300 career home runs. Also he doesn't hit like 50 in a year. He's consistent with about 30 a year. He will hit 500 in about 7 years . Good 4 him.
I'm not impressed, given the hype and head on this guy. In 11 full seasons: -has only 2 years with 100 or more RBIs -has 5 years with less than 75 RBIs -only 2 seasons with 150+ hits -4 seasons with 30 or more HR's -4 seasons with 20 or fewer HR's
" The state of Pennsylvania has just about had it with this guy"... oh if we only knew the bond that would be forged between the fans of Philadelphia and Bryce Harper ❤
I dont think people even appreciate him as much as they should. His impact on attracting more people to the game during what is considered the largest decline in popularity of the sport during the 2010s. Trout was definitely the best player of the 2010s yet harper is who most non baseball fans would think of when asked who is the best baseball player in the world during that time. That was largely the case until Ohtani entered the league. He just had so much impact for the sport off the field
