yes...we as parents feel that void from one of our sons..We know he loves us unconditionally but no natural communication, and he is so aloof, he has created a transperant wall among us that I can not even talk to him the way I would like to talk to my child! WE have no idea what has made him so dry in dealing with us. His quiet behaviour kill me from inside, but don't know how to get that fixed. Well, accepting the fact as my fate, and /or the result of my past karma! Blessing to him just as to all my other family members.
@@meerabakshi2676 my case is totally different. My daughter and her family has blocked me for the last eight plus years. No communication at all. She has married a wrong person. Got into a wrong family. Hers is an arranged marriage. But we could nit fathom their greed for our money and property at the time of finalising the alliance. There is absolutely no contact. No communication. I am a widow. So all alone.

Generation gap is vividly depicted here. It is a universal phenomenon that parents, although strict at some times, always think for the safe future of their children. However, children never understand this until they become parents. A good storyline with equally good performance and direction. Well-made outcome with a great lesson to learn, if they try to learn, for younger generation.
But,kabhi kabhi bhala chahne ke chakkar me bachchhe ke masoom mann par bhi khrab asar hota h...koi doubt nhi h ki parents pyar krte h apne bacho se but,hmesa hi strict rehna onko onke bacho se dur kr hi deta h...isliy sometimes onko bacho ka point of view simjkar apas me connect krne ki kosis krni chahiye taki itna gap na aye bich me ki bache ko parents se connection feel hona hi bnd ho jaye...bacho ko parents ko blame nhi krna chahiy or parents bhi bacho ko thoda sensitively deal krna chahiy...ek bar mann me jo scars lgte h vo zindagi bhar os bache ko impact krte..as we have seen in this film. @@sumedhabhardwaj2474 Thanks for your valuable feedback. I completely endorse your views. However, one thing must be kept in mind that generation gap is a universal phenomenon. It was there, I had to go thru it, and it will remain in the future as well. But now when I look back and elders have left me, I think and respect their views & think how correct they were. No parent wants negative for their children, and in India, this thing is more common due to genetic characteristics and upbringing. The best solution is the MIDDLE PATH. Parents must be flexible and respect child's point of view, and the same must be done by children as well. Mutual respect and love is the only solution with open-minded talks. Parents have to change with changing atmosphere, and give liberty to child to take decisions, but keeping a hawk's eye on their activities. Thanks & regards.

A touching, yet an intensely communicating film. The communication gap between a father and his son displayed here is something many of us have seen and felt, first as a son and then as a father; it is perhaps universal and perennial. The film is without frills and glamour and carried largely over the shoulders of the two main actors, one of them being the film maker Mudit Nayar himself. The sensitive message is ably and beautifully conveyed.
My only daughter disowned me 11 years ago! Most probably, repeat most probably things fed to her by my ex wife! Now she is 26 years old and now I have given up all hope of any reconciliation except the Lord God almighty intervenes. I don't desire to have a long life, only that truth could have helped her live a freer life rather than a hateful false belief.
Forgiveness is a prayer 🙏
A beautiful heart touching story. Leaves an impact on your mind. This is a genuine problem of each family a communication gap between children and parents specially between father and son.lt breaks your heart to see the unending differences persisting even after his death
