The worrying thing is that some (most) think that you can be anonymous on the internet ..... as you have said many times, if three letter agencies and/or a government wants to identify you - they can and will
The worrying thing is people don't care. "I don't do anything wrong, why would I care?" The Canadian government has been tracking 33 million cellphones for over 2 years, which is everyone in Canada with a phone. They had to admit it when they applied to track them for 5 more years. They are forcing everyone to add a government app that tracks you and your vax status if you want to return to the country anytime you travel. It includes where, when, travel dates, flights and where and when you will be when you return home. If you are unvaxxed you have to have a quarantine plan submitted for 14 days with multiple tests to be done during that time. The app will allow them to track you and drive by to make sure you comply. We had countrywide cellphone loss a few weeks ago on every network. One company running the entire system who needs permission from the government to operate? They wouldn't.... Nah....
@@deckmonkey1459 What can I say, but: Yeah Also what is interesting is that these people that follow QAnon seriously believe that this person is totally anonymous and that governments also don’t know who he (it) is, therefore believing the information he puts out
Why can't I see the 2 comments on here? I'm willing to bet something said would have been highly beneficial for me. BTW, not saying it's you. Just commenting on how if they want to find us they will but also if they want to prevent us from gathering better insight to learn and grow to stop things that most don't even know or realize.
So what you are saying is that there is no point trying to maintain privacy on the Internet because the three letter agencies can always track you if they want to? So you don't think there's any value in hiding your data from Google, Apple and Facebook, which are the three privacy threats that Rob mainly focuses on ? Amazon and Microsoft should also be considered as threats. Why bother doing anything in your world? Just sit back, watch videos and achieve nothing?
If they can find the exact person in North Korea who has hacked specific machines, then the 3 letters can find anyone at any point. It's only a question of whether the effort is worth it for them.
some companies like ups locks your account if you are using a VPN ip. is there a way to have a browser use my raw ip while putting everything else through my router's VPN client?
Well, you could make a vpn connection to your home network in which you have a dns ad blocker installed. While connected to this vpn you could have an almost ad-less experience on your phone.
Corporate uses it because Google is cheap. Bean counters always go for sweet deals and have to foresight they are being lead by carrot in a political-ish direction.
I've been interested, and curious, about your degoogled phone ever since I first saw you Rob. The problem is that I'm fairly old, not very tech savvy, and most of what you say is beyond my understanding. Plus, I'm alone in life, unfortunately. Who would help me ? Could you ?
Hey Rob! Or anyone who knows... I turn off my nearby share and each time i turn my phone on it's on. It does turn off by itself but it's causing me a huge concern due to odd files that keep getting downloaded without my permission. For example mobile HTML controller .... Or audio notifications. I even had a recording of myself yawning and i have no idea how to record myself in an audio file... Help Anyone have more info on this?
@@robbraxmantech Okay, thanks. I've been listening to your videos throughout evening, excellent job, love your content, boldness and recommendations! You have gained a new subscriber! Would love to see some more detailed videos for newbies (non tech) or layman type if possible 😆 on how to set up your VPN, also sim card and phone company recommendation for your brax phone.
Question... I think my phone has been hacked. An image of a map with the city "Shiraz" appeared in my downloads minutes after I asked my friend to pick up wine from the store. Sound right?
An enormous amount of information. It would help people to understand if you could create some diagrams and bullet points. I guess you have a monopoly on knowledge so you don't have to
Nordvpn doest really give an obsfucated ip. Anyone know someone that does? I'm talking about using a VPN that isn't seen as a vpn without setting up your own vpn server
As always Rob's information is spot on!
Being on the intrnet is a privacy threat in itself.
Since you streamed live a few days ago EVERY video you post is in the top 10 of my feed.
I'm fighting back with a series of videos that have all been at the top and I'm slowly convincing the algorithm that they should appreciate me. LOL
Great work 🥳🥳🥳 Thank you 💜💜💜
Great summary Mr. B

That's why I run a PFsense box which runs everything via a VPN. Nothing leaks, when the VPN is down, everything is down.
Lol vpn can only tunnel your ip address it don't hide your ip address from the source.
@@debsattam1 I obviously know that. Just "lolling" and offering irrelevant information, I know how it works... go waste someone else's time.
Forget it!
A VPN is not “security”!
They can ID you in many other ways (web cookies, OS finger printing, proxies and MIM techniques etc).
Yes if the end party isn't trustworthy and legitimate
a degoogled phone is good to have but i am using a mainline Linux phone with waydroid with microg for rare use of some android apps

Does using a VPN on mobile data consume more bandwidth (due to additional IPSec or other VPN headers in each packet, thereby lowering the actual MTU)?
Yes, I used to use VPN on phone and notice a big consumption on bandwidth.
Yes

I wonder if using a lesser known VPN would help with The work Wi-Fi blocking the usage of most VPN
Have you all stopped your Windows 10 / 11 DNS leak? It can bypass a VPNs privacy.
I am surprised how many corporates use Google DNS servers.
Corporate uses it because Google is cheap. Bean counters always go for sweet deals and have to foresight they are being lead by carrot in a political-ish direction.
Hope your feeling better.

Hi, my windows 10 laptop showing"windows is activated using your organization's activation service" I'm worried what to do?
what about blockchain ? can blockchain technology hide our ip address in information exchange ?
Icloud wants to charge
I have anotber question, when was it ever a security threat
Any suggestions on a sturdier Brax2 phone case, I farm and need a very sturdy case
some people have modified a Samsung A?? case. You'll need to cut out some holes. See Brax.Me FAQ

Thankyou from Alaska, Can you give me an Estimate of How Much your VPN would Cost me for having on my Cell iphone 8+ ....??? per month??

Is there a way to find out who has collected your ip address?
Theoretically every thing you're in contact with on the Internet
On firefox there is a plugins called ghostery will show you every tracker worms in precise details and block it
Should I use a VPN when I am using a public WiFi network....like at Starbucks or at university?
R u still doing live tonight? Add add or create profile said I had to wait 48hrs to join the conversation
Do you have a video on using wifi vs data only on phones? Also can you use any computer with data only?
Yes. Look at the Phone Playlist

i can buy as many sim cards and 4g hotspots as I want. no id necessary. good luck finding me.

use the utopia ecosystem. This protects your ip address.
Nordvpn doest really give an obsfucated ip. Anyone know someone that does? I'm talking about using a VPN that isn't seen as a vpn without setting up your own vpn server
Use a less visible VPN like BytzVPN (mine). Because it is not overcrowded with people, the IP addresses aren't tracked as a VPN
