Planning to switch from my Q90 to this V90 as my main GBA driver since the Q90 is so small it cramps up my hand. This clamshell design looks much more comfortable for longer play sessions. I'm loving these little handhelds tho, I've been putting so many hours into these. As long as you know what to expect for your money, they're absolutely great.
Excellent review. I'm expecting the yellow one any day now,and from seeing this review,I feel like I haven't wasted my money. I think I should have ordered the red/ orange one instead, but I guess I'll get over it.
I did the Pocket Go firmware update etching and partitioning on a 16 GB SD. Then liked it so much I put it on the original SD and filled it with Playstation games with the options set to frame skip 2. I have been playing Legend of the River King 2 with rumble enabled from changing the header for gameboy color. The Earthquake in the beginning will let you know if you did it right. I used Gameboy Rom Analyzer and changed the cartridge type to 1Eh. I also did an English patch on Nushi Tsuri Adventure-Kite no Bouken Gameboy Color. I may have Inside Gadgets in Australia make me a real cartridge with rumble and the two games on it.
So i just recieved my Powkiddy V90 Gba sp clone. I turned it on and to my suprise it running the same firmware (nx hope) as the Bitboy og .So i did some emulation testing and found out some very interesting results. I Used my Firmware from 3.5 New Comic-book theme ,and i was amazed that this little Powkiddy V90 played Snatcher Sega cd,Road rash and Pce cd i was blown away..Just thought i would share.Let me know if you want more testing?
Hi Mike, that is awesome, and thanks for sharing with the community, I'm going to need to look into that one for sure. Did you run into any glitches or lag in any of the systems within it?
Every unit is shipped with a transparent screen protector applied. It looks better if you remove it. Use a razor blade and carfully put it in between the frame and the screen to remove the screen protector.
@@SWPLGAMING Haha I think it's just a generic Gameboy advance SP one, but it's a nice bonus! Although you now have to pay tax on anything from AliExpress 😟
I have my laptop connect to my monitor, and I can have 2 different wallpapers running together on separate screens👍🏾 it's called wallpaper engine, you can get it on steam
Can we store gba rom from PC to the SD card and play??and are there Zelda games in there??? Thinking of buying one..so a reply would be really helpful!!!
Hi Limerick Lad, I have a PS1 Emulation test video show some games,I also so some of the games in the unboxing video. There are so many games on this unit so a list is not an easy thing.👍🏾
github.com/TriForceX/MiyooCFW/wiki/Custom-Firmware-Setup Click English Guide and set up a new microsd card with the updated firmware. You can move the roms you like from the old sd card they give you or put your own on it if you desire.
In regards to build quality, I can say that it does not compete in comparison to the high priced devices. But on the lower end of the scale, I think its ok. Have no idea on battery life as I only unboxed it to day. I may to a review on this talking about that at a later date.
TBF the thing really isn't designed for 3D consoles and neither is the chip they used in it. They just stuck the PS1 emulator on there purely because they could and because it gives the option for some lower-end 2D games
DO you think this would be a good device for GBA and SNES games I want it so I can play GBA games on the go because I can't buy them from the nintendo eshop virtual console on my 3ds. and to save money on virtual console games. Also do you know the FPS on CTR-crash team racing and crash bandicoot for the ps1. BTW I can't tell the difference between 60 and 20 FPS LOL. THX Julian.
Thanks Julian, I can tell you from my experiences it plays gba very well. Snes plays fine too. I can't remember the fps as I don't have the device with me currently so really sorry about that. I would advise doing more research on it just to see what other opinions and experiences can tell you. But if in honest it's not bad at all for a cheap budget device👍🏾
Hey man love the content! 😀, i’ve been looking into this as a gba alternative so I don’t have to carry cartridges everywhere . Could you copy and paste all the gba games on the product i’ve been looking everywhere for this information even contacted the seller but no luck so far! 😅
Hi Kind MrBurger, there's a good answer for that, there simply is just too many games to list😂😂there really is that many. I would like to but the reason I can't is because I want to be as factually accurate as I can, and something tells me that maybe not all the units get the same games as I have seen this in other devices before. I'm really sorry about that, but for what it's worth it has up to or more than 100 games from A-Z so there is a strong chance the game you want is there. Thanks for supporting by watching👍🏾

I will need to take a closer look, Many thanks
Do the buttons have a rubber membrane, or dome tactile switches?
They feel like a rubber membrane to me. I may do a tear down on this one
I bought yellow one a week ago today AliExpress I got red one I’ll do review on it. I got a backup unit.
Looks like a pretty good device for the money, good for the kids!
It's not bad for the price for sure 👍🏾
I'm late to the game here with a question.. can U upload your own roms via the SD card?
Yes you can. If I'm correct,i think Wicked Gamer and Collector has a video on how to add roms👍🏾
Have you used the media player?
I have not tested that feature as yet 👍🏾
Actually saw your review on AliExpress before I saw this video 😅 same seller now offers a free case with it!
🤣🤣 Really, I didn't know I did that lol. I want a free case 😢🤣

Hi Pixel Prime. I don't have the Ngp handheld emulator, but it does have the NEOGEO. I think an emulator is being worked on.

A fair point, and still worth a play 👍🏾
