    12% x 80= 960% = 9.6
    51% x 70 = 3570% = 35.7
    98% x 680 = 66640 = 666.4
    21% x 60= 1260% = 12.6

      I had all volume settings at maximum on my computer, but my hearing is also poor in my right ear. I could just about hear it with the left headphone pushed hard against my ear. The solution is not necessarily to speak louder, but to increase the volume in the editing program. Always run a video first before posting to YT, so any such shortcomings can be corrected. An ad played at the end of this video and was so loud it almost burst my eardrum. That is one of the problems caused by posting a video with the sound level too low.

      300
      * .87
      -------------

    You can just do 80 ÷ 100 to work out 1% and then × it by how much percentage there is. E.G 0.8 × 12 = 9.6

    Hi Mr TechMath if using mental calculations must apply the simplest methods for 21% of 60=12.6 just simply 21/100X60=12.6 Ans.

    couldn't you just do 12% X 80 = 960 then move the decimal place so it becomes 9.6???

    • @ZombieKillerThe
      @ZombieKillerThe 5 лет назад +1

      Yes you can do it that way
      PS. 12% X 80 =/= 960, 12 X 80 =960, if you put 12% X 80 = 960/100. 12% = 12/100.
      It bug me seeing 12% X 80 = 960

    OR; "56% of 440" [1% is 4.40] [4.40 x 56% = 246.4]
    (42%) [42% x 0.42 = 18.9]
    etc...(1% of the givin # times the % amount )

    I just have to say, you explain this all in a really coherent and helpful way, for the last few weeks I've been utterly terrified about even beginning to tackle the numerical reasoning section of my UKCAT exam, but this is really informative and helpful, it's sort of helped deconstruct the mental barrier of "shit I can't do this at all" to "oh shit, I actually can do this!" thanks a lot man, I owe you one.
