Neverwhere is one of my all time favorite books. I have an old mass market copy and it looks way better. I love the copy you got from the UK. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading! 😊❤📚
OMGGGG I got so excited when you unboxed the First Law!! 🖤🖤🖤 I loved this series!! I got these same covers because I didn’t like the new ones either lol
Had no idea about the AI covers! :o Thanks so much for the heads up and I feel the same about YA. As I get older, some of it gets harder and harder to get through.
Yeah i saw comments on Bloomsbury IG posts about it or else i wouldnt have realize either! Some YA is good, but usually when it's closer to 'new adult'. most of the time, it feels too surface level for me. But then sometimes adult is just sooooo smut heavy and I don't necessarily love that either. It's a rough balance for me 😅😅
I hope we both love Tastes Like Candy because I got it on KU and I will 100% buy it for the cover if I enjoy it enough. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Maeve Fly, it's been on my TBR I have an ugly paperback copy of Neverwhere too, and haven't read it yet either. Your new one is so much better! 🖤
We'll have to try to read it at the same time for a buddy read!! Ugh I'm SO pumped to get into maeve fly. I feel like I need to calm down about it though, I'm hyping it up in my head already 😂😂
I also recently bought our share of the night and will probably ignore it for awhile because it is intimidating. I thought cotton candy massacre would be smaller too. Not sure if I can wait until Kelsi's sept readathon for it, or if I need to read it in summer. I was lucky enough to get the fairyloot preorder of fourthwing that will ship in Sept. I'm curious what everyone is freaking out about. Great haul! We have a lot of the same books on our shelves
Sooo intimidating 😳 Idk why i just always expect slashers to be quick reads unless it has a lot more going on. The setting does feel appropriate for summer. You are lucky! So glad you got a pretty edition. I recently finished it so it'll be featured in my July wrap up 💖 Thank you!! 🤗 I've been watching your vids and we definitely have a lot of overlapping reads 🖤🖤
1:20 omg this is MEEEEE!!!! 😅 all I need is like two of my buzzwords and I'll read it haha!!! SO many amazing books in this haul and a lot I have not read yet either but are on my tbr so I can't wait to get your thoughts on them!!!
I love the Girl in 6E trilogy, it's been years but I really enjoyed it way back when. Ugh, Jaws, the movie is a face, wish the book had more of the shark and less of everything else. 😂
I didnt even realize it was a trilogy 😳 im so intrigued by it. I'm definitely going to try to get to it by the end of the year. I'm picking up what your putting down for Jaws lol. Since it's a classic, I still feel the need to at least attempt to read it 😂
Horror is an all year round type of vibe for me 😂💖 slashers in particular, feel very summer to me, I've been having a really fun time with them! The Fall tbrs are about to be POPPIN 👻🎃🖤
@@WickedScorpio Slashers do have more of a summer vibe..a lot of them seem to take place at summer camp, or a carnival, or somewhere else summery lol I think I might need to get out of my fantasy/romance bubble a little early and pick up a few 😋
Those S Maas books are not YA, more like people in 20s, i would suggest, if you have not read The court of Thorns and Roses series, read that first, then the other two. I loved them all, its pure escapism. Happy Reading
That's what I thought but so happy to get the confirmation. I read acotar last year, acomaf is still unbeat for me with fantasy romance 😍 im in the middle of TOG and its just not hitting the same, but hoping that series will get me excited to read again!
@@WickedScorpio Thats so funny cause TOG is my all time favorite, i love it so much. The journey that you go on, with all the characters and creatures is amazing. Ive never ever read witches like the ones in this story. I hope you continue on, its so so good. Happy Reading
@@WickedScorpio I had typed up my comment and submitted and then unpaused just to find you said the same. I'll be honest I didn't read it. I wanted to at one point but been on my shelves for awhile and no longer interested. I did read The Graveyard Book and that one was okay.
She really is 😂😂 I looove when social commentary is mixed with horror! Ooo I hope we both love We Sold our Souls!! I'm thinking I'll get to it in September
Yess let's do it!! I'm thinking I'll be able to prioritize it in September 🥰 ugh isn't maeve fly so cool?? I feel like it's almost retro feeling and I'm digging it
Hello my name is Christina and I'm new to you chancel and the books I'm reading are. Land of a Hundred Wonders by Lesley Kagen The Shack by William P. Young Fly Away by Kristin Hannah and The Rumor by Elin Hilderbrand. I need to check out some of those books. I have Just Like Mother and jawbone we sold our souls and tell me I'm worthless on my list to read and check out from my library. Based on the book you like you might like the book A Deadly Game of Magic by Joan Lowery Nixon. Reply
I totally understand the whole not knowing the synopsis thing 🤣 I just hear some key words that i think ill like and add it to tbr lol
I'm better (kinda) once I actually read it 😂
Neverwhere is one of my all time favorite books. I have an old mass market copy and it looks way better. I love the copy you got from the UK. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading! 😊❤📚
I really need to read it asap. Neil gaiman creates such cool and unique worlds! Thank you 😊📚
Great haul. I did a book haul last month. Cant wait to do a new one this month.🌈🥤📚
Your book taste is impeccable
Thank you so much!

I love hauls! Shamelessly show us your books. I probably spend too much on books too but who caresss. Life is too short
Yesss 🙌 you are speaking my language!! 💖
I had fun reading the Girl in 6E. Quick read!!
I will for sure be reading it for my winter tbr. Didn't they make a movie out of it too!?
Love the sweater. Ohio University Graduate here. Just found your channel and have been enjoying your content.
Thank you so much! I actually didn't go there myself, but a lot of my friends did so I visited a lot

Jaws is so good to read
Summer just started, but all the horror books are making me SO READY for fall! I've never read a slasher book before, but I'm fully intrigued! 😈📚🩸

6:18 ugh I just loved Rootwork so much. Hope you do too 💜
7:20 I found Bad Cree to not be disturbing but hopeful and sweet and sad. Beautiful commentary on the value of community in healing from grief.
8:53 Although this book confuses me, I enjoyed it ultimately!! Idk if you saw but I have a whole video on horror books that feature music!
12:23 Jaws yes! I have a Vlog where I read it and rewatch the movie. I definitely prefer one over the other 👻
17:03 I just freaking love this cover! Just read it last month!
18:02 CCM is one of my faves. It’s pacing is a little slow at certain points but I didn’t mind since it’s just an immersive book
Great haul, I have a few of those on my tbr too
Thank you!!! Ooo which ones do you have? 👀🖤
How To Sell A Haunted House, Sprite House, Root Work, The Salt Grows Heavy and Mauve Fly.
@demeldapenkitty7937 great picks! I hope we both love them 💖💖
your neverwhere copy looks better than what I had. Mine was small and blue . no shade to the artist for the cover or anything.
Yeah no shade at all, it just does not reflect the story and I find that to be the case with a lot of Neil gaiman books 😬

Happy to have you! Welcome 😊
Great list! I will have to look into A Deadly Game of Magic, thank you for the recommendation.
The Neil Gaiman covers in America are so eh I collect the Headline editions because they all match but they're pretty
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. A matching set is so satisfying!!
Lots to go at!
Neverwhere is one of my top books
I have heard amazing things! I'm definitely going to try to get to it in winter
