I never crochet with Boye hooks, someone gave me one and I don't like it, I prefer the Susan Bates hooks, it's very surprising to me that you bought the Boye hooks in Walmart for $2.00 that is unbelievable because here in Arizona in my Walmart one Boye hook costs $5.00 , thank you for your review
Oh my goodness, what a difference in price! That is so surprising! I wonder why that is? Thanks for watching my video, even though you're a Susan Bates crocheter! 💓💞 I appreciate you!
@@slowcrochet that's a good question, I'm wondering the same thing, why such a big price difference 🤔 maybe because I live in the mountains, 4 hours away from the big city of Phoenix, or Tucson, I wish I knew the answer
I've always used Boye hooks, and never would have guessed that there would be differences between old and new. (I'm going to check my hook stash, now, for older ones!) I recently tried a new-for-me Clover, and find it smoother to work with. Thank you for the info--always something to learn!
You know, I've never once tried anything but a straight aluminum hook! Maybe one of these days I'll get around to trying Clover! I've never heard a bad word about them! 💕💓
Interesting comparison. I have been crocheting since I was 9. So 50 years. I am left handed and I personally could never get the hang of using the Boye hooks. I have been Susan Bates all the way. I can crochet like lightening. With the Boye hooks the yarn would never catch and stay for me. Weird. Having said that , I have a lot of Boye USA hooks in my collection. I never wanted to let go of them. 😂. I should try to see if I can actually crochet with the Boye hooks now. Thanks for the comparison 😊
How interesting! I never thought being right handed or left handed would affect which hooks work better, but that's a great perspective! Thanks so much for sharing it! 💕💞

I also love the vintage hooks!
We are birds of a feather! 💞💗
I love my old Boye hooks J & K!
I love them, too! J and K are some of my go-to sizes! 💕
Fascinating! I'm examining my secondhand hooks with fresh eyes now. Another awesome video. 🎉
You sure know how to make someone's day! ☺️❤️ Thank you for those sweet words!
I've only used boye hooks....been using the same ones for 50 years 😊 I need to try some of the new ones 😮
Ah, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! 💗💞 Hang onto those old ones, they're not making them the same way anymore 💓💕
