This tutorial was very helpful! I do have one question though. When I try to render through the maya hardware, the motion blur option makes maya crash. I'm able to render fine with it off though. Should I just leave the motion blur out or is there something I can do to keep the blur but make it not crash?
There are many reasons for software crash. One can be computer spec limitations. I suggest using motion vector as a pass and add the motion blur in post.
Really nice! Really good spoken speed! but hey there is one problem. How to collide it with the ground? a plane with a ncloth passive collider doesn't work. why?
'AMAZING' , helped alot , but sir when the particles complete the circle, particles collide and goes in one direction , how to avoid that collide and particles going out of circle in single direction?
hello, Maya hardware 2.0 crash my scene and I cannot open it agaiin... I think it's because of that but maybe it's a another thing I don't know... So, do you have a help for me please? By the way, great tutorial really, thank you!
If I want to animate de movemente of the portal, like you did in the final one, do I have to animate the circle in the very beggining, or when I have the final object?
How did you do the camera angle that made it look like you were getting sucked into the portal? Did you mess with the focal length or just simply animate it moving through?
Hi! this might be late but may I ask how do I cache the maya flow effect? nCache doesn't work because maya says particles are not classified under nParticles.
Thank you for this tutorial. It is the solution to a problem that had me scratching my head. I do have a question that you may be able to answer. What I am making is a science fiction type intake for a spaceship. I don't want any of the particles to go outside of the circle. Instead I would like them to gravitate to the center. Would a vortex work for that?
I would use a gravity node with volume turned on in its attribute. Use circle as shape and give it fall off Positive the gravity node right at the centre of you particle obj. Done 😃
Hello sir I want to ask you a question, when I input nuke compositing camera locators value in maya and making dust effect ,did’t happen anything there, please sir reply help!
Great tutorial!!! but I have a cuestion, how can I modify the particles to get a "perfect" circle, I tryed the last parameters you used to archieve the long tails, but in the left semms to be more particles than in the rest of the flow, is there any way to just modify one part of the figure? thanks again for the tutorial :) , also sorry if my english is not the best
You have two ways to achieve this. 1 to make the initial path (circles) thinner. Another "trick" is to add Fields/Forces such as turbulence to break up the movement of the particles and that point blends in with the rest of the flow
Hello Sarkamari, I love the tutorial but I need your help. Some how the color of the portal is gone. I went back to Add Per Object Attribute for both Flow Particle and particle but it does not allow me to check the box.
Happened to me as well a couple of times. Go back one save where you have not applied anything yet and try again. The issue seems to be fixed in Maya 2024
i think you are from another planet. really beautiful work.
Appreciate your kind words
Sir your tutorials are realy very helpful.
Glad to hear that
maya crash when i want to render with maya hardware 2.0. what's the solution?
You need to make sure that you have the compatible Graphics card: docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5ARP/Supported+GPUs
check with Maya 2023.
Naice.
Wow.. awesome!
really good.
Can you make one on Nebula or Cloud dust?

Passive collider works when you apply nParticles. With legacy, select both and use Make Collide.
Also thank you the kind words ☺️
@@sarkamari but one question again. how can I chache this now out?
You have 2 options: Either geo cache it (old method but still effective) or simply bake the animation
awesome thank you
Glad you found it useful. My pleasure
you are amazing buddy
Thank you Sir 🙏🏼

just finished the tutorial and I have the same problem and its bothering me so much that its not in a perfect circle lol
Ur tutorials r amazing 🔥❤️
Thank you

Good question. If you wish to change the moment of the curve, you can assign a Lattice deformer to it without changing the movement of the particles
@@sarkamari So, it its at the final and just with the Lattice deformer, right?
Awesome tutorial! Thank you!
How can I change the background in the view? :D
Glad you found it useful, Phil.
Alt+B changes the background
@@sarkamari Thank you :)
hi!! does it have to follow a circle shape? could we possible do this with an irregular shape?
Yes and yes
You can use Lattice deformer to change the shape of the circle
How did you do the camera angle that made it look like you were getting sucked into the portal? Did you mess with the focal length or just simply animate it moving through?
Hi;
Both. Using a different focal length while the camera goes through the portal

Can you do a nebula/ space themed tutorial?
Great idea.

Hi Sherya,
Apologies
I did not understand the question. Have you brought nuke point clouds into maya?

@@sarkamari Hello Sarkamari, once I finished school I no longer have Maya
Maya 2024 was released about 7 months ago so if you’re still studying you might be able to access it as educational on your home machine :)
@@sarkamari Once I finished school the subscription was taken away.
Hello again, how can I make the particles luminous? I have to recreate an scene, and there, the particles have light and illuminate the scene
You have two options:
Give the materials ambience (sufrace shader) greater than the value of 1.
Or my preferred method to easily do it in post
how i hide the controller when i wnat to playblast?
Via viewport drop down menus >Show
