I'm nervous because I don't feel I have the qualifications I need to coach someone else. I am professionally trained and have music theory, history and appreciation background. Just don't quite feel like I'm ready. Thank you for the encouragement though
I feel you have the technicals ready. Please try recording yourself and other vocalist friends. That will give you the idea and angle to be able to encourage, motivate and educate the vocalist your are working with. "Educate" really means to bring out the best in every individual. "Motivate" really means to help people find there own individual motive or reason to be singing. The rest is left in nuances and your ability to add images to your singing friends. As you inspire, you learn yourself. Reach wisdom by teaching people fundamentals. The rest is up to you passionate creativity.
Teaching voice is something I always considered but didn't have the confidence for. I have a degree in music and worked as a pro singer until the pandemic (and Brexit) stopped me working in the EU. I think that not being able to drive, or play piano proficiently put me off. Now I have a license and can use a mixture of backing tracks and basic piano accompaniments. Nothing holding me back and I needed this video to remind me of this 💜🎤
I have only recently started Coaching and have got 6 students already. I'm absolutely loving it and it's very rewarding. However, at $50 per hour, I am going to need 20 clients a week to make a decent living...and that's a lot of work!
Thank You for Uploading this Video, You are Fantastic. I'm gonna Become a Vocal & Instrument Teacher hopefully soon. Do you have another Social Media I can Connect with you on?
If you have experience as a professional singer or you have studied some form of music/voice then there is no reason why you can't start teaching singing. You don't have to have a licence to teach singing in the UK.

There are some great courses you can do now in terms of vocal coaching. What is it in particular that you don't feel ready for? 😀
