Hey, didn’t Hadley’s Hope explode in a vapor cloud bigger than the state of Nebraska, according to bishop? Wouldn’t that explain why no one went back to find samples? ☺️
We need another GOOD Alien movie. The whole, "David created the alien", idea was a let down for me. Also, the idea of the Engineers being the ones who manifested the alien was, eh... I would like to see that the Alien is it's own species. Not created by a humanoid.
Im going to have to challenge your thought here . David did not make the xx121. First the ship on lv426 was as said by the dallas it looks so old it was fossilized. There isnt even time between alien covent and alien to fossilized something. Also david aliens grow much faster and with less gestational time. They even hatch from a host looking more like the full grown adult. ... im guessing there are different strains of the Alien
SciFi Explained Or at least as fleshed-out as the critically-panned “Aliens: Colonial Marines”. But “Alien: Isolation”...? Oh boy! Watching Team Four Star’s “Krillin Plays -Alien: Isolation” is one thing, but playing it yourself..., sit on a toilet. When shit hits the fan, it might fill your pants.
Alien Isolation is my favourite Alien game and loved the LV-426 sequence in it. It is interesting to see how often it was revisited in expanded media and wish the films would return there even if it's brief. If I owned the franchise (hell if I was rich I would buy alien, predator, avp and other Fox franchises I love from Disney) I would expand the franchise big time, establish a multiverse on film to open the door for crossovers, have more video game franchises, live action and animated movies and TV shows and would listen to the fans.
Oh you poor deluded soul! Listen to the fans? Don't you know that's only for the successful franchises out there? Wait, there is only one anymore and marvel seems like they are starting to go the way of the rest of the failures these days. But you likely would never be given direct control in any circumstances, because these things are usually run by committee anyway. I'm being highly sarcastic in case you hadn't guessed. You never know when a joke might be taken the wrong way.
The (Failed) Aliens Colonial Marines have had some amazing concept art about the Unused Variants - Caste's of Xenomorph Hive. I hope one Day those concepts'll be picked up
I still like the game, especially with the templargfx mod. I'm all for xeno variants, so I enjoy the games, even though some get cheesy, they are still fun. Like the old kenner toy line, I love those!
@@scifiexplained Agreed. The potential of expanded xenomorph castes & variants are truly impressive as well as usable for future; the kenner's variants are among the classics
I liked the story of Colonial Marines though disagree with some things in the story, loved the xeno variants but mixed feelings about the game though I do play it once in a while and can look past the glitches mostly. I bought the Collector's Edition for the PS3 and still have the statue that came with it.
your explanation of the Aliens expanded universe is spot on... just take what u like from the stories & games - if it fits in with how you view the Alien world that's fine but otherwise just consider the stories as "what ifs" or "maybe this happened instead" regardless of how the expanded universe fits together it's often just nice to have a novel or game which gives us more Alien stuff. now if only someone would go to Disney Star Wars & explain how to view an expanded universe - how to use this content in a way that benefits both the franchise & it's fans. although don't Disney own the Alien/Predator/Prometheus franchise too now 😳😳 what's that saying about eggs & baskets again 🐣
There is actually another Dark Horse comic you missed that takes place on Acheron. Sadly i cant remember the name, but it's set decades or possibly centuries afrer Aliens, long enough for the moon's terraforming to have been compelted and turned it intoa lush, life rich, Earth like world. Some teenagers there go exploring some 'haunted' caves, which seem to be like an urban legend to then, discover the damaged remains of the Hadley's Hope town sign, and eventually get hunted by the last remaining alien, sick, injured and elderly, greyed with age and struggling to kill them, though still deadly if it can corner the kids. At the end of the comic, Marine/WY men exploring the caves eventually find the Space Jockey chamber, and thus the Derelict, burried deep under the rubble, earth and lush vegeration of the paradise world.
The Comics Great Video Btw!! I have Searched online n YT for ALIENS HIDDEN FILES regarding Burke’s n Bishops Main Company Objectives about the Alien Specimens to be returned to Company Labs for Research!! And Why The Company lies about the Manifestations. And How Hicks Survived. Also Newt is Alive with Ripley in the Comics.
10:47: "[A]n illegal Weyland-Yutani research facility ..." In the Alien 'verse, I don't believe there is anything that WeyYu -- or its competitors -- does that is _illegal_ .
Wish a decent dev would make a good Aliens game, Alien:Isolation is a fantastic game but I want a more action oriented game this time like a really good story driven FPS.....what? I am allowed to dream right? 👍
I wait for aliens colonial Marines for like 11 years since the orginal colonial marines got canceled on the ps2 I wouldn’t mind alien trilogy re done with ps4 or ps5 graphics alien trilogy and avp 2 and alien 3 snes are my favorite games
Screw Alien,I wanna know MORE about the movie PREDATORS with Adrian Brady. Whats the story with that other alien being that was chasing one of the characters through the jungle when the chick with the sniper rifle supposedly took it out, only to find out she missed ? I wanna see THAT alien being make a debut in its own movie. Is there a name for this being ?
Here's my question though: when they made the Hadley's Hope colony at LV-426 to study facehuggers, how did they get the eggs? If the ones that went in there got facehugged, how did they get those live facehuggers in glass containers we see in 'Aliens' (1986)? They can't have facehugged anyone, so they must have been removed manually from their eggs. If they managed to extract facehuggers from inside their eggs, how did they do that without getting facehugged? I mean, they might have captured a few without getting facehugged, but at least one human must have been impregnated at first since they didn't know about facehuggers. If even one of them got impregnated, one xenomorph would be able to wipe out everyone, form a hive and free any locked up facehuggers, so why were they still in glass containers? My guess is that there are still a whole bunch of eggs inside the derelict, and maybe even xenomorphs since they were all over LV-426. If Michael Weyland went after Ripley instead, maybe he thought she would be an easier way to get a xenomorph alive than facing an entire hive in the derelict. Once Ripley was dead, Weyland must have gone back to LV-426 with other crews to get at least one facehugger from inside the derelict. That would be an interesting story to see.
"Surgically removed before embryo implantation. Subject: Marachuk, John j. Died during the procedure. They killed him taking it off." They didn't have eggs, they got the facehuggers directly from the victims. I agree that the scenario you line out would be great to see.
One cool idea for a new movie alien scene , instead of one face hugger make dozen facehuggers sworm in on a crowd, attacking jumping on to people ,and face hugging people
The original Alien life cycle is much creepier than what we were presented with in Aliens. In the original, the alien can take any number of victims and create more eggs from each. You have Bret nearly turned into an egg, and Dallas not as far along. That is far worse than the Aliens movie that turned the Alien is a basically a big bug. A queen is not needed, the Alien is nastier, more alien. With a queen all you have to do is kill off a queen and you are pretty much insured that you can wipe out any group of aliens prior to any new queen showing up. With the original version, any single alien can propagate the species.
Not the ship! We saw one get hit directly by another large vessel mostly intact in Prometheus (which I'm not necessarily considering Canon in this instance mind you). I think it's probably of a similar strength in it's structure considering it probably crashed from high orbit also mostly intact. It could probably take a long distance nuke blast fairly easily without much internal damage. These are very tough ships in any circumstances and it was full of eggs, plus the space jockey alien might still be out there somewhere. Though I always thought that was the space jockey alien that laid all the eggs in the ship.
With respect, after the nuclear detonation, I doubt the derelict spacecraft would have survived-Therefore, no reason to go back. And even if the ship did survive, the site would’ve been blanketed by killing doses of ionizing radiation, purging all biological life.
I honestly doubt they can make a decent alien movie ever again. Hollywood relies too much on cgi and the scripts used are so bad I can write way better and I am an amateur novelist. Good video.
Awesome job!!! 👌 I'm really into this lore..I love the tragedy of Hadleys Hope
Hey, didn’t Hadley’s Hope explode in a vapor cloud bigger than the state of Nebraska, according to bishop? Wouldn’t that explain why no one went back to find samples? ☺️
I thought the same, the plan was to nuke it from orbit and they did. Unless the area nuked wasn't near the derelict ship where the eggs came from.
It was shielded by the mountain range the explosion didn’t blow the whole planet cause they wouldn’t have made it far enough when it blew

Right. David, and the Space Jockey/Engineer should have been studying it themselves.

Ah-ha, be careful there SciFi Explained. According to Ridley Scott, only his movies are cannon and everything else is bull.

Yeah, but there are different parts of alien canon, and in each, the damage done from the nuke is different.
