I work for DOC in Colorado. The hole can only be used for 15 days consecutively. It used to be 30, but that was considered cruel and unusual punishment. People today will do something bad if they feel it’s worth getting locked up for 23 hours a day for 2 weeks.. and unfortunately 2 weeks on the hole doesn’t scare anyone. Not sure how long Chris Watts was in my facility but they had him in the hole the whole time he was here, but it was for his protection, so I guess it depends.

15 days max is true but Unfortunately that's not the case brother I was a C.O..for a time back in the 90's when it was 30 days max..but unfortunately I ended up being locked up in 2013 .I got into a fight in the intake housing unit in the jail I was kept on extended lockdown for 90 days straight..

I hate rats as much as the next guy, but I couldn't harm a defenseless old man like that. He couldn't have lived much longer anyway considering his age, but rats generally die a rat's death, ya know?

A view from the UK. Another interesting video Lamont. As i've mentioned before, if these stories ever reach our shores they are very concise and land depth. eg., James 'whitey' Bulger was arrested today in an apartment in Santa Monica.....now, over to the weather.....
Being a Bostonian myself, worked at a sheet metal company in South Boston back in the early 1990's while on high school co-op, used to see Whitey come in every Friday for "pay day".. was one of the nicest guys I ever met, Would never know he was such a gangster til he disappeared in 1994. He would come in and give us "kids" some play cash for the weekend.. He would also ask if we needed anything.. and whatever we needed, it would show up with in 30-60 minutes. Very famous mobster, known to many in New England. His brother was a politician. South Boston was "Whitey"s grounds", killed and dumped/buried several bodies on the Boston/Quincy line. Winter Hill was actually formed in Somerville, Just north of Boston.. Great job with this Lamont!

I think that Jack Nicholson’s character Frank Costello from the Martin Scorsese film The Departed was based largely on Whitey Bulger. Costello was a ruthless, yet charismatic crime boss, much like Bulger. But Jack was utterly magnificent in the part. It’s a shame that was one of his final roles.

I heard alot about Whitey nothing good of course but I was also amazed how he eluded capture for such along time. I thought he was in Sweden or some far away place like that, and there he was right here in California sunshine area. I must say he died a horrible death.
