    There's so many things to take away from this situation. As BW, there's much to discuss when it comes to our image. First, let's address the fact that this woman claims to be a therapist. Why not use her field of expertise to counter the narrative? Everything about her reiterated so many negative stereotypes. There were comments made about her age, her hair, her purple lipstick, her "cheap" dress, how inappropriate her dress was for a date anywhere, let alone an expensive restaurant, how deep her voice was, how she didn't "deserve" to be even asked to go on a date, and trust me, the list goes on. Overweight, masculine, undeserving, all associated with BW. What "conversation" was she really trying to have? Nothing constructive came of this. Unless I missed something, that is. If I'm being completely honest, self-respecting BW shouldn't even engage in these conversations. Don't share the posts. Don't comment. Nothing. Pay it all in dust. It got way more attention than it deserved.

    • @ssoomee
      @ssoomee Год назад +15

      Literally this- being discerning in which BW to connect with and talk to is important, and for the BW and the people who don’t want good things for BW with standards, say absolutely nothing else. I wish ADOS women like this lived outside of the US to truly understand the cultural image of the American BC overseas, because they would stop making this type of content embarrassing themselves. And I’m saying this as an Afro-Caribbean woman and I know what people are saying about my people, and it sucks, but a lot of us are learning our lessons. Remember, anything you put on social media practically lives forever. So why would you post anything that works against your public image?

    There is an agenda to stop black women from what we started doing over five years ago. The world sees that many of us have accepted that black men have moved on and we got our US Passport and started traveling and we are documenting our travels and dating and marrying nonblack men. Over the last few years, black women have put up videos of us getting proposed to by black men wedding videos of black women getting married to nonblack men, and videos of black women and nonblack men in the delivery room giving birth to our mixed race children. Many of us have or are on the way to leaving the US and permanently moving overseas and even giving up our US Citizenship. We are being told that we are only good for black men and black men of the lower social class and only good for McDonald's value meals and nothing more.

    When you are used to dating up, you know that personality, a feminine demeanor , intelligence and being nice goes a long way. It’s not impossible to get a great dinner or a $500 date with no sex involved. Literally, I’m just myself, but I chose to date up. When men have money, they are typically happier, generous, have more going for themselves and have great conversations. Some of these guys are giving me great business advice, have become dear friends. They are so willing to be helpful in that regard and that is priceless. I know clearly what I’m after and they applaud it because I’m very straightforward. But it was things that I had to teach myself and also research. I know the life that I want and the kind of man that I want and it’s OK to have the standards that you hold . Men do it all the time and literally don’t know what they truly want half the time. Just be you, just do you. There are good men out there. Open your options.

It really is a dog eat ,dog world out there, everybody is playing the game.....even if people tell you they aren't playing the game,they are lying..Black women should stop being so forthcoming and honest about every intention and situation as well, as this makes us easy targets to be used for being a martyr or sacrificial lamb, always expected to be honest and self righteous and full of morals, when nobody else is forthcoming, nuanced, fair or even honest with us......
