I agree with Chase with what he said. Knowing you’re losing someone and experiencing that loss are two different things. You think you’re prepared but you never are.
I agree! And ALS takes away so much already. My Sister-in-law lost her husband to ALS. Hard to watch this story line, but glad for the awareness of ALS.😢
I have a feeling that is the intention of this story line. Btwn OLTL and GH, he has been around for decades, this is the most weighted material I can ever recall him being a part of. Actors are always looking to expand their range and depth. I think he met with the show runner and discussed it. He damn sure delivered with the raw emotion he delivered upon finding his dad dead. Many times an actor is fearful of weighted roles,A) b/c they might not be able to deliver, B) Where they have to travel to mentally to deliver (many have said it not as easy as ppl think to disassociate from a character).
Good thing about Finn in this episode is he recognizes what he’s doing is wrong. He’s not on denial and Chase is such a caring and supportive brother. He’s not judging him. He’s just there to listen and help in any way he can. Both actors were very good in this episode, especially Michael Easton
@SonnyWinning . I kinda thought he would have and it would have been a good story maybe he would have yelled at or scared 😳 Violet and then he would have realized he needed help and Fin and Violet would have gone to stay with Chase and Brooklyn or at least Fin would have let them take care of Violet!
I feel this sooo much i lost my dad back in January and the fact i had to watch him die was sad as hell. These scenes hit so close to home. Michael easton and greg harrison needs to win emmys here.
I Am Going To Thank God 🙏 That Chase Was There To Talk With Finn And Listening To Him. Chase Is Right There Is No Right Or Wrong To Grieve For The Person You Dearly Loved So Much Like Gregory. I Am So Glad That Finn Told Chase To Get Rid Of That Drink 🙂 😀 🥹 😍 🤩 😙 😚 😘 😊 😋 🤗 ♥️🌹💐🍾🍷🌃 🌠 🌌
While i have hated the current storyline associated with Ava's betrayal with Sonny, Joss behaving like a chickenhead after learning Dex was prepared murder on Sonny's orders, Jason being am informate for the FBI, Carly accepting her share of the hotel from Jason but not her own wealth son. I like how this storyline played out and Easton delivered!!
Chase trying to be permissive to Finn’s addiction. Glad he figured it out when Chase was trying to convince him to drink. 🤦🏾♀️ But Elizabeth offers to give him space to grieve while also trying to protect her niece and remind Finn why he needs to be sober and she gets attacked. Wtf?!
He took the psychology approach, remember Chase is a detective he's trained in deescalation. When he put himself in Finn's shoes and said, "I'm not going to tell you how to grieve if you need a drink you need a drink." He wasn't being permissive of Finn's drinking he was giving Finn the opening he needed to self reflect and come to the decision that he didn't want to keep drinking. Elizabeth's reaction was to shame Finn and declare that she wasn't going to let him get drunk with his child in the house. It's not her fault her reaction was colored by her past with Lucky, but it also put Finn on the defensive when he was already a raw nerve. Overall I HATE this story line and think it's overly cruel. However, the craft in these scenes from the actors is amazing!
I don't think Liz was wrong at all. She kindly offered to take care of Violet and suggested Finn go to a meeting. But Finn, because he wanted to keep drinking, became hostile, lashed out at Liz, then pushed her away. He just admitted as much to Chase. While Chase may have gotten through to Finn, he didn't do him any favors by giving him an out for turning to the bottle. Chase excusing Finn's drinking is just enabling his behavior. Chase thinks he can control Finn and stop him from drinking again, but he's in for a surprise when Finn starts drinking/using drugs again.
@@slyoj1086 I’m not saying Elizabeth was wrong. I’m saying she took a very confrontational response when Finn didn’t immediately decide to go to a meeting.
@@slyoj1086 Liz was NOT kind to Fin she was trying to force him to things her way ! I do appreciate that she called Chase to come talk to Fin and Chase did NOT “ excuse “ Fin or allow him to drink 🍺 but he understood what Fin was going through with his struggles! Chase And Chase Fin can lean on each other
The real fans of gh that been watching before they were born love gh and don't think gh is boring Tracy did amazing job with the news Gregory passing I love her friendship with Stella please don't watch it u are tired or with out a clear head then it would look like it boring but it not to people's that love gh been watching for years and still love gh❤
Are grief storylines, just for yt characters, because Trina , saw her young, healthy, boyfriend die, in front of her. And she has yet to receive, any real compassion or concern, from other characters. Spencer's own family seemed unmoved. And Trina's family has disappeared, from her life.
Two GREAT ACTORS
I better see Michael Easton on the Emmy reel next year. Phenomenal acting!
What about Gregory Harrison as Outstanding Guest Performer. And Jophielle Love as Outstanding Younger Performer. She hit it out of the park.
And the one who plays his daughter too she is awesome
I agree with Chase with what he said. Knowing you’re losing someone and experiencing that loss are two different things. You think you’re prepared but you never are.
This is so very true!!

So hard to grieve a loss from a loved one. And it's a sad scene from Finn and Chase.
Michele Easton is an underrated actor. One of my favorites. Deserves an Emmy nomination.

Truly great acting from both guys. I know how it feels and yes it triggered me but memories I'll never forget.
Michael Easton is an phenomenal to actor!!!!❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Feel bad for Tracy. They could have made a great couple.
I wish Liz wouldn't have blabbed to the co chief of staff about Finns drinking!! More trouble ahead with that

Yes! And Finn is heading to a meeting. Probably the one he & Alexis attended many times at General🏨
We'll see... this gave ME a lot of good material

I always find it bizarre that Hamilton and Harrison call each other by their last names when they’re brothers.
The actor who played Brando was shot and killed this weekend. 😢
