- The Tennessee Titans completed their rookie mini-camp over the weekend and JC Latham is already under fire as the masses online totally fail to understand how football works. Also, drafted defenders T'Vondre Sweat and Cedric Gray get off to positive starts. Finally, the Titans brought in a ton of undrafted free agents and a few names like Cole Spencer and Dillon Johnson stand out as guys who have a shot to carve out a role on the roster.

I'm a carpenter and fabricator. When I saw the sled video, I knew right then it was designed not to be pushed so high to slide back. If you look at the back end, it diggs into the ground if it's at a high angle. It's designed to push up at a certain angle to keep the sled level with the ground. Its genious in designed because it will only slide back when pushed up at the correct angle.
You just said the same thing like 5 times
@@jimmymadeit.1992 Nothing in my post was repeated 5 times. Does this little explanation warp your little brain?
The impressive thing about his strength was he figured out the angle while still holding up the sled, adjusted and pushed through. The weight is mostly backloaded on the back legs but even so it was over 100lbs he kept held in front of him. It's like JC holding a person at arm's length while thinking it out. Anyone that don't get how strong that is are just looking for reasons to hate.
I think the weight is front loaded. I saw a coach pick up the legs and spin it around pretty easily
Cant believe how much different this team looks in just one single offseason
I am a former (high school) LT and a student of the game. Any criticism of JC Latham on that blocking sled is simply asinine. Anybody who ever spent significant time on a two-man blocking sled, with a coach on your case knows that. JC Latham is a stud. He’s got everything it takes to be great. He only needs to take the coaching, hone his craft, and have some fun. I think the sky’s the limit for him. We very well may have struck gold. We may have even struck rhodium 😝 My new favorite phrase: “#ResilientandRelentless” #TitanUp
Insane that Latham is getting anything bad... I watched the video and had but ONE thought. WE HAVE A OFFENSIVE TACKLE!!! Looking at his body and how he moves brings a big SMILE to my face!!! Titan Up Baby!!!
Its Because He's A Titan So Any Little Thing Is Made Into A Big Bad Thing And Big Good Things Are Always Down Played. I Love That Shit Tho! We Don't Need Them To Like Us We Just Need To Win! F Everybody Outside Us!!💙⚔️
The sled certainly is designed for up and under but for keeping low as well. That is how you win at O-line. JC figured it out, dropped his hips and blew it up. What a great device for proper technique.
People think this one of those highschool sleds. The freaking thing weighs almost 400 lbs
I don't think Joe Alt could have moved the Slay
I think this week the rookie class mixes in with the vets! Boy I wish we had a HARD KNOCKS for this season here. I bet the behind the scenes would be awesome.
Dude, I NEVER want “Hard Knocks”!😂
@@josephnewbern2717 hard knocks will totally make youcare about players that you normally would never, ever even think of plus, you get to see some of the fun stuff that they do inside of those coach meeting rooms
Knox* would be really funny if it happened in Knoxville so that it would be hard Knoxville
So good to hear the draft picks are kicking it!
Everyone has a plan, until the pads go on! Titan Up ⬆️
great mike tyson reference :) hopefully he crushes jake paul
titan up
Like Callahan said make the mistake then fix it and don’t make it again and that’s exactly what he did
Think an underrated conversation that hasn’t been spoken about is Sweat being roommates with Cedrick Gray. Seems like a mature and no nonsense guy so far, and could be of some assistance to help make sure Sweat is staying locked in.
Ya I don’t think that was a mistake.
Excellent show Tyler!!
I thought JC looked like a beast. Who the heck is brain dead enough to think he wasn't working it!
We just call X'Zauvea Gadlin X here at LU. He has a decent shot at making the roster, at least practice squad. Former teammate with Malik Willis so the hope is that their connection propels them
TitanUp 🔥🔥🔥
Your right Tyler. They are stupid. They probably have never played and are ignorant to line drills. Being a former olineman in college, I can tell you that sled is different. It forces you to engage your hips and explode up and out.If you never used it you would fail because it takes a specific technique that has to be learned. He did fine with the adjustment.
So excited to see latham pete and cush this year
Titan Up
That sled looks tough? ...
I think Latham showed his strength with that rep!!!
Dude looks stout ah?
So all we got was a few clips for the entire camp?? I was hoping we’d get more access with this regime 😂
JC looks good so far and he’s only gonna get better! I can’t wait to see Bill coaching all of the starters!
Simmons and Sweat in practice will definitely be Iron Sharpens Iron.
@@anthonyhall4793 exactly and I can’t wait! 👀
I thought is was criticism from journalist or media members...it's non news then...
Proceed!

It’s a 380 pound sled. SMH it’s not easy to move that sled.
To be honest JC did a real good job and regular slay weight is 324 lb, so it was over 50 lb heavier he did a great job. But I will say I think they need to get that piece of junk out of there by the regular season to be honest it look like somebody's going to get hurt messing with that thing, if you're not 100% in Peak shape and try to move that thing you might hurt yourself and be out for the season
Honestly I trust Bill Callahans decision making. If it works than it works, just hope it improves our line at all from last year
Titan up 1️⃣
You call it Bertha, I call it Bessie. Whip out the Mator voice from Cars “shoot, you get to work with Bessie”
Big Tyyyyy what's good Big Dawg!!
Everydayer here
I kno they want sweat at 350.. but u don’t want him to lose that power .. reminds me of jurell Casey after he went vegan and lost the weight he wasn’t the same anymore…
Casey was insane the entire time he was a titan, literally one of our best dts ever. Really fit number 99
Narveson went to NC State
I bet he works at it until he's mastered it
I love Washington rb Dillon
Mannnnn that boy Joe Alt looked soft on the Chargers rookie camp video 😂
Bc he plays soft. As big as he is, he's a finesse tackle. He's not physical at the point of attack on almost any of his tape. Not saying he won't be great but I reeaally didn't want him and glad we didn't get him. He's got really good technique but that can be taught. Latham's strength cannot be taught.
And I hope they do a better job with injuries but I heard the new training staff manager talk and he didn't leave me with much confidence as far as to his experience knowledge and capabilities
Can't be worse than previous training staff,,lead the league in IR the last three seasons
Big Bertha and Overweight Olga
Lmao Latu working this dude for a decade
Better hope he can last a year after his spine issue.
@@lil_wooddale44 been whippin MF’s just fine for 2 years
Latu gonna get plastered by that human fridge 💯
@@Chaseh1616 that slow MF won’t do nothin’ Latu taking him to school
@@richardrhodes4701 gone regret not taking Dallas Turner buddy
Tell em we could bring in Isaiah Wilson again guys Latham is better than Dillard and Wilson
I wonder if Bill Callahan notices him
Sheesh, ppl gotta chill out...
I'm not worried about JC Latham. If they're gonna yap their mouths about Latham, why not go try the bertha themselves
People criticizing JC Latham for the first workout drill of his career are losers
Told u
go titans
Can sweat play o line
Dude he could prolly be a good guard honestly
Treylon is going to embarrass you
And I cant wait for it. Takes shots at him every episode
1 TD in 2 years is horrible.
I wish someone in the media had the balls to ask Sweat what he has to say to Tennesseans that have lost loved ones to drunk drivers.
Latham looks slow and lazy probably an epic fail
That is an insane take. What credentials, insight, or experience do you have to give such an outlandish assumption???
