    I am an adult, well along in my years now, and I am very glad to see that Mr. Folz takes a few moments at the beginning of his lesson to help young students deal with their very natural frustrations, arising from dealing with a complex subject, under pressure to pass and get good grades. It is hard to learn ANYTHING when you are already deep down in a well of emotional suffering and see no way out. That can be a very lonely feeling. So glad to see the instructor giving some words of encouragement. Well done on that approach and on a wonderful instructional video! Thank you!

    I am taking a 6 week accelerated statics class for my MA in psychology. Our textbook is like trying to read a foreign language. Your videos are the only way that I am getting through and actually getting an A in the class. Thank you!

    • @neurorn477
      @neurorn477 8 лет назад +2

      +Chrisitina Kinerk you are spot on. My textbook is not only in a language of formulas that I do not speak but it has typos and math errors that my on line instructor keeps apologizing for. And he talks in formulas that aren't in the book. Brandon is like the best private tutor ever.

    • @khazaddum6599
      @khazaddum6599 8 лет назад

      +Chrisitina Kinerk I feel you. Brandons videos are top-notch; a lot of stat teachers can learn tons from him.
      Just one thing. IF you want to keep working in the stats area, trying to understand the weird looking formulas is very helpful. It takes time to crack them down but once you manage it's quite useful.

    You have saved my life, 2 weeks into school I was totally lost because my instructor does not know how to teach. Reading slides and rambling off a bunch of words is what I received in my course. Within 2 min you made what was like a foreign language to me very clear. You are an excellent educator, unlike my instructor who maybe an expert in the lab but a novice as an instructor. Thank you!

  • @lilyturner1510
    @lilyturner1510 5 лет назад +1

    This video is legitimately saving me for a test that's worth 40% of my grade. I was SO confused prior to watching this. Reading the textbook or trying to get extra help was still similar to learning a foreign language. Thank you for communicating these concepts in a visual way that I can finally understand!!! Thank you a million for this video, you are a kind and generous person.

    The way Brandon Foltz introduces, motivates and teachs it's worth much respect and greafulness. Do I exagerate? Not at all: the introduction is moving, and the content is top level. I can say, I have a MSc in Economics thus I am non complete novice to statistiscs, that this is an excellent top way to spread science and knowlwdge for all the people who are willing to learn. Thank You Sir, I wish I could do something like you, obsviously on a smaller scale, for my children, my frieeds and my collegues.

    Hello Brandon,
    I accidentally came across your tutorials while finding a solution to a real life statistical problem, and absolutely loved it.
    I guess, the student community and returning professionals like me, owe you a BIG THANK YOU for making statistics so easy to digest and easy to refresh.
    It would also be great if at the end of each lesson, you can refer to a real life worked example (perhaps an uploaded spreadsheet) to explain the application of the concept in real life.
    Thank you,
    OL
