So i think the best compliment i can give Helm is this. My grail watch was the Sinn U1, in my opinion one of the greatest tool watches ever made. As a result i really liked the Vanuatu with its similar hands, and the fact that is around a tenth of the price. When I missed out on a Vanuatu release I had had enough, so i raided the piggy bank and splashed out for a fully spec'ed out U1. When later my name came up for a Vanuatu, well i bought that as well its a Helm!

Got one similar to it. Helm is a great watch maker, but I did have to send my Komodo back for a repair. Helm did it free because it was under warranty. Just recently, I bought the blue Miyako. Nice review, BTW.
excellent review. i just got the same black-orange khura and noted that the orange lume is relatively weak and dims in less than 1 hour. i do not know whether yours does the same. if the orange lume is weak, then getting the white hands would make more sense, especially if this watch is actually used for diving... though i love the looks of the orange minute hand. regarding the band, its solid, but to make it better i think it would need a diver's extension to make this a proper tool watch. i know that most of us do not dive with this watch, but its always nice to have an authentic, functional dive watch. seikos offer the diver extension clasps, for instance, though the quality of Helm's clasps surpasses Seiko's typical offering.
Cheers David and welcome to the channel, yup good call on the clasp, any option to extend/reduce makes a lot of sense!! Shame about that lume and i think it must be down to the base paint they use 😬😬
