It’s natural for a girl who enters puberty to cover up. I observed that many of my girl classmates at school felt more comfortable and loved to wear oversized jumpers when their bodies started to grow and transform into a more feminine shape.
And when I was a little girl, after every winter in the late spring, I was strongly encouraged to abandon wearing long-sleeved clothing but I felt uncomfortable and uneasy about that. I would’ve simply preferred to be left alone and to be allowed to cover my skin.

I'm a Christian woman who veils completely but others can do as they wish. It is between them and God (Allah). I veil because I believe that it pleases God when women are modest, and my bishop has blessed me to do so. Alhamdulillah!

Truthfully. My 10 year old niece started to wear the hijab, even after her aunts and grandmother advised against it. While I was present even her mom (who wears a Hijab) asked her why she is wearing one so young. She told everyone simply. I want to. That was the end of it. Despite all the philosophy and dramatized attacks against Muslim women in the West and Europe for wearing the Hijab, in Islam it is dignity and honor. The enemies of Islam wish to rid Muslim women of the Hijab and rebel against the morals of Islam. The Western media portrayal of Muslim women as oppressed in society gives a huge space to the tiny exceptions to make Muslim women look like victims. Actually Hijab is not mentioned in Qoran. If you find it let me know. This is just manupulation of religion and uneducated people accept it like lams following their shepperd. She is right. In qoran is writen about choice of religion and not forcing, and In Iran women are forced to wear hijab in the name of religion. Such a shame! poor real moslem who can all those verses.
I believe it is not about that at all, if the wearing of Hijab is law and the punishment for not adhering is severe, even bodily harm. Then the Hijab in those instances does not represent a submission to God because there is no choice, and rather it is submission to Man that fancies himself in the place of God, this is blasphemy and a mockery of what otherwise would constitute a sacrifice to God. If there is no other choice, no other option, then the free will to make that choice, to make that sacrifice is taken away and it becomes meaningless in the eyes of God.
To see another human is to be human, it is important for us as human beings to see others' expressive faces and demanding someone cover their face is perverted, because it ultimately originates from the immature thought that men are helpless animals that cannot behave if they are emotionally affected by sight of a woman's face, and in stead of teaching civility man has been judged (by himself in this case) to be incapable of this and therefore women must cover up, lest it be too difficult for the poor men. This is, indeed, perverted.
The avoidance of shame is to build oneself a prison, a shy person feels shame because they dare not speak up, they feel they are not who they should be. Shame must be explored, because some shame is meritless and meaningless, if it is not explored then understanding will not come. Children are innocent and have no shame, because they have no knowledge of it, then they are infected by the shame of their parents which in turn have been infected by the shame of the culture they live in, but they should examine this shame and decide for themselves if they should feel it for most of it is not merited and is perhaps only borne of the abuse that is a prescriptive tyrannic religion. Morality is not begat from religion, it is begat from human experience, empathy and intelligence, they are universal and will not allow themselves to be claimed by the musings of fearful hearts that cling to supernatural explanations of existence. Religion began from divine dreams, divine because they had no prescription, they were original and unique but the enlightenment and preponderance they awoke stoked a burning fire inside man, a black consuming fire, the fear of not knowing, not understanding and so to soothe themselves and others they began tying these dreams together and imbuing them with ingenious and imperfect coherence. The ultimate challenge and curse is to fully realize that there is no God and there is no afterlife either, so make the best of what you can of your life, because it is a miracle of randomness. To be blissfully comforted by a shared delusion may just do for many people and that is fine, it is however when that delusion is forced upon others when I have a problem.

Burning a piece of fabric is subjugation? Are you blind to the shackles placed on women in Iran? Hijab should be a personal choice, not law. If covering ones' hair is a form of surrender to God then is this sacrifice not made meaningless by making it mandatory law? To be able to make a sacrifice you must have the option to not do it, otherwise it is not a choice at all. The symbolic surrender to God has in this case been usurped by Man. Is that not blasphemy?

I am an Iranian revert AlhamdolAllah, it makes me sad to see all those Iranians blinded by their ignorance and hatred against a regime which is totally opposite of what Islam is, the fun fact is approximately 90% those « leaving » Islam, are just Shias who are not basically aware that they are just a sect minority used bu their political leaders in order to keep them « unite » in a sense, during conflict against the Ottoman and then against Irak. Shias are not Muslim as we know and the problem is that we have them on our back like glue, like a disease who misrepresents us. Without this fitna Islam would have been 5-6 billion easy. But it is a test from Allah swt and he showed us that even in a multi millenarian country you can have a generation switching into jahylia.
