She’s a Muslim woman, her speech is aimed at Muslim woman, and she’s supporting women who face discrimination in egypt for wearing hijab. Her words were seriously taken out of context

She shouldnt say that veiled woman are better than those who are not. This what sparks the debate. The sentiment of judging a person, either she is holy or she s not holy, she is good or bad is based on clothes doesnt make sense anymore in this equality time. She came fro the sentiment of people who judged woman with veil as uneducated and wanted to uplift the hijabi... but she s just using wrong context

"And whoever Allāh guides - he is the [rightly] guided; and whoever He [Allah] sends astray - you will never find for them protectors besides Him, and We [Allah] will gather them on the Day of Resurrection [walking] on their faces - blind, dumb and deaf. Jahannam [Hell] will be their home; whenever the Fire becomes less intense [less painful], We [Allah] shall make it blaze more fiercely for them."
"That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our verses and said, When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected [in] a new creation?"
"Do they not see that Allāh, who created the heavens and earth, is [The One] Able to create the likes of them? And He has appointed for them a term, about which there is no doubt. But the wrongdoers refuse except disbelief."
"Say ˹to them, [O Muhammad]˺, “Even if you were to possess the ˹infinite˺ treasuries of my Lord’s mercy, then you would certainly withhold ˹them˺, fearing they would run out-for humankind is ever stingy!”

"And with the truth We have sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner."
"And [it is] a Qur’ān which We have separated [by intervals] that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period. And We have sent it down progressively."
"Say, Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it[[i.e., the righteous among the People of the Scriptures who recognize the truth contained in the Qur’ān.]] - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration,"
"And they say, Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled."

    0:55 Incorrect translation.
The user didn't say "racism towards veiled women"
She said "racism towards non-veiled women"
And to add some context as an Arab Muslim woman, there is a stigma around both types of women. Non hijabis get thought of as women with no values or be looked at as non-Muslims (which is insulting to some of these women), and hijabis get discriminated against for their hijab and looked at as poor, lower class, or even uneducated.
I do think they have a point in criticizing what Radwa said since she generalized by saying "100-times better" and not specifying better in what.
But I don't think it's necessarily offensive to them since she was obviously praising the hijabis on their choice to wear hijab, not their manners.

Everyone who isn't proud of Islam is like that, not just Egyptians. In Shia communities in my experience, people are more proud of Islam, because instead of having imperfect examples of holy figures such as Abu Bakr, Umar, and Muawiya who had disagreements, we have 12 infallible Imams who agreed perfectly with each other, the Holy Prophet, and Quran.

She explain very badly why its good to wear the veil. There is " non-hijabi " that pray 5 times a day and there is "hijabi" that doesn't pray -> I just discredit what she said. So yes women have to wear jilbab, no its not how you judge someone good deeds and if they're "better" or "worse" than you.

She doesn’t know the original purpose of the hijab, which is to differentiate between free and slave women
Nothing to do with modesty, it’s shocking how many muslims don’t know this, bcuz they don’t read shit, they just listen to islamist apologetics on the 100s of islam channels

Those Burkinis apparently cost a pretty penny to begin with, so the woman complaining that she can wear one in California but not in Egypt is an embarrasment for a Muslim country, but then again I wonder what hardline Muslim clergy have to say about the Burkini as an option for Muslim women who wanna swim in coed public pools?!?

I don’t get it what’s the issue? She said women who wear hijabs shouldn’t give into societal pressure to remove their hijabs. What’s problematic about that? If a woman decides to remove a hijab it should be for personal reasons and not because she feels obligated to by others around her. Why are people getting mad at that?

    • @thomaskennedy5728
      @thomaskennedy5728 2 года назад +3

But she also said hijabi women are better than non-hijabi women. She could say non-hijabi "muslim" women. That would be much better as her translate attacks all those who don't wear hijab including non muslims.

    • @Intelligence_Failure

because islamic conservatism in egypt is associated with the muslim brotherhood, which is extremely viciously persecuted by the counterrevolutionary glorified junta that the US, UAE, IL and their ilk put in power.
