A big hello from Texas! I watch on Saturday morning with coffee to ease into the day. I love to explore and enjoy exploring thru you. Gorgeous countryside. Stay safe and enjoy!
This journey has been an absolute joy to view. Thank you for sharing it. The random YES on the side of the building is generally a reference to the desire for Scottish independence, an obsession of the Scottish National Party
Thank you, Kevin for another enjoyable episode. I appreciate your comment regarding this route reflected the diversity of the previous islands you visited. Very nice!
Thoroughly enjoyed that video sir. I thought the blue Defender was a little discourteous. I have for thirty yrs toured Scotland from here in Wales. I make every effort to allow cars and motorcycles to pass at every convenient opportunity. That particular road I have travelled myself and its brill. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kevin, Once again you have taken us on another interesting, scenic journey through some stunning and at times, rather bleak landscape. That beach where you were tempted to have a dip was stunning, and early in the video the river running by the road reminded me of my home country, New Zealand. Thank you and I look forward to the next episode. 😀
Thanks Kevin, for more beautiful scenery on this part of the bike road trip adventure. It's that good that I think that the next adventure for the future should be another Kevin on GS road trip along some more beautiful UK roads, there's thousands of them. Take care and all the best. Stevie
superior post, Kevin -- your straightforward visual presentation, the achingly clear focus, the intense, vivid colors -- most impressive...to the greatest degree in this series you exhibit in this episode your street skills, navigating the sinuous route while dodging a goodly number of suddenly appearing vehicles -- most enjoyable!!
Glad to see you taking "The Wee Mad Road" detour on the NC500 along the coastal route from Lochinver to Unapool!. You got the weather Kevin and your viewers saw what Scotland has to offer! And as you noted not many camper vans or caravans on that section! It's a stunning part of the country for sure and a great way to just plod along. It can be quite sickly for some folks if in a car due to all the twists and turns. Long live the motorcycle!
Hi...2001 first time up to Scotland had bad crash 2002 same repaired kawasaki zx9r 2up 2soft panniers did exact route your doing and that inverkaig road was bad then🫣😄 .....been many times since looking forward to your forthcoming vids as I've been 2022 Orkney and Shetland which was superb and icing on cake hebrides last year....atb from. Cumbria...👍
Hello from another Kevin who's in Georgia (USA). I am enjoying your tour of the Scottish Isles, beautiful country, cozy little towns, and so much more. My dad is from Southern West Virginia and I grew up going there twice a year to visit family. The mountainous areas, minus the shoreline, tend to remind me of those trips to grandma's house. I also really like your BMW, it's a very solid-sounding motorcycle. Thank you for the ride-along to places that I would most likely not otherwise see. 😀
YES .. refers to Scottish independence and referendums. I know your tour is about visiting the islands and just enjoying riding your bike, but you've missed so many beautiful places and beaches. Despite some rain days, you were really very lucky with the weather
Ahhh. Just beautiful!! So much cold, hard, rock! I imagine the language reflects the harshness of the landscape... harsh but beautiful. N' kCKrraiGggyschmooooorrrrr!!!! Interesting observation about the islands' regional reflections! And wow... the snaps of southern France... a very rich culture there!
Hey! Hey! Hey! It's Friday! What a beautiful day for a ride. The long and winding road. Thanks for the trip and the mental break. Stay safe out there! - -Cheers from super November rainy Seattle!☔🌧
That Drumbeg loop is something else. I drove it years ago in a Vauhall Cavalier. Hairy in places when you can't see over the brow of the hill on a blind bend! At one point a Mini had come off the road with one wheel suspended over a deep ditch. A few of us stopped and lifted it back onto the road. You couln't do that with a modern "Mini"!
@salopianblue8765 I imagine all the rocks help to cut down on slips. I'm from the hills of WV in the US. Slips happen even with trees. Willow trees around streams seem to be the best to stop erosion there.. I'm figuring the deforestation occurred in past history as fuel for fires. Clearing for sheep as well. It just surprises me I haven't seen any erosion on the videos. Beautiful country but, extremely devoid of trees.
I thought you fellas had skinny roads in England...but, nothing the likes of these goat paths you've been riding on during this trip. A game of hopscotch would take up the whole road!
Here in South Africa, standing on your pegs, especially on a GS... Meerkatting. Gives back, hips and knees a stretch, gives a better vantage point, gets the weight forward... I'm sure the seasoned Adventure Bikers will add a plethora more, 😆
Another view point may be that BMW designed the GS range as a road bike with limited off road ability, and designed it with the rider sat on his arse, Any change to that, your Insurance company will dump you like a sack of potatoes, and you’d get screwed in a court of law, just stop and get off is easier, but life is your own choice just suck up the consequences
Church or house? No need to wonder-the local architecture seems to moonlight as life’s roadside oracle🔮. Or Kevin, perhaps that ‘Yes’ house was cheekily answering last week’s question about introducing a fishing boat. Coincidence? Hmmm...🚤 Cheers😄
Loving the journey Kevin but a little research would have directed you to Lochinver Larder and it’s award winning pie shop, never mind you can get them sent in the post. The road along the coast from Lochinver I think is one of the best.
At times your frontal shots of you on the bike remind me of the classic motorcycle intro for the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" with Peter O'Toole. (But of course you don't ride at that speed although the camera can be deceiving) Keep safe!
Hi Kev. As a motorcyclist, I find the view forward, through the top edge of the screen, very unsettling. I'm trying to focus on the line through a bend, but there's a wonky bit, exactly where I'm trying to see... As a Grip... The camera's gotta go higher. Match your eyeline, perhaps? Big love Bruv. Thank you for this series. I'm looking forward to seeing Aslan again tho.

Thanks for showing us parts of Scotland most of us will probably never see, particularly those of us from the states.
Another fab vlog. Really enjoying them. Thank you

Between this video and your last of this island I have to say it’s my favorite of your entire trek thus far. Just love it! Thank you as always!!!
Thanks again Kevin for your excellently produced videos, Wonderful scenery of the scottish Highlands.
Dave and Elaine

Loving the video, take me back to many years ago riding those roads , I wince when you stand up, but that’s up to you 👍👍
How beautiful. Words don't do it justice.
Not enough of Lochinver, I guess I shall just have to go myself 😉
Enjoyed random guy walking 28:10
Mesmerising. Those narrow roads and watersides.
That was great again thankyou very much. Take care
Very nice, but those crowded narrow roads must give you anxiety. Beautiful scenery, thanks for the ride!

Each episode is such a joy!! Lovely scenery and commentary! Thank you so much!
Hi Kevin. That was certainly a very pleasant detour from the main road. You definitely have found some scenic spots. Take care. Nick
Thanks Kevin, for more beautiful scenery on this part of the bike road trip adventure. It's that good that I think that the next adventure for the future should be another Kevin on GS road trip along some more beautiful UK roads, there's thousands of them. Take care and all the best. Stevie
I have to agree Kevin, this is my favorite day of the trip!
Thank you, Kevin, for the ride along in this gorgeous countryside. The variety boggles the mind. See you next time from over here in Portland, Oregon.
Wow, really narrow roads. It looked like great riding just the same. Great video as always Kevin.

Great vlog Kevin. On those narrow roads, the oncoming drivers were very cautious ,I thought. Can't wait until you're next vlog.Stay safe😎

Thanks for finding this spectacular route. I usually take the more inland roads up to Durness from Ulapool. Certainly give this a try next year. 👍🙂
Beautiful ride. Brilliant!! Thank you Kevin! 🤗❤
That's some beautiful country, and those roads seem like your always threading the needle. Great pics, thanks for the ride.
Love the ride it was absolutely smashing, especially from the view your BMW is giving us. Thanks, Charlie from Pennsylvania 😊

WOW! Thanx.
Sutherland is described as the Last Wilderness in Europe. How true!
Your look says it all Kevin! Munch munch, slurp slurp!
Well Kevin I really did enjoy that part of Scotland, never realized how beautiful it is.
Yes Martin that whole northern coastal section provides everything that's great about Scotland.
YES .. refers to Scottish independence and referendums. I know your tour is about visiting the islands and just enjoying riding your bike, but you've missed so many beautiful places and beaches. Despite some rain days, you were really very lucky with the weather
Excellent. Looking forward to this Kevin….As usual!❤️
Hope you are well grand vlog views and lochs what more could you want tc now Kevin the oldies 🤗🤗👍👍
stunning views - great vlog
Lots of Rocks
My goodness! Those roads are so narrow, I swear they are sidewalks! I'm surprised there aren't accidents left and right.

Chaka khan, Chaka khan 😂
It's 5 o clock😊... loved the randomly parked caravan in a field near the end, I could happily live there.
Until the Scottish winter?
I've seen log burners in caravans, though supposed to get a bit on the hot side. 😳
@@CountryHouseGent But at least in Scotland, they are not illegal Kevin.
I’d thought Scotland cut down its last tree 200 years ago; glad to see that’s not entirely true, at least on this island.
I was wondering about the deforestation. Not a lot of trees but, I don't see a lot of erosion either. Why not?
The root systems of the low lying vegetation helps prevent erosion?
@salopianblue8765 I imagine all the rocks help to cut down on slips. I'm from the hills of WV in the US. Slips happen even with trees. Move laid back loveliness 😊
great vid on travels thanks lee

May not be good for caravans, but there’s a bunch of lorries.!

Thank god for ten degrees 😊
I love that garage in Ulapool. They only sell E5 and tractor juice. 😄
Only the best then Mike 🙂

It was definitely a signal from the cosmos Mark. 😎
Yes: Rick Wakeman lives there.
Xx
2:02 I Feel For You...
😆
I was told when living in Scotland that if the roof is removed then you don’t have to pay taxes on building.
Loving the journey Kevin but a little research would have directed you to Lochinver Larder and it’s award winning pie shop, never mind you can get them sent in the post. The road along the coast from Lochinver I think is one of the best.
Just checked that out. Yes I missed a treat there.
What would these people living in these remote houses do for employment Kevin? It seems there are plenty scattered over coastal Scotland in the north.
Sorry Chris, it's a mystery to me what they do for a living. They can't all be farmers.
Maybe the occupants at 20:00 are owners of a lonely heart. 😏
😁 I think you're right. 😆
What's the lovely vegetation all over? Maybe I've I've missed a comment somewhere.
Hi Glenn, it's called Common Gorse - an originally non-native invasive species apparently.
Really enjoyed the scenery on this video, is the title music at the beginning of your videos played by yourself Kevin?.
Great to hear that Derek. No it's not me this time round. 🙂
@CountryHouseGent who plays it Kevin ?
I thought you said ‘here’s a spa’ and I was wondering whether a spa treatment was in order. 😂
That would be awesome I think. A chain of hot spa's up and down the land you can park up and pop into for a 30 minute soak. 🙂
At times your frontal shots of you on the bike remind me of the classic motorcycle intro for the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" with Peter O'Toole. (But of course you don't ride at that speed although the camera can be deceiving) Keep safe!

I'm off up there for a dip as soon as this global warming/climate change kicks in!! 👍
You might have a bit of a wait, James. 🤭😉
Definitely see why it is not suitable for caravans 😅
