With my children and grandchildren, our family is large. I thought of making a button for each family member, decorating each one and writing each persons name on a button. They could be strung together, then add some tiny baubles or bells between each button and hung up across a wall, window or archway over the Christmas period. I’m so excited to do this and can’t wait to get started. I also have family and friends who’ll be getting one as a Christmas gift. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. I just love it.

OK, it's me again. I just thought I'd collect some of the great ideas from the livechat.
Catherine: a buttons only journal - LOVE this!
Thrifty Apprentice: embellish real purse or handbag - super idea! might need varnish for weatherproofing. Or would work on spectacle case or similar.
Daydreamer Designs/Kelly Lea/Planning with Donna (and maybe others): Car dangle - cool!
Finally Crafting: put on ribbon or elastic round plain vase; party name tags - love both of these!
    Sorry if I missed anyone!

I don't remember waiting for any video as eagerly as I waited for this one for a long, long time. I seem to be obssessed with these buttons, and I've been walking around the house and collecting bits and bobs of fabric, cardboard, magazine pictures, music sheets and whatnot that I could use for my buttons. I pre-cut around fifty buttons out of two sturdy paper shopping bags while watching a movie last night and now I am deliciously fretting over a big question: should I collage over them and make them into outer pieces or should I stack and glue a few of them and use them as a filler to fortify my buttons... 🤔💖 What a sweet dilemma! I absolutely love your ideas and these button videos have really struck a creative cord! 🤷‍♀️ Love from Switzerland 🤗💚
P.S. That must've been the thickest cookbook I have ever seen! Hopefully it is not only used for crafting... 😊

Thank you Natasa, you are so creative, so talented and a great teacher, always so clear in the explanations and generous in suggesting the various uses of your wonderful works. I can't wait to get to work, I think they could be used to make some napkin rings or curtain holders, to decorate a summer straw hat, I love boxes and I have several round ones that I keep various objects in, I think it would be nice to decorate some only one with buttons of each size. You can use two very very large buttons as a front and back cover and create a round notebook with round sheets hand-sewn on the side. In short, as always you are a great inspiration, I'm glad you are better, send you love 🌷

As soon as you put the number 2 on the canvas I though of your whimsical houses . The buttons could just be 1 sun in the sky, or it can be a window or a door. They can be the head and body of a bird. It can be a field of whimsical flowers. It's driving me crazy because we are moving very soon and all my stuff is packed. I thought of leaving them out to until last but then I would have more things to pack. As soon as I am settled I am going to have a button pallooza. Never would have thought of looking in a fishing store for supplies although when I am in a hardware store I do. And another fabulous idea for ribbon crimps. Another idea would be to write family and friends names and Birthdates on each button and hang as a dangle or make some kind of decor item. I had to read through the replies to see what other ideas had come up. Who would have thought you could do so much with buttons. They would look great as decoration on hats or as scarf ties, see now you have my brain swirling with ideas. You're the best Natasa Take Care Hugs and Smiles

I love all the uses you have shown in this tutorial. I’m looking forward to using some of them. I have made a few of the smaller sized buttons just to get the feel of it. I love making them! I did have to giggle at the “some sort of fishing thing” lol. The country girl came out in me when you said I don’t know what they’re used for. You tie your fishing line on one end & attach your fishing lure to the other. Your line won’t tangle as you reel your lure through the water. And I’ve used them 50 plus years fishing but never thought to used them in my crafting! Going to get me some more! 🤣

Nice ideas. I like the dangling chain of buttons best - in fact, that was the 1st idea that came to my head. I'd love to see a full set of long (top of door to bottom) of various sized buttons made into a curtain (the way you'd see a beaded curtain), or a wall hanging. I also thought it'd be cool to see several glued around a picture frame, mirror 🪞, or the background of a large hanging clock - (you can buy clock kits for the numbers, hands, & time mechanism). Thank you for sharing, and especially for your tip on the swivels! I'll definitely be getting some of THEM!

Glue a button to a clothes peg/pin and glue a magnet strip to the other side. You could put it on the fridge.
You could glue it to a hook for decoration.
Use more cereal boxes to make a round box and use the button for the top.
You could just glue a magnet on the back of a button.
    A fan/light pull.
At my mom’s chiropractor a lady is selling flowers made from real buttons. They are on wire and stuck in glass salt shakers from the Dollar Tree. You could do the same with paper buttons.
With the felt buttons, you could sew them on a t-shirt or sweater for decoration. You could use them to spell words or names on shirts.
I love your ideas. I’m always thinking/looking of/for ways to reuse things and craft with things others would throw away.

    Good morning, Natasha!
This is a remarkable video! How creative can one person be? You’re amazing! As someone else mentioned, your voice is so pleasant. I often keep RUclips running on our TV while I’m doing chores. I’m in and out, but I get to see a lot of you! Confession: I get less housework done, because I just have to stop and watch so often! Ha!
You have a great sense of style, and coordinate colors beautifully. I don’t know if you’ve had any training in this area. If not, you didn’t even need it!😉
I think your packaging method could make anything look beautiful!
I have to tell you that I was touched by the things you shared about your journey as your family migrated to Australia. I can’t help but believe that the years you, and I, lived with little money taught us to be more creative. My mother taught me how to squeeze a dime into a dollar! She’s much the reason that she and daddy were able to rear four girls with such small salaries. We were what today I would most likely consider “poor”, but we didn’t know it. We didn’t need a lot of money, we had lots of love! My mother sewed beautifully. She made almost everything we wore. I consider myself blessed by my childhood.
The swivels. I was daddy’s third daughter. He wasn’t getting a boy, so I became his fishing buddy. (I also have the privilege of being named after him, and I look like his mother! 😍) I spent many an afternoon fishing from the shore at a local lake with him. And on the way home, we always had the special treat of stopping at the little store near the lake, and getting an ice cold coke! Sometimes, we’d pour a bag of salted & roasted peanuts in. The mixture of sweet & salty was so yummy! It’s a southern treat. I’m from Mississippi, in the Deep South of the United States. 😃
The swivel was part of the setup connecting the line with, eventually, the lure or live bait. You had to tie it on just right, or off your lure or live bait would fly! Oops!
The most special purpose it served was to “swivel”, to spin and turn, preventing the line from getting twisted and tangled as you cast it, and reeled it in.
Thank you so much for sharing yourself, and your creative talents with us.❤
It’s not taken lightly, at all. I know it’s a lot of work. When I first found you, I believe you must have recently begun making your videos. You seemed a bit nervous. But now, you’re owning it! You look like you’re enjoying it as much as we are! ❤️
God bless you and your family!
    Jacqui

Thank you so much for sharing such cute ideas. I will be doing some of this in my journals and other uses.
The fishing swivels are for tying your line on one end and your hook the other.
