    Thank you for your video and replies/comments. I feel confident after reading them. I have a 1hr 20min transit time (Non-European), and there are mixed replies about security check -- some saying there will be no security-check only immigration some saying both will be there.

      Hi, I am a European citizen, and every time I travelled through frankfurt Airport, I passed through immigration counter. I haven't seen sécurité check. I have seen non European passport holders in immigration counters. You have 1 hour and 20 minutes. So, I suggest you finish the immigration process as soon as possible and focus on your way to your gate. It's a big airport.

So I suggest you walk directly towards your gate and not to spend time in a duty-free area or for coffee. Because it might be a long walk. Just focus on your way. Have a safe and enjoyable journey.

    I arrive from Algiers at terminal 1 of Frankfurt airport at 5:30 a.m. with transit to Chicago still at terminal 1 at 9:15 a.m. Is the distance between the place of arrival and the place of boarding for the USA far? Do we have to redo the security and customs formalities? Is there a place to rest during the 3 hour wait? This is my first time traveling and a little worried especially since we are a fairly old couple. THANKS

      Hi Sir, sorry for the late reply. I just saw your comment. When you arrive at the Frankfurt Airport, I suggest you watch the TV screens and verify the number of your flight number and the gate number of your flight to Chicago. Because the gate number could be variable. The distance will be dependent on the number of your gate. You have 3 hours of layover. So you have enough time to reach out to your gate. And if you need help or additional information, immediately approach the airport staff. They are very helpful and very friendly. 2) After the duty-free area there are coffee shops and you can rest there. But don't forget the time of your flight. Because it's very important to be at the gate on time.

When you arrive at the Frankfurt Airport, you have to walk to the immigration counter, and then you have to walk towards your gate number of your flight.. Keep monitoring the TV screens about your flight details. You will have your boarding pass with you, and you can see your flight number on it. Sometimes, you can't see the gate number on your boarding pass of your flight. So keep monitoring your flight number and your destination on the TV screens while you are walking. There are information counters and you can approach them and get the information you need. So don't have to be worried during your trip. Its very easy to get to your connecting flight at the Frankfurt Airport. And you have enough time to reach the gate. When you have any doubts at the airport, immediately try to talk to an officer. All travellers from India must apply for a transit visa for Germany. I strongly suggest you contact the German embassy through via email and ask for the current transit visa regulations. Because there are new updates every year. The German embassy can only give you the right information.

What happens if we are late in Frankfurt? Does our connecting flight wait for us or will we be put on the next flight that same day since it’s not our fault we missed it?

    • @travellingmemories7400
      @travellingmemories7400  Год назад +3

      Hi, I am sorry for the late reply. There is no security check, but it is about immigration control. There are immigration counters on your way to your Gate. I suggest you walk a little quicker than usual. Because you have only 50 minutes to catch your flight. And avoid spending time in the duty-free area. Normally, the airline officials will wait for their passengers. So don't be worried. And at the airport, if you need to find your direction or any information, i suggest you ask for the information at the information counter. So that you can save your time and you can reach your Gate in time.

      @him31anshu Hey! So in my case the first plane actually was delayed a bit so I only had 30 minutes left... I really ran for my life to catch this flight and I could do it! But you really have to run also if you're out of breath 😅 The US gates are really on the other side of the airport and this airport is huge...! You can do it, but you have to run and not lose time on anything!

    Bonjour, vidéo très intéressante, merci !! Je fais exactement le même voyage dans 1 mois (CDG - Francfort - Singapour). Avez vous eu besoin de récupérer vos valises à Francfort ? Et donc, si j'ai bien compris, il y a un contrôle des passeports également à Francfort, en plus de celui fait à CDG ? Merci pour vos réponses :)

      Bonjour, merci pour votre retour ! Non vous n'avez pas besoin de récupéré vos valise à francfort mais vous les récupérerai à Singapour à la destination finale. Oui il y aura un contrôle des passeport à francfort aussi. Si vous détenez un passeport européen, il y aura des borne automatique qui va scanner votre passeport et vous laissé passer et ils sont placer à coter du guichet l'immigration. Mais si vous ne détenez pas de passeport européen, vous serez obligé de faire la queue et aller au guichet de l'immigration ou il y aura un officier.
      Ce que vous conseille c'est de ne pas perdre votre temps dans la zone duty free mais de vous diriger assez rapidement vers votre porte d'embarquement de votre prochain vol mais si vous avez un petit creux vous pouvez aller dans les petit boutique qui sont près des porte d'embarquement. Je souhaite de voyage avec joie !
