    I came across your channel about a year ago trying to find random self defense stuff for bjj and after hearing you explain I immediately subbed cause I could feel you have a very high mat IQ, the level of details you could explain things were eye opening. Not every world class practitioners are good teachers and not all good teachers are world class practitioners. Sometimes they do many things unconsciously like you said I have never seen Gordon Ryan or Gary Tonon kipp like a fish in their escapes even though that's what they teach in their instructionals. It's always just one smooth motion. A few months back I got all the instructionals related to the kipping escape cause I really wanted to learn this move for good but it was hopeless, sometimes it would magically work other times it would never even move the top guy and I think now I can see why. I always felt like I am missing a major piece. I literally stopped putting it to work and moved back to the elbow escape. This is pure gold to be hoenst. Literally no clickbait, no one is teaching this.

    Great details, thank you for doing a deep dive into this escape. This was shown in our class with the first way you did it, and it never worked for me so I quickly dropped it from my game. Based on this explanation, I will give it another try.

    This is great. I've always had a problem trying this escape. Look forward to trying it with your details.

      In the beginning it felt completely stupid and all the instructionals helped much. Once I realized that all the good guys were doing it in a certain way but they did not teach it that way.

    Could you show how the kipping action beaks the lock?

    The guys with whom I roll are like 6.2, 6.3, and ranging from 220 to 250 muscle bound. What do you suggest me exactly ?

    • @EffortlessJiuJitsu
      @EffortlessJiuJitsu  3 месяца назад +1

      First of all you can’t change the laws of physics. It is never easy to roll against stronger and heavier guys. You can’t force things. But wait for the right opportunity to get out of mount. But the kipping escape is pretty strong for sure.

    This is similar to the details Galvao shows at 5:27: ruclips.net/video/VbYueGpaslQ/видео.htmlsi=iWGThQYJTR0DcPUZ&t=327. Thanks for teaching this!
