The original got me through so many tough times when it first came out. I hope your father recovers. This song is supposed to make you feel something and lift you all in one.
Your story is amazingly appropriate. The entire album is a concept of confronting death, this song is all about legacy and memory and how even when we're gone we live on in the memories of those we've cherished in life. Your father's lucky to have you as his legacy, and he will always be here as long as there are those that remember him.

I think what really makes these collaborations impressive is the fact that you guys aren’t in the same place recording everything. I’ve always wondered how you guys assign parts for the vocals. It has to be somewhat difficult all being in different places, but the effort you put in each and every time is appreciated. This cover turned out to be awesome, and it’s probably my favorite cover of Black Parade.

As the producer (Brad) I must commend Addie for assembling vocal parts for the 3 girls. She has really become quite good at knowing how to divy up the vocals, harmonies with multiple vocalists. She usually will record everything vocally, then send them to the girls based off strengths as a team rather than strengths as an individual singer. With 3 singers it's about making the best sounding entourage. Even if that means sometimes one girl may be better suited for a solo part... So we try to think what works best singing together.
Luckily it's not rocket science... Violet slays the lows, Lauren has the mids, and Addie the is the bright top end. You'd be surprised though sometimes the girls do switch parts up. When I'm mixing them all singing unison, they start to sound like 1 big voice and it's hard to tell who is who at times. It's really awesome.
Lastly, once in a blue moon I layer in Laurens screams with some of mine. They're totally different styles but make awesome layers. These MCR songs were all Lauren tho.

yo, they def help make me step back and be "reasonable" when I'm effing fed up with everything. In general, for me they're (I initially wrote "their" [sicut]) better than lithium for manic-depression type behavior.
I lost one of my closest friends to suicide a few years ago. I was asked to play an acoustic cover of this for his funeral. I couldn't will myself through it. This cover has me full on ugly crying in my driveway. Thank all of you for such an amazing cover of this. This is the version I wish I could have given to his memory. Miss you, Brandon.

If I may say with a heavy heart that these cover artists (from Halocene, Violet, Lauren, First to Eleven, Cole Rolland, Jonathan Young, Caleb Hyles, Ai Mori and Sershen&Zaritskaya) are the greatest RUclipsrs on RUclips as this very moment. Because they put in so much effort and creativity to make their own versions of already popular songs and I applaud them for that. Keep up the good work you guys.
This was absolutely amazing. I'm "slightly" biased as our community knows, but this is my FAVOURITE COVER EVER, because of what it has to come to represent. This has become my anthem in Twitch chat and the song that embodies my love for this community and vice versa. I'm so happy to finally have a Cene rock version for my playlist.

This is an absolute masterpiece. This has to be the greatest cover of all time. The harmonies were amazing, the drums and guitars were spot on, Lauren's screams were sick and million other things I could literally spend hours talking about.

I was never a My Chemical Romance fan growing up. I was already older than most of their fan base by the time they broke big and honestly my preferred genre was European style symphonic heavy metal. (Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Rhapsody of Fire, Kamelot, Startovarius, etc.) I first heard this song when Johnathan Young covered it several years ago with Caleb Hyles, and was instantly hooked by the melodies, the jams, and the energy. Now, years later, since my own father has recently joined the Black Parade on February 20, 2021, your AMAZING version just hits the heart so much harder. I literally burst into tears listening to it and it was such a beautiful, painful, and HEALING experience that I can barely find the proper words to express the emotions that were released. DON'T EVER STOP MAKING MUSIC!

I'll be honest. Love most of your collabs and covers. This wasn't bad but I preferred the solo version better. Not trying to be negative, just honest feedback. I felt the harmonization was better on the Paramore mashup. But still a great effort.
