Looks like alot of fun. Love the shots from the sky. This video makes me want to be on the river so bad. Kicking my butt that I didn't do more trips this past yr. Maybe this yr will be different.
Thanks for taking us along. Great trip. It's 19 degrees here today, so you're making me a little jealous being able to get out and do this. Steak and taters is my favorite camp meal.
Wow that is cold! We are getting some cold weather tomorrow in the lower 30's so I'm not looking forward to it. Yeah I will definitely be bringing steak again for sure lol.
No I never heard of it. When I was taking out a guy was taking his little boat out and said he was down at flat Creek tearing up the catfish and bass with live bait.
An app I used while kayaking long trips is just called “solo trip”. I think it is free and you just use it like you’re hiking. Real simple. Shows you speed, distance covered and a map of where you went.
@@Bamaoutdoors sure thing. I wish I could post a screen shot of it on here but I can’t. I know it was perfect for me. Oh, the other thing solo trip app does is you can set it to tell you every time you’ve gone one mile and the average speed for that mile. So if you have your phone in your pocket you don’t have to get it out and it’ll just tell you.
No I've been flying for several years this is the DJI spark. Some of my first videos was flying videos. Yeah the last few rains made for some good waterfalls.
I wouldn't say it's quick but it's not that slow either. For a bigger man like your dad it would be a good choice. There is some good kayaks out there but for me it was about the price, that is at the time I got this one in 2020.
As soon as I saw that boat landing I knew where you were. That is one steep ramp!
Yeah it is a steep ramp to get up especially when it's covered in mud lol thanks for watching!

It was a fun trip and I sure hope to do more this year too!
Really loved your intro today! Glad to see you out again.
Thanks I appreciate that!!
Enjoyed....!! Made that trip many times and you're right, it never disappoints....!!
Thank! Yeah it is a pretty stretch of the river. Looks like I'm starting to get into more sandy parts of the river at this point.
That was a beautiful trip. The waterfalls don't flow like that in the summer usually.
Yeah the winter rains really help with the waterfalls!
@@Bamaoutdoors makes it worth the cold weather.
Well I guess so lol 🥶
Great video and great kayak. I recently did a 3 day, 2 night trip with my Lure 13.5 on the Colorado River in Arizona.
Thank you! The 13.5 is great for them overnight trips and I need to put that on my bucket list for the Colorado River!
Glad your alright but i couldnt help myself i laughed like crazy when you slipped at the end......great video man looking forward to the next one!
It was some nasty stuff that's for sure lol thanks for watching!!

I really like the music set to your videos. This one is really good.
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching!
Awesome! Was wondering where you have been. Love the kayak videos.
Thanks! I'm still here lol just been so busy doing some remodeling on our house thanks for watching!!
That supper looked really good!
It was delicious!
Really good video bud, I live 2 minutes from the pea river bridge on hwy 52..I stop in every chance I get.
Thanks and thanks for watching! It's a really nice river to float can't wait to get back on it!
Nice trip 🎣
Thanks it was a fun time!!
Nice video! Enjoyed watching!
Thanks Phil!!
Enjoyed your video. A little Huck Finn trip on the river.
It was nice to be able to get on the river!
First i gotta say hehehe ! Have you ever heard of a old boat yard down around flat creek where they once tied up when running logs?
No I never heard of it. When I was taking out a guy was taking his little boat out and said he was down at flat Creek tearing up the catfish and bass with live bait.
I've never been mullet fishing, but it seems like folks used to fish for them in the springtime on the Pea River between Samson and Geneva.
I've been mullet fishing down in Florida but it's been years ago. I hope to be able to finish up the Pea River on the next trip.

Ok good deal I'll look at that one. Thanks for the info!

That sounds great! I'll download it today. I've been thinking about a handheld GPS a Garmin or something like that.
Great video! Is the drone new? Loved all the water falls!

@@Bamaoutdoors nice! I fly the DJI mavic air. Love it. Keep up the good work sir!
Is this a pretty quick kayak? Trying to get a kayak for my dad, he's a bigger guy 6'4 260lbs.

So, you prefer the river to the beach? As for me, I prefer both.
Lol yeah I have kids that live at the beach so we spent some time there too. It's good to go visit but that salt water is really what I don't like 😆
Did you fall down? Lol
Yep I sure did and I put that in there for your enjoyment! Lol
@@Bamaoutdoors 😂😂 that was hilarious!
No life jacket??
Yes but I just got me a good light weight one so maybe it will be more comfortable!
Prefer the river to the beach? How dare you?! Lol
Well you know me lol I'll have to show you the unedited clip where I was talking about y'all 😆
@@Bamaoutdoors oh my! 😂 I need to see this!
