That’s probably my favorite task on a tractor. Just plowing into a big pile of dirt, rock or mulch haha. I just used mine to do the mulch around the house last week. It’s never been easier than with a front end loader
Yes, you take the pressure off. What you did was relieve the pressure on the boom, but if your 3rd function works the way mine does, you need to have the key on, but the engine not running. Then push the 3rd function button and that will relieve the pressure on the 3rd function. Your 3rd function could be different.
I'm sure if I had one I'd find ways to use it all the time. Come 5-6 years from now once our trees are grown and we're cash-flow-positive, I'll be thinking about it for sure!
Hey Phil! I’m curious how do you manage your day job while fulfilling your responsibilities on the farm? Is your day job flexible? Just wondering what your advice would be on balancing the two. Thank you and love your channel!
The past year+ farm work was weekends only for the most part. I would occassionally do a little something on a morning before work, or after work, but mostly weekends, and that's generally how I'd balance it. Last month however, I left my job to start a new venture (www.servicemarketingschool.com), so that has me pretty consumed at the moment, but hoping I can ratchet up my farm time soon.
always remove hydraulic pressure otherwise you will fight to hook them back up. made this mistake with my backhoe, not fun. not a hard fix just get a wrench and remove one i the hydraulic lines enough to release pressure but much easier to relieve pressure before hand
Make sure when using other people’s tractors and renting dump trailers you don’t keep smacking the brush guard of the tractor on the dump trailer fender wtf
I could care less about a used beat dump trailer you clearly were hitting the tractor brush guard on the dump trailer you can see it moving the trailer when you hit it?

heck yeah!
Really cool video!
Thanks a lot. Glad you enjoyed it
Dump trailers sure are handy! I bought my first one back in 2004, and couldn't imagine not having one now lol
I'm sure if I owned one I'd find plenty of uses for it.
What a great combination of equipment to get jobs done!! Place is gonna look great!👍
Hope so!

That makes sense. I didn't hear or feel anything when I hit the 3rd function button so that might explain it.
Good video! A dump trailer would probably be a good investment for your operation. I’m not one to pass on free firewood either!

Is the piston battery powered?

What do you pay rent per day it is about 45 dollars a day here
Wow. That would be nice. There use to be a trailer rental shop near me that had dump trailers less than $90/day, but they closed up a few months ago.
If you can get dump trailers for $45 a day, you better start a business using them.
I work for snake river trailers where these are built. Interesting to see people using them.

yeah ok. pretty sure my rental period was far from this trailer's worst experience judging by the condition of the box.

I'm struggling to see your point.
