You didn't mention the Highline. The Highline is free and is an absolutely wonderful place, it is a raised greenway path essentially, and it goes through Chelsea, one of the better neighborhoods of the lower West side. There is some art deco along the path too. One of my absolute favorite places in the city.
You can see Manhattan free by getting on the ferry bus. It’s completely free. The ferry starts from the port and takes passengers to downtown and back. Also you should include nypl on 5th Ave. they have a treasure room with lots of rare treasures. Library is completely free.
Hi Sarah! I'm coming to NYC in the beginning of May and your videos are irreplaceable! Your advice are making my trip even possible because I'm on a budget. You are doing great job! Thank you for that!
The first time I want to NYC, my pouch with pretty much everything (passport, money, cards, glasses) was stolen. I managed to stay there for 10 days and do a lot of things without paying anything. Of course I survived on corn chips and beef jerky for a week but still...
Dear Sarah! Not only are you just kind, but at the same time emphatic, dynamic, though a bit incomprehensible to me, but it has a real undeniable American and female thing for your voice and action! Congratulation, János, from Hungary.
@ 6:18 AMAZING! 😆 I LOVE your videos, Sarah! I was in New York once before MANY years ago. If I did go back, I would have to stick to some of the smaller things because I feel like just getting to New York and finding a place to stay would break the bank!
This is full of fantastic options. If New Yorkers are not subscribing then they are missing out on great deals. It feels like a treasure hunt for those who want to plan a holiday and get into some of these activities. Well done ❤
Transplants should not be the one giving guides. I feel like even after 10 years you still don’t fully understand what it is to be from New York. you’re just giving the obscure tourist-y things to do
Hi Sarah! Your video makes our adventure in the NYC more cheap and interesting, especially for the tourists! Before I came across this video I don't know most of these things) Thanks a Billion!
Another great Video, Wife and I are staying in NY in June to celebrate 10 years of Matrimony. We will be renewing our vows at NY Harbor Cruises based off your recommendations!
Hey Sarah, fantastic content for an up and coming NYC visiting couple :-D Question: How long are those promo code valid? Just asking cause it's 2024 ...
Hi Sarah 🌞 - I really enjoyed seeing your recent YT adverts .. I stayed tuned for the whole message which benefits both you & the creator of the channels I was viewing. I hope the company continues the campaign its pretty cool 😊
A lot of these are technically free but you also have to allot time. And timéis money. For example those Bryant Park movies and performances are crazy crowded and the sound quality isn’t the best. Most New Yorkers we know about all of these. Also for some of those apps you are kind of giving them your data and personal info-so not totally free. Just saying!
American Museum of Natural History for example is actually pay as you wish only for NY/NJ residents (not free). I paid 1 dollar for myself. Outsiders have to pay $25.
I saw you in the Edge a couple of hours ago!! You look amazing in real life. But I was standing in line to go down again and you just came in and passed by with your filming partner. Thanks to you exploring NYC is great fun.
Love being apart of the audience on NYC tv shows...haven't been able to be apart of the snl audience yet though! Great vlog! Happy Friday Beautiful Lady 😘😘😘 xox
This is a great video! I'm going to be in NYC for a layover next week, and thanks to this, I found great things to do and hopefully will save some money with those two apps you recommended. 😊
Hi Sarah! Wondering if you have any suggestions as to where to go/what to see for someone who has been to the city 5 times now and planning a 6th trip! I feel like all of the lists I go through for things to do have already been done multiple times! It's such a huge city, I know there are new things I could experience! Thanks so much!
Wow! Lucas's juggling was really impressive. Sadly the Sterling to Dollar exchange rate is still too bad for me to be able to return to NYC. I'd love to visit Liberty Island to see the "new" museum
I'm coming to New York for the first time in December. Your Videos are coming in very very handy. Keep it up 😊 being an Aussie I gotta really get my head around tipping and tax being added at the checkout.
Hi Sarah, I am going to New York for the first time in August also, and can I book the trip with you? Do you have such a service? How can I connect with you please give me your WhatsApp or another connection ❤
@@LelaShamatava No one with common sense gives out their mobile number personal information to online strangers! Lots of scammers and weirdos around 🚩⚠️ If you're actually visiting NYC in August there is plenty of holiday companies who can arrange personalised trips to NYC 🗽👌🏾
I used Expedia to try to find things to do in between the things we paid to enjoy like charter fishing and climbing the side of The Edge. Is there anywhere to zip line?😅
10:27-10:37 Wait MOMA is free Fri 4-8pm? Their website shows $28 regardless of day or time for us non-NY residents. Thanks for posting a magnificent video, especially sharing your Revel promo code 3:25!
Hi Sarah,I watched alot of your videos before my solo trip last year, but now looking at taking my partner and her kids (11). Is there any fun things for them to do at Christmas time, any good videos to watch from yours or other RUclips? Thanks
Im going to visit NYC for the first time for my life in 2 weeks from now, and your video helps me a lot :) About the seated app, I cant find it at the play store, is this app avalieble for androaid users?
Hey Sarah my dad doesn’t work at your apartment anymore but I would love to film a video sometime because I really wanna be an actor when I grow up so just to let u know
wait so when it comes to revel, you say that code is for your first ride, then that codes can be used multiple times. Is it that you can use someone elses code for your first time, then after that you get your own you can use multiple times..?
I downloaded Seated, but it looks like you must have a US number to use it. Is this a must? Tourists won't get the most out of it anyway, but I'd use it of course!
I absolutely love your videos and watch them as soon as they post. But there was a moment in this one that was a bit of a wakeup call for me: "I don't know what this thing is" as you stood in front of the original Apple Macintosh Computer at MoMA. That phone in your hand would not exist today if not for that machine!
SOOO we tested Revel and they jacked up the price to make it seem like u are getting a discount! Two of us order and mine was 16 and after applying the code it was the same price of my daughters without using the code
I tried to sign up for revel as I’m coming to New York in may I’m from uk and it said my country code not valid at this time it did let me add the $20 credit but how can I use it when I get to New York

She probably includes that with the "attractions" category in the beginning of the video, still it deserves more emphasis
That's because this was just a paid ad for Seated and a few others.
These videos are a gold mine, Sarah! I am visiting New York for the first time in June and I am using your videos to plan my trip 😊
Me too
Same here
Mee too ..❤ let's meet up. Everyone 😊
Same although in July 😢
Mine is in August- it will my 3rd trip but I’m so excited!! 🥰
You can see Manhattan free by getting on the ferry bus. It’s completely free. The ferry starts from the port and takes passengers to downtown and back. Also you should include nypl on 5th Ave. they have a treasure room with lots of rare treasures. Library is completely free.
Love this Sarah! Such a proud Mom for all your hard work! Congrat’s on 200k subscribers!
Thanks!
The seated link doesn’t work, the free entrance option to MoMA is for NYC residents only 😢
Hi Sarah! I'm coming to NYC in the beginning of May and your videos are irreplaceable! Your advice are making my trip even possible because I'm on a budget. You are doing great job! Thank you for that!
How was your trip? These videos helped me out so much when I went last year in May. It was amazing.
8:04 why Sara is using a Samsung phone from year 2016? 😆😆😆 Should it be in MOMA by now... haha...
The first time I want to NYC, my pouch with pretty much everything (passport, money, cards, glasses) was stolen. I managed to stay there for 10 days and do a lot of things without paying anything. Of course I survived on corn chips and beef jerky for a week but still...
Dude! thanks I feel like your channel deserves
more subs !

Great video, great options. I love your videos.
Is the Moma on friday free for everybody? The site says only ny residents.
I love your videos! Thanks so much for sharing!
You and John have made some excellent tour guides to NYC! Going there Wednesday for the weekend!! Can’t wait
I am visiting in August and always waiting for your new videos because your tips are amazing
Fabulous video. Kept me smiling the whole time -- and TONS of Great recommendations! :)

Sarah Funk, Here be Barr are the two of my favourite channels for NYC info.
This was the best Sarah! Thanks for the tips. I can't wait to use Revel. Keep on!
6:24 I knew learning to juggle was going to come in handy one day!!
I heard the free days to the museum only apply to residents of NY an NJ? 🤔
Yes
American Museum of Natural History for example is actually pay as you wish only for NY/NJ residents (not free). I paid 1 dollar for myself. Outsiders have to pay $25.
Thank you for all of this great info. I just love your voice.

Yuup free movies in the summer are usually my favorite 😁🥰🥰❤️
After watching all your videos (great BTW thanks) I looked on the websites and museums etc say only students from NY go free 😢

Demasiado bueno para tener en cuenta en nuestros próximos viajes, gracias 😊
Were going to NY foe the 1st time by End of May. Dont know where to stay im on a budget and where 5 of us group friends.
Sarah, where can we eat comfort food in New York, I mean, a typical dish that one could call a typical American dish, but real food not junk food?
I used Expedia to try to find things to do in between the things we paid to enjoy like charter fishing and climbing the side of The Edge. Is there anywhere to zip line?😅

1:24: every major city does free outdoor movies now. Here there are multiple locations for free movies.

Excellent presentation
Best videos for tips!
So good to see your NYC videos
So the promo code did not give me a $20 credit. It only gave me 40% off.
U r so funny! When did they film this at 7:00 in the morning?!
Okay, some of the free is contrive but it's great for the cheapos. Does Seated offers restaurants that are 4-star and above?
Im going to visit NYC for the first time for my life in 2 weeks from now, and your video helps me a lot :) About the seated app, I cant find it at the play store, is this app avalieble for androaid users?

Whoa! Actually so good. And definitely actually worth it!
Excited ❤
Sarah...you're the best....
You're too kind. Thank you!
Is seated just in NYC or in the whole US?
I’ll keep it in mind, thanks!
Not Ray moving on to roasting robots😂
Do you have any codes for people traveling to New York from uk as seated and revel is not supported for me coming from uk it says
Can we have a fall/winter version of this :D
If you are not from the US you cannot download the Seated app
Super cool video
Hi Sarah, thanks for the tips!! Visiting in a few weeks - just wondering how much roughly is the revel to the jfk airport to Manhattan ??
With the following you should have 50% your first ride and $30 credit: RIDE50, ANDYC9563, MANIED3792
I’d like to know this too!
I had no idea about 1iota till watching this video. Thank you!
I am booking my holiday for January 24 and I am hoping to book a tour with you
SOOO we tested Revel and they jacked up the price to make it seem like u are getting a discount! Two of us order and mine was 16 and after applying the code it was the same price of my daughters without using the code
I think it depends on time of day aka surge pricing :(
Amazing!
Good video!
Thanks for sharing
Súper bueno 😊
I tried to sign up for revel as I’m coming to New York in may I’m from uk and it said my country code not valid at this time it did let me add the $20 credit but how can I use it when I get to New York
It will be available once you get to NYC! I think that message was only because you were in the UK
Can you go back to DUBAI again pleaseeeee. It has changed so much
NY ❤ I love the city
Pay what you wish is only for USA citizens?
