This week we do a deep dive into the incredible EcoFlow power kit that has taken our brand new tiny house off the grid. This system is a game changer for anyone wanting a comprehensive off grid system of a tiny house, cabin, mobile home or back-up system for a residential home.
You can see the full video tour of this tiny house here: • The EcoFlow Tiny House...
We’ve had a crazy month of weather here in New Zealand, including two cyclones and unprecedented flooding which has resulted in loss of life and unimaginable damage across the North Island. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience and being prepared for an emergency. It’s also another reason why I’m very thankful to have taken my tiny homes off the grid.
This new power kit from EcoFlow makes going off-grid easy. With multiple power inputs, including solar power, it’s a powerful and effective solar solution which has been especially designed with tiny homes, cabins, mobile dwellings and residential home back-up in mind.
We hope you enjoy this in-depth review of this system.

It’s been a month of extreme weather in New Zealand and that has taught me a lot about the importance of personal resilience. Going off the grid has never made more sense to me and I’ve never been more thankful for the systems I’ve installed in my tiny homes. We hope you find this deep dive into the EcoFlow system valuable and that you enjoy this video. With Love, Bryce & Rasa
So many times, for so many years I have been promoting REDUNDANCY in building a house, flow through ventilation, logical movement flow within and improving the environment around the house. Thank you sooo much for sharing, “Living Big In A Tiny House”. I hope it’s a fully and completely successful venture. May God bless you and keep you.
Bryce, my heart breaks to hear
about poor sweet New Zealand,
Ohemgee, what a hardship.
Thanks again for another informative video,
this new build is the coolest!
My son & I just got the keys for our own
tiny beach cottage home!
I'll be implementing as many of your tips as I can!

My heart goes out to everyone who was impacted by these storms. I will pray for those who have lost loved ones. I am glad you are ok. I pray you have safe and enjoyable adventures in your new home!
Bryce and Rasa, To say the weather has been insane this year is an understatement across our beautiful world! 😢 Praying for everyone’s safety 🙏❤️
Dare I say it's 'engineered'... Have been investigating this thing called Geo-engineering for the past 15 years. My heart goes out to all those who have suffered in so many ways... This is... I need a word for 'beyond evil'.
@@wakingtheworld it is partly due to engineering that started a couple hundred years ago. If changing the chemical composition of the atmosphere in a rapid unprecented way is considered engineering of course.
@@gilerd77 Using a combination of nano-sized (and toxic) particulates of heavy metals and a sophisticated and pin-point accurate technology called HAARP, any weather can now be created... droughts, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc, or just a lovely sunny day such as we always have for Royal Weddings and the like. These chemicals are sprayed from planes... mostly military... not trackable on Flight Radar 24... and oxides of Aluminium, for example, which cross the blood/brain barrier is the reason for the massive upsurge in Alzheimers' and Dementia and memory loss in general.
> A line 'hidden in plain sight' on the bottom of a billboard poster for a film called Geo-Storm that came out a few years ago.
@@gilerd77 or we can live with a fantasy that everything is new and every weather event is something that has never happened. All for a generation that are embarrassed to say ‘I live in a caravanz’ and need to say ‘ i live in a tiny home’ that’s not unexpected.
Coming from the place of exposure to so many off grid situations with this channel, gives you an expertise beyond just plugging for your job! You chose who to promote instead of working for a company and promoting them because you work there. This lends much credibility with me!
Bryce. It might be a good project for you to look at all the different appliances (not just your area) that one would use and what their power needs would be. You mentioned being smart about what one chooses. I know I’ve been interested in the Cinderella incinerating system, but until I questioned the supplier several times, I really had no clear idea of specs and power need (the power usage cycles up and down, not a constant pull). But this applies to refrigerators etc. Things like induction burners, InstaPots and slow cookers have different cycles. Tankless water heaters is another item I need to know about. So, you see, you could do a multi part series on appliances etc.
You would be someone that encompasses all facets of tiny living - you have such a big following and knowledge. Thanks
good idea!
Great idea
I have a few Ecoflow portable power stations to use as emergency back up power in my home. I hook up to solar and remove items from the grid when I can as well. I love ecoflow products and you are so right to recommend being serious about your real consumption. When I first started using them, I was in shock over how much power even small things that are on all the time pull. I don't have enough power to run my entire household, but I can keep my fridge and freezers going as well as lights and other odds and ends. Which is a great feeling. We get hurricanes and big storms here so outages are part of life. Having backup systems to keep yourself operational and self supporting during an emergency is incredibly important. Love the new tiny and excited to watch your upcoming adventures.
Thank you Patty. What size do you have ?
@@alexandramcleod2079 I have all the River sized products and an original Delta as well as a new Delta 2 with add on battery. Which I LOVE. I'm running my computer right now on my River Max! I like the small products for small applications like the computer or a fan or something. I can place the power station where I need it and not run extension cords everywhere. I do run extension cords to plug in my freezers but that's mostly due to where I have to place my solar panels. I keep the power stations inside and run long cables to the solar panels. I hope that helps!
Bryce and Rasa our hearts and thoughts are with you and everyone in New Zealand.❤️
Place looks so amazing.😊people don’t realize that you can also use a hand run crank generator if something should happen. So many things you can use to get power. Sorry to hear about all the problems in New Zealand. Last time I was on the beach was when I was three and my father remembers chasing me on the beach. He has been gone now five years. Take care Bryce & Rasa. Cheers.!😊
This is so exciting. I'd like to see how you are using this tiny house, and why a camper van would not be better for this use case. Thank you Bryce!!
Correction. Caravan!
This is a great system! It's nice to see off grid systems being developed that are simpler, and more streamlined.
This is such a special post - thank you for being so tuned in you both! and giving us a massive amount of knowledge so we can go out and get it sorted without too much research! GRATEFUL for your channel. Watching now for 5 years! THANK YOU for keeping it human!
My favourite tiny houses. ❤️ I really really love tiny houses. Wish I'll have one day. God bless you Bryce and love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
For those in the US, Incredible Tiny Homes is leading w/ solar & more affordable tiny living. They’re on youtube! ☺️
Waouw, i didn't know that you had been affected so much with rain and storms and tornados, here in Europe (France especially) we are facing the driest winter ever... so many people are still not taking this seriously. Mind yourselves, be safe and thanks for your great videos, there are my NOT guilty pleasures on Friday evenings
This is why I want to give up boat life, to go completely off grid , grow food and be a farmer on families land!
I'm happy you guys are ok - crazy weather is an understatement!
Friday night is LBIATH house night. I'll go get that kettle on. If you are ever in the UK you are always welcome to drop by for a cuppa guys. Cheers!
We hope to be visiting the UK again later this year! Cuppa sounds wonderful. :)
@@livingbig Yay, another UK video.😁 I am in the UK and would love to go tiny some day, when all the children have flown the nest.😂
Very interesting and informative video, Bryce and Rasa! I'm so sorry to see the loss that weather has caused. Safe travels to you two!! 🙏🏻💙
What a great video Bryce! In-depth explanation and really love how you can hear the passion for tiny houses in your voice!
Excellent video. Now that I’m aware of it, I can’t help but think about ventilation for tiny homes. I need ventilation in my 2k sq ft home for three people to keep VOC’s and C02 at safe levels. In small spaces those two things would go up very fast to unhealthy levels. Mechanical ventilation of some kind is needed for sure.
We're putting Lunos in ours, wouldn't want to be without it.
Bryce and Rasa, this is an amazing on-the-go-home. Brilliant example and tutorial of how to uphold the foundational reasons why going Tiny authentically reduces one's footprint. And this system may well, if it's not already demonstrating that larger homes may soon be able to do the same. Thank you!
Bryce and Rasha... Thank God your o.k. ....Condolences to the people that were killed ... sorry you got stuck for a Week Bryce.... sending prayers 🙏
This was posted a month ago! I never heard of the floods, that sucks. I try to keep my ear to the ground, too. Stay healthy!
So happy for you Bryce! Thanks for sharing. Hope your weather quiets down!!
Best wishes to everyone in New Zealand. Awesome system, and home, Rosa and Bryce. 👍😎🇨🇦📷💘🙏
I have been hearing about the storms and am glad that you are doing well. This was one very well done video for all of us to absorb. Thank you for you being .... you.
The first thing I researched when the power came back on in Napier was a power station... Ecoflow kept appearing, Ecoflow River was my choice. Thank you for your review 😊
Pray for those who affected by Natural disaster 😔😔😔. This tiny house 👌👍. Bryce and Rasa always you both, 😊🤗👍🙌 Stay Safe and Stay Blessed 🙌👍
This was so helpful. I live in an area prone to crazy weather and second your statement about building redundancy into basic needs. It’s so important! Great video!
Wunderbar , endlich wird das Thema Solar nach vorne gebracht.👍
Thank you so much, Bryce and Rasa for going through this. I checked to see if Ecoflow kits are available in the UK and they are! I'm so happy about this as I really want a straightforward power system when I eventually build my own tiny home :)
That is a very cool home you've got there. I'm glad you've found stuff that works for you.
I’m impressed with your research, scripting and as always the beautiful imagery. Seven years ago I started a simple off grid van/home backup system. Ecoflow’s scale able plug and play simplicity is now my first choice for a 21st century small home (independent from archaic electric grid monopolies) Thank you for leading so many of us towards a lower impact future.
Thank you Bryce and Rasa for the EcoFlow review. This would be a good system even for a fixed home for emergency purposes.
Great looking house and glad they sponsored your new travel home! Have fun on next adventures!
Very informative, and the way you presented, was perfect.... Good work Bryce
Thoughts and Prayers are with everyone in New Zealand......🙏 Take care everyone stay safe as you can... X
Great information on the tiny x
I had no idea there was such extreme weather happening in NZ! Where was this on the news!? Thank you for keeping us updated!
It's been awful looking across the ditch and seeing the mayhem of floods & cyclones which usually happen on our side, not yours! So glad you and Rasa are going off-grid to help insure you against the ravages of our increasingly extreme climate. Love the portable solar panels! Cheers from Melbourne 😊
Great to see you let your hair grow long again. I have enjoyed your videos for some time and don't comment often. Even though I live in an apartment, I find storage and decorating inspiration from small house videos. Keep up the good work. God bless you.
Great Video, fantastic Solution for most singles and couples wanting a Tiny home to travel and live it! The power module looks awesome. thanks for sharing
SO sorry to hear what you guys are going through.... as if the last 3 years haven't been enough under Jacinda Ardern. Am not techy and will not be designing or moving into a tiny... my flat is tiny though! Lol. This incredible kit was also recommended and installed by Max (of Max & Occy fame) who travels round Oz in his amazing camper van, so Ecoflow now has 2 verifiable top rated reviews. Shall pass this info on to those I know going off grid or planning a van conversion...
Oh wow Bryce and Rasa, your new tiny home is so beautiful and I like it a lot. I have to say that the weather where I live has been crazier this year than last year, we have had so much more snow and cold than this time last year, I am so ready for spring to get here, we have had so many stupid drivers that it is something to be really careful when you drive around. I really have loved your channel since I subscribed to it well before covid. I hope that you have a blessed and safe weekend, sending love and hugs, thanks so much for another great video Bryce and Rasa, bye! 🤗👋🙏💜💜💜💜
My Condolescens to the people 🙏🏻 Thanks God for the saved ones
Thank you so much for this video and brilliant review...just the questions that needed answering.
We have major, crippling scheduled electricity blackouts in South Africa and I have have seen Ecoflow advertising their systems and have been seriously considering this option.
This has given me peace of mind. Thank you Rasa & Bryce
I am happy you mention the weather nightmares going on in your part of the world, I am glad you’re both well, and I am very sorry for those two many cyclone victims. - I bought a Ecoflow set (Delta) last autumn, so not too much experience here in Ireland, I managed to load both batteries though (same portable panels as you).
Bryce and rasa thank you for the updates. It's an amazing house I love it
Great information Bryce. I wish you & Rasa safe travel and happy home💜beautiful home🦋 Thank you for sharing~~
They should include a human powered way to charge too, like a hookup to a tiny workout machine. Is there anything you can add on to a power station capture your tiny house work out power? Would motivate me to work out on rainy days :)
Yes would love some small hand or foot driven machines or a bike you could use when you wanna manuel charge your batteries. We need that ...." The Solar Bike by Bruce " 😄🚲🌞
I would love that too… different ways to power up from our own efforts and being able to select versatile ways depending on circumstances.
Oh no! I stayed in Auckland, and Manaia on the Coromandel peninsula, waaaaay back in 1989. We stayed in a retreat center in Manaia and took short day trips around the North Island. Such beauty. It is just chilling to see the footage of roads just fallen away. My heart goes out to all who have been affected, and hope there are resources and organizations that can help.
Ecoflow has done a good job with their various power stations and making them easy.
Plug & play is certainly valuable. But, to your point, redundancy and flexibility in times of trouble are too. A plug & play system can sometimes introduce the challenge of getting replacements when things go pear-shaped. Whereas, if your system is less homogeneously constructed, you can get parts from more varied places.
(Definitely not slamming EcoFlow, but highlighting another consideration to weigh into choices.)
Well said. This is a convienient option for the casual camper, but for those who wish to make it a lifestyle there is no substitute for self-study.
@@HegelianEpoch exactly. My first thought was that I'd have zero idea how that unit was built, thus no idea how to fix it if it went wrong. I'd have thought that would be the first lesson of off-grid living. It's actually quite ludicrous that we've designed a system of living (society) where almost everyone has no understanding of where their basic needs come from! Or what to do when they're not available.
WOW, a very sleek and functional home!
Amazing hi-tech house. Love how eco-friendly it was.
This is how you do Sponsored ads. That system is amazing.!
I love this video. Ecoflow is indeed a game changer...
great tiny house design!!!
I dig the EcoFlow products. After watching this, I will be using the power kit instead of conventional electrical wiring for my cabin.
Just one thing to be aware of with high frequency inverters such as Ecoflow. Is that if you use an appliance with a high inrush current, such as a table saw. Then it gives a really nasty voltage output to protect itself. This weird voltage output won't hurt the saw. But it is quite likely to damage other things connected.
Which is why I would recommend using a low frequency inverter such as Victron.
Low frequency inverters are just bulletproof.
Let just put it like this. I've never seen a high frequency style inverter in any datacenter or place serious about their constant voltage supply.
Safe travels to you both love and blessings to everyone
Thanks for all the information👍🏻
Cannot wait to use all these equipments, strategies and designs in my future tiny house😊🤞🏻
same...& P.S. I love your user name!
@@Visible.Friend Thanks mate😊
Bryce is such an honest and genuine person you immediately trust him and anything he'd recommend anyway. You just know that it has to be right for him to believe in it before he'd recommend it 😊
I love your tiny home, you made a very good decision using ecoflow
If I do a tiny house I am definitely going with this solar kit!
Thank you for the great recommendation & explanation!
This is off topic but I love the peaceful sheep in the back I just noticed them 😂❤
Thank you, that was very useful. Saved it for further purposes.
A lot of storms happening in the mid west U.S., too! Feeling for everyone whose been affected in any way.
Super beautiful house!
Much love to you guys 💕💕💕
So good talk about autarky and the problems that have surrounded New Zealand so far thank you for this
Sry for my bad English
Awesome set up!
That bathroom is stunning!
I have the EcoFlow River pro. It’s such an amazing product.
It's the way you explain for me. Your delivery is perfect 💯 %. Bryce you're amazing. The Oscars should put RUclips channels as a category for creators. You're one of the best. God bless you and Raza ( I hope I've got her name right) 🙏 ❤
That's the video I wanted to see 😍😍😍
I've been waiting for it patiently since you introduced your new home!
Pop corn time!
I'm so sorry you've had so much dangerous weather in New Zealand, the destruction and loss of life and peace of mind is indeed a wake up call for everyone to work towards community, kindness, caring for each other and realizing that we need each other more now than ever.
The solar system is amazing, though I am sure priced probably beyond many people's means.
Safe travels ❤️🤗
This one is really bloody beautiful. "I want that one"!
Great system!!!
Im sorry to hear about the hardship the NZ community has been going through. God bless you all.
Hey Bryce and Rasa, I hope all your friends and family/ies are all safe. I did actually think of you both as I checked on some of my friends and family in the North Island while sitting in Europe. You guys literally had the worst summer, it's awful. The same type of awful as the Australian Fires as I was in them! I agree, the weather does nothing but cements the need for greater acceptance of Tiny Worldwide. I hope governments start waking up and realise that they're needed and they aren't 'gypsies' or 'trailer trash' but actually modern homes with the same creature comforts on a tiny scale. All the best! Looking forward to your future videos.
happy trails to you!
Beautiful ❤️
so helpful. thank you!
Awesome! Thanks
Sending love to New Zealand 🇳🇿
We were lucky in that the tiny we bought, to live in while we wait on the one we designed to get built, had a full solar package on it and a rain catchment system already on it. I wasn't going to do solar on our dream home but have decided now to do it. I'll definitely check out EcoFlow.
Looking forward to your adventures.
Fantastic channel.
Great video.! Making these kinds of systems understandable to the average Joe will increase their use, which our world needs
My most prayer are with all of you❤❤❤
Nice place. I'm glad you guys are OK!
🏠Thank you for the information! Always good to see you! Stay safe on you new adventures! ❇❇❇
Nice work
Bryce, what about the cost? Not one video from anyone ever mentions the cost of these solar systems of any sort. Thank you so much for ALL you do!!! I am hoping and praying that one day down the road, I will be able to build my very own tiny house. Thanks again, we love you. God bless you and yours.
great info...thanks
I'm so sorry for what New Zealand is going through.
nice videography
I don't watch the news. Hadn't heard about the flooding. Praying for New Zealand.
I love the color scheme all black with a bit of wood.
