The owners of wiwibloggs said måneskin gave them this performance for free for their little wiwijam at home series, probably all other featured artists did... They recorded this session prior to their album release and it was honestly a win for both them and wiwibloggs when they allowed them to post it because this video went viral and played a hand in why I wanna be your slave became such a hit and also gave wiwibloggs a lot of traffic

I remember watching Eurovision being sleepy and somehow bored when Maneskin started...immediately I woke up and when that second versus came in I was like "Is he also rapping? Without taking any breath"? I was soooo impressed! And it keeps on impressing me every single time!

Writing Songs: Damiano writes most of the lyrics, the rest of the band makes the music for thier parts, they throw it together in the studio. There exists a film (found cut in some Parts at RUclips) about Maneskin and making of the Album "Il ballo della vita". There, you can see some of the creativity process and be convinced that everyone in the Band added something. (Thomas: "I don´t improvise a guitar solo, i need some time writing and practicing it.")
Producer: Don´t underestimate the producer Fabrizio Ferraguzzo. He was, and probably is, the musical director of the X-Factor Italy show, that means he is in charge for the prducing of all music acts of the Talents of such a show. He PRODUCES also every CD of Maneskin and lately becomes thier new manager. Only thier first songs "Chosen" and "Recovery" where professionally recorded in a studio paid by the money Maneskin earned busking on the streets. With "Chosen" they audited first in X-Factor. The rest of the money earnd by busking financed thier first Video "Recovery" (ruclips.net/video/gxgeu606ly4/видео.html)
WIWI Bloggs: Your right, this the top blog concerning Eurovision Matters. I´m not fully in it, but i expect that Wiwi is heavily supported with exclusive content. The Wiwi Jam is a music jam and "meet the Blog makers" event, which takes place before the main show since 2016. Blog invites the Artists of the ESC to contribute to the jam, with thier ESC songs an other material. I was streamed via RUclips. Due to Corona in 2021 the artist send prerecorded "live" videos of thier material.
Rap: I recognise that you are a huge Rap fan. For thier latest CD "Theatro d´ira" Maneskin decided to show, that they are a Rock band. They already showed that they can performe in a wide range of styles. We can expect (hopefully) much more interesting music in the future. Just hear the reggae feeling of the mentioned "Recovery", the rap track "Immortale" (ruclips.net/video/YfsP78ObXfk/видео.html - with englisch lyrics ruclips.net/video/ajcLukZjK7Y/видео.html)" (I´m not a rap fan, for me its some sort of rap) or the funky/rocky "New Song" (ruclips.net/video/Yb4Uf3Vi-Qc/видео.html).
Remember: They are in an age, where most people begin studying music.
Thanks so much for this info! Regarding rap, don’t let the frequent NF content fool you, I’m not usually much of a rap fan! I do enjoy looking at NF’s music though and I have been going through his albums giving a musical analysis. I’ve actually learnt a lot about rap from this whole experience. I’m definitely more of a rock fan. I absolutely love Måneskin from what I’ve heard, and reaction channels often do certain bands just to get followers and subscribers. There’s a reason why these guys are dominating the world. Thank you so much for watching!

They write all their music and lyrics together since the beginning (Damiano the lyrics, Thomas Vic and Ethan the music, for the most part).

Io ne ho 37, sono chiusa in casa con mia mamma con un braccio rotto quindi impiego volentieri il mio tempo a diffondere i Maneskin nel mondo (anche perché l'alternativa sarebbe il suicidio hahahaha).

OK, total transparency - If you love Maneskin, I'm gonna love you. LOL! But your reactions are so detailed and really do justice to just how talented and creative they are. :-)
There is a partial segment of In Nome del Padre which is also part of this wiwi blogs session. It's absolutely incredible and definitely worth a watch but the full live version of the song doesn't seem to have ever been released which is quite frankly a crime! You've never seen anyone go in as hard as Måneskin do during that song.

I know that others already recommended the song, but please do a reaction of Paura del buio (radio Italia live version with English subtitles)... you'll see it's worth it. That was awesome! I didn't know them but I'm a fan (have a favourable disposition towards Italian music since I had a gf that was a huge fan of Tiziano Ferro (yes, say about that what you want)). Quick question (from someone who has no formal musical education): the guitar's chord progression @08:55 seems rather a-typical yet awesome. How come?
Thanks so much for watching! They’re pretty cool. It’s more of a guitar riff (using one note) rather than chords. This does make it sound atypical as we’re used to hearing strummed chord progressions
Aren't they great (they compose and write their own songs, and they're only 20-22 years old by the way) ? I'm not a musician but I'm always interested in the creative process and understanding "how things work" so I really loved your analysis and would love to hear your perspective on some of their other songs. "Lividi sui Gomiti" (Bruises on the elbows), "Le Parole Lontane" (Distant words ), my absolute favourite "Coraline" (all in Italian, I'd recommend the versions with English subtitles to get an idea of the lyrics because they're really worth it, and the Radio Italia Live version with English subtitles for Le Parole Lontane) and "For Your Love" in particular come to mind. So glad I came across your videos, greetings from France !

@@TheMuserResoluteYes, we'll see how things unfold from now on (I'm not sure when was the last time a Eurovision winner ended up doing so well worldwide, I know Céline Dion won Eurovision for Switzerland in the late 1980's) but they certainly deserve it ! I hadn't been this enthusiastic about a mainstream band or artist since Linkin Park and Amy Winehouse honestly ! I Their music and rock sound is so refreshing in today's musical landscape and I'm really looking forward to their new album (that should come out by the end of the year apparently), and to hopefully see them live one day...

Hey there! I always see the comments! What kind of content are you thinking of doing? My set up is probably more unnecessarily technical than needs to be.
I have
- An audio interface (focusrite is a good one to get)
- Condenser mic AT2020 (with an xlr cable not usb)
- pop filter
- microphone stand
Other things I use:
- Headphones (Senheiser)
- I use my Apple MacBook as it’s great for music work and Final Cut Pro for editing (these are absolutely not necessary - I just like them and splurged a bit of $$ on it 😆)
- I’ve got a ring light and 2x LED lights
- TV as my second monitor (which I use to watch the songs on)
- Elgato green screen
- Elgato stream deck
- Keyboard (music)
Those from memory is everything I’ve spent on. It’s over the top and not the bare basics. I’m always finding more stuff to buy I think I need to stop soon 😆

That’s how they record live, no overdubs or auto tune, purely live.
